True story. My daughter had a ring that she bought from a bubblegum machine that costed her 50 cents, she loved that ring so much that I decided to make her a real one. But I had no idea how until. My mom likes to sneak errands in by telling me, I do them the best :-/ So on one of my visits to Palm Beach she decides to unload a coffee cup box full of broken items to be fixed. I had no idea what to do with them. A quick Yelp search proved this was close enough to drop in. Walk in and one man is completely spaced out on an item that he's working on. I respect people that get nerdy AF about something they love! Another staff members welcomes me and asks how he can help. As soon as I tell him it's a repair he flags down Maurice and he's all eyes on me. Fills me in about the issues that he finds. Let me know that some pieces wouldn't be worth fixing. And shares all the options. Freaking great HONEST service! I pay, given a receipt and return a week later. When I returned the store was a little more busy. I take the time to eye some of the jewelry and bags displayed throughout the store. Cute unique items at a moderate price. Purchased my sister's bday/Christmas gift months early because I couldn't let that deal pass me. Every single piece that I gave him a week ago that was broken, bent, and dirty was returned brand new. Beautiful craftsmanship and he respects time. When I returned all the items to my mom she was ecstatic about the quick turnaround. Who doesn't like making their mom happy? My wife and I stumbled onto this store by accident a few weeks ago. He has beautiful items such as chains, pendants, watches, rings, earrings... we were so impressed with the beautiful jewelry he had in his display cases, I bought my wife a stunning14K white gold hamsa (with tiny diamonds) with a matching necklace; and a gorgeous pair of diamond teardrop earrings! I also bought myself a beautiful 14K yellow gold-filled mezuzah with a matching gold chain (I have gotten so many compliments on the mezuzah and chain!) The items I bought were so interesting looking, I fell in love with them as soon as I saw them. Maurice explained that he designs many of the pieces himself, that they are unique and that you will never see someone else wearing the same exact piece of jewelry that you bought from him. I placed an order for him to design a new wedding band for me (two-tone, white gold and yellow gold) and I placed an order for him to design a 14k yellow gold 18" chain for me. And... not only is the quality of his jewelry "top-shelf," his prices are incredibly reasonable!! And you could not find better customer service anywhere! Last week I brought in a couple of watches that needed new batteries. When I came back to pick up the watches I saw that he not only replaced the batteries... he also polished both watches, cleaned up the watch bands and fixed a small broken piece! I happened upon this store and low and behold the owner is someone that went to my high school. While he was a few years younger than myself, I had classes with his older sister and remember his family has been in the jewelry business as long as I've been alive! I haven't seen them in nearly 20 years! I asked Maurice or as I knew him "Robbie" if it was a good time to sell gold and he said it was. I had a few pieces that were broken and a few I know I will never wear again so I decided to take them in. He just moved into this location so they were still finding a place for everything but they have a huge assortment of jewelry and watches along with high end purses. Robbie and his gold guy "Fabio" checked the gold and weighed it. He offered me a more than fair price and since I had no emotional attachment to the jewelry anymore, I sold it! I know he gave me a great price because I've tried to sell this gold before and the offers were incredibly low and bordeline insulting so I've held off. I feel comfortable selling pieces and buying from someone I know even if it was 20 years ago. He made me feel comfortable whereas the other jewelers I went to seemed to try and get one over on me. Saw an ad in the Kosher Klipper for this store, so decided to give it a try. Upon walking in, I noticed how clean and beautiful everything was placed. So many different things to choose from watches to purses to all different types of jewelry. The selection was impressive. The staff was very helpful and friendly..I spent a while in the store and they answered any and all questions I had no problem. Prices were very good and I ended up buying quite a few different things including perfume for my mom for her birthday which she absolutely loves. I went to Maurice's Jewelry Box to sell my old jewelry and was pleasantly surprised. This place is a hidden gem, pardon the pun. Maurice offered more for my jewelry than any of the other five places I went to. Maurice and his employees were all extremely nice, warm and personable, albeit a bit more casual than most jewelry stores, but that for me that was a positive thing. Talk about a one stop neighborhood shop. I went to Maurice's Jewlery box store for one thing and wound up getting so much more! First, they not only made my engagement band bigger - but the time, personal interest, expertise, knowledge and professionalism was spot on. The care, time, follow up, TRUST, friendliness, price and workmanship that goes on there is exactly what I have been looking for! Not only did they make the piece that was needed for my ring, but I was able to pick up great priced birthday presents and teacher presents as well. Next I am bringing them a watch that I have been told can not be fixed and they are going to fix it! They say "I can" when other Jewelers say "I can not!" My next purchase will either be a coach bag from there or a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses! They even have old collectible records there that my mom and dad used to listen too!
