This business is accredited with an F rating on the Better Business Bureau. (I highly recommend leaving Kustom Cars and going two miles up the road to Best Buy) Furthermore I was overcharged a considerable amount for a Memphis amplifier. As well as charged a transaction fee for using a capital one credit card. They know they are incredibly sleazy and practice bad business, the proof is in their no refund policy. They do not offer assistance with their products nor do they stand behind them. Lastly they were no help answering my questions about installing the amp, despite the fact they are listed as an authorized Memphis dealer. They will not take good care of you! Response to Owner: Both my car batteries were drained dead after the first install that took 3 days instead of 1 afternoon as promised. I didn't even get a chance to use the lights yet when I had to call AAA to help start my car. Also, the LED control panel was installed under the driver's wheel, so yes I'd say you need access to the driver's side for that. The interior on the driver's side was also smeared with grease and oil. Also we had to keep bringing it back over a total of 4 months because the lights kept having issues - 2 weeks would go by and a problem came up. Bring back, fix. Another 3 weeks, problem again. Lather rinse repeat. It was not a "4 months later" thing as the owner would have you believe. Replying to this any more just makes me mad - I'm leaving my conversations with the owner here and you can judge for yourself if you want to spend money at this place. read more

Workmanship and customer service is horrible. RAY could not install my speaker on my bike.. I waited four months and 8 to 10 trips going up there and still not complete. I just counted as a lost, and went somewhere else to fix the half way job. They sold and installed LED lights on my sons car KNOWING it could drain his battery and did not inform him of this prior to him paying over $700. He had to have them removed a week later due to having to jump start his car EVERY DAY just to go to work. They then charged him $100 to remove them. So he is basically out over $800. No refund. No lights. Just NOTHING. After researching this company and reading old reviews, we are finding out that we weren't the only ones it happened to. We have filed a complaint with the BBB. read more

I'm so upset at this point I find it hard to know where to begin, so I guess I'll just start at the beginning. I went to check this business out and found that they could provide all the services that I needed, in one location, well at least that's what I thought and that's what they touted. That first visit was around 6/27/2020. I went back on 7/2/2020 and placed an order totaling around $1300, window tint, moon roof visor, window wind deflectors, smoked rear tail lights, and brake caliper covers. At the time I made the order I was very clear and detailed about what I wanted with the front desk associate, Jesus. The moon roof from WeatherTech and window deflectors were to be In-Channel also from WeatherTech. I pulled up the Caliper Covers from MGP on my phone and showed them to Jesus along with the personalized lettering and color, I even wrote them down for him. He walked out to my car and assured me he could tint my rear taillight covers and rear bumper reflectors and at that time I tooka moment to make sure he knew I wanted the In-Channel window wind deflectors. After placing the order Jesus told me that because of the 4th of July holiday it might take two weeks to get all the parts. Fine. When I got home I noticed that he didn't note "In-Channel" on the invoice so I called twice in the first week to ensure that he had ordered the correct window deflectors. I was assured in one call by Jesus and in another by the manager that they did. Now, its two weeks later, 7/18/2020 I called to check on parts and on the same day I even visited the shop. The Manager apologized for the delay and told me to bring the car in on Monday, 7/20/2020 to have the window tint and the rear taillights and bumper reflectors done, then I could bring it back on Wednesday, 7/22/2020 to have the rest of the work done. So I took off a half day work on Monday to do just that. After waiting 6hrs, the only thing that the shop got done was remove the factory tint. Again the Manager apologized profusely and assured me that he would make sure that everything would get done on Thursday, 7/23/202. So as agreed I dropped the car off 7/22/2020 that Wednesday night and went home confident that when I returned to pickup my car on Thursday evening that all of my work would be done. SILLY ME. So now it's Thursday, 7/23/2020, I return to the shop to get my car. I met Jesus and one of the technicians in the lobby and they proceed to tell me that my rear taillights weren't done, the brake calipers were not correct and needed to be reordered, the window deflectors were not the right ones and needed to be reordered, however he put them on temporarily until he could order the correct ones. He told me that the tint was done and the moon roof was installed. At this time we are in the middle of a pouring down Tornado Warning storm, therefore I couldn't get a good look at the so called installed moon roof or the tint, but I immediately noticed the incorrect stick on deflectors on the windows. Of course not happy at all with any of this I decide to take my car home. I'm less than a half mile from the shop when the front two deflectors fly off the car. After finding them, as I get back in the car I noticed that the moon roof was not seated correctly, the rubber base that's supposed to seat flush to the top of the car was actually rumpled. Therefore, this means that after THREE weeks, the only thing that this "One Stop Shop" was able to do was remove and re-tint my car, which I still don't know if even that was done correctly because of the rain. I am truly disappointed at the service from this shop and that I chose this shop to order and install the parts on my car. Unfortunately, I have to return to this place to have the remaining parts installed, which according to Jesus may take another 2-3 weeks. Lesson learned, beware on the "One Stop Shop", because obviously it could all be a front to get you in the door to only find out that the "One Stop Shop" (aka. I have a 1997 Jeep Cherokee I brought to Kustom to have the truck raised four inches and also got some rims and tires, I also gave them a air horn to install so I dropped truck off they said it should be a day