After driving around to a couple of shops we ended up at Kushara Collections and I am glad that we did. They had the perfect outfits for us as we were putting together a huge anniversary ceremony . Their collection is fairly priced and quality of the materials were very soft and refreshing. That's something one would appreciate living in a warmer climate wearing things like sari's. My cousin's wedding was a Friday and Thursday the outfit I ordered online was still in Delhi. I completely forgot about this business and when my cousin told me the female owner asked for me, I was surprised she even remembered me. Well Kushara came to the rescue. I first found a skirt which was beautiful and extremely cheap and a blouse from another rack that went well with the outfit. What I LOVE about this business is they are not pushy. They never have been unlike most Indian stores. The owner asked if I had a red or green dupatha and it all came together. I like that she never pushed me to buy something I didn't want or need. EDIT 10/26: It's unfortunate that you are PUBLICLY generalizing that all people from "my background" are disrespectful. We entered your store with no preconceived notions and left very upset because of your attitude, not your background. My parents raised me to believe that we share a common background and are all the same no matter where our Indian culture stems from, but clearly not everyone feels the same way. To clarify, we called to make sure the store was open before arriving. We had no way of knowing that your wife had major surgery, and if you had said the shop was closed we wouldn't have come in. You had no problem serving your other customers on that day, just us. Yet we all individually wished her a quick and painless recovery on our way out because we had empathy for her, but she wasn't even the one complaining. You were the one constantly bringing it up while we were shopping as if it was our fault she had to be there. And as for the white salwar, at no point in the conversation did size come up, so please stop trying to justify your rude response. It's not your job to question the relevance of every question a customer asks, but it is your job to answer questions respectfully. It was an innocent question and you bit her head off. ORIGINAL: Beautiful selection of clothes for special occasions, but astonishingly bad customer service. I'm shocked by the number of positive reviews on here, but maybe the owners were having a bad day when we visited. My family and I went to Kushara Collections on a slow Saturday afternoon. From the moment we walked in until the time we paid, we were treated with disrespect, rudeness, and impatience. When we first walked in, we told the owners we were just browsing so we could take a look around on our own before asking for help. As we started to ask questions, I was a little put off by the standoffish attitude both owners showed to us. But whether a customer enters a store with the intention of casually looking around, buying just one item, or leaving with thousands of dollars worth of outfits, it is the business owners' job to treat them with professionalism and respect. (Literally, bare minimum.) My mom was showing me a white salwar that she had bought a few weeks ago (from the same store) and noticed that the price had increased by $10. She asked one of the owners (husband) about it and he explained that their shipping costs had gone up by 30%, so they had to raise their prices a bit. But instead of ending the conversation there, he kept on going on and on about how since the store was having a sale, the item is 10% off and would then only be $3 more than what she paid for it originally. And then he said: "Is $3 too much for you?" She told him she was just curious about the price increase (it's not like she was going to buy the same dress twice). When she asked him to use a more polite tone, he continued to speak rudely and became even more defensive before eventually storming out of the store. Although he was calmer when he returned, all of us felt super uncomfortable after that conversation. My mom has health issues and had a sealed water bottle with her, and he asked her to put it away because food and drinks were not allowed in the store. Every time we took something off the rack to look at it, he asked us to place it back so it wouldn't get dirty on the floor. I had several items with me in the dressing room and after I tried on the first one, he walked over and asked if he could put the rest back on the rack for me. He was also very worried that I had dropped something on the floor, but it was just an empty plastic hanger! The owner also kept telling us that his wife had just had surgery and shouldn't be working. (Why was she there if she shouldn't be working?) I have no idea if he was trying to make us feel guilty for being there or if that was another attempt to get us to leave quickly, but I definitely didn't enjoy being blamed for her having to work during her recovery. We didn't even ask her to do any heavy lifting; all of our questions were about sizing and where to find certain styles within the store. While we were finally paying and ready to leave, he decided it was time to rant about how we were too sensitive. His wife agreed with him vehemently, and then he got into an argument with my dad after repeatedly addressing my parents as "uncle" and "aunty" even though the he and my parents were probably similar in age. (In Indian culture, we address people who are significantly older than us as uncle/aunty as a sign of respect.) If we hadn't needed clothes urgently for an upcoming wedding, I would have walked out of that store within the first five minutes because of the way my parents were treated. It pains me to share any of this because I typically have a lot of respect for small businesses and the quality of their clothing is definitely above average, but the owner's behavior was unacceptable. read more

The shop owners were so kind in helping me choose a skirt and top option, saree, and an outfit for my boyfriend. I can't even believe a shop like this stays open . They own an Indian clothing shop and the sale clerk is a racist against Indians . I went to the shop today to find an outfit for a wedding . The sale clerk maybe owner ? was extremely rude and condescending. Never been disrespected by a sale clerk . She refused for us to even let us touch the clothes . I came from parkland to visit this shop and was a complete waste of time because of this sales clerk . She should be fired immediately . I came to this place to purchase an under garment skirt for a wedding I have coming up. I was greeted by the owners who were so incredibly sweet. The owner looked at the saari I brought into the store and told me that I did not need to spend money on an underskirt and I could use leggings.