possible two. It took them over two weeks and I had nothing but problems they broke my grill the truck was shaking real bad , it turns out that they but the wrong spacers in when I ask them to order the right ones I kept getting the run around so I went to hardware store and got some spacers and did it myself, it fixed the problem but there still not the right ones , the owner said oh that should be fine, no I want the original spacers he never got, anyway I can go on and on but I just wanted to let everyone know that don't bring your truck there to get lifted, they don't know what there doing. I had a radio installed and back up camera in the morning. The job was finished very quickly in about an hour and a half. When I picked up the car the radio just kept powering on and off and could not get any of the controls to work. When I called they told me to bring it back in and they switched it out to another new system and Then I could get no radio stations. They came out to look at it and said there was a problem with the antenna that they fixed. I assume they just did not hook it up. At that time when I prepared to leave, the radio then started to turn on and off again as it did the first time. They came to check it out and discovered that the installer left three naked dangling wires that were touching and causing the radio to malfunction. They fix that and it seems to be working OK now. I then asked for instruction booklet on the radio features and they had to go search for one to give me as if it did not come in the box with the radio. I noticed the installer was having trouble pulling my truck in and out of the bay to work on the radio. I noticed two scratches and a little bit of missing paint but I could not prove what had happened since I did not actually see what he came into contact with. They got me last week after years of using their shop for my systems and rims. I brought my van to get the radio and system rewired because my brother in law had it all messed up. They successfully rewired the radio but reused the same messed up wiring for the amp and subs. After spending $373, and being charged for amp and sub installation, it's not working. Just relocated to the Greensboro area. Spoke with a guy last Monday about ordering tires for my moms car. Told me call back Friday to order tires. And they would be here Saturday morning. So I drive all the way to Durham to get my moms car to come back. And they asked me could I come back Tuesday. It was probably one of the most unprofessional experiences I've ever encountered. Not the ideal place for people who like professionalism or great service. If those things does not bother you it's the perfect place for you. IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE FIVE STARS I WOULD. I brought my car here to have my subwoofer installed on my brand new 2022 Toyota Camry with NO problems. As soon as I got the car back, all of my collision avoidance systems showed error, my cruise control, traction control, etc. After bringing the car back to them to see if they could fix the issue, one of the many idiots there suggested that I allow them to take the subwoofer out before I brought it to Toyota service so it would be covered under warranty. UM NO THANKS. So fast forward, the car is fixed by Toyota with a total of $1,350 because of the wire they cut and jimmy rig way of them hooking it up in the first place. The same day, I brought the receipt back to the shop to seek reimbursement as a result of something they caused directly. The idiot manager who works there said that he needed the owner's approval (Ray, whose real name is Nijama Abas btw) before writing me a check. Ok understandable, I just need my money. Two days later I still have not received a call from anyone to resolve the issue. They are not taking me seriously and now I am filing a claim and seeking more than that. Just had rims put on car as a gift to my daughter. The guy at the front counter was preoccupied with other calls and people and was very rude. He was very short with his answers and did not give us all the information that we needed. We had spoken with him the day prior and was given different information about rims. We still purchased rims and had them installed on a car we just purchased from a dealership. We picked up the car after installation and was told if any problems to call. We notice vibration when breaks were applied, and the tpms came on. We called the store back and was told that if there was vibration it was a problem with the brake pads but not the work they had done and didn't want to look at it. I was also told that the sensor light would go out on its own. We just spent 1000.00 on rims and this was how we were treated. Now having to take a new car to shop to work on vibration. I am a very dissatisfied customer it started on Feb 3 when I came in to get a new TV and a DVD player for my van. I was told that they would have to order it and it should be in that next week.So I put $100 dollars down on a $580 dollar total. That next week Monday Wednesday and Friday I went to the store to be told it was not there yet. The following week Monday I was told that it still was not there yet but they would call me when it gets there. I decided to go there a couple days later on Feb 18 to be told that the TV and DVD was there and it would be about an hour wait. They finally got to it and finish to tell me that they had to order another piece and you could watch the DVD but would not be able to hear anything.So I paid the remainder balance of $480 dollars and took my new TV and DVD player that I could watch but not hear to come back that Monday the 22. I go up there Monday and the part was there with another hour wait they finally get to me and finish to tell me 1st that the wood man was not there so I would have to come back in Wednesday or Thursday to get it finished and that if I wanted to listen to the radio and watch the DVD at the same time I would have to buy a 2 channel amp. A shock to me being that I could do both be fore I brought it to them. I was then told it would be the end of the week or next week be fore it would get there if they ordered it and it would be another $100 dollars. Not wanting to wait I asked how much would they charge me to put it in if I went out and bought one myself I was told $45 dollars needless to say I went out and spent another $50 dollars on a 2 channel amp and took it up there to be told that they were to busy and I would have to bring it in the next day witch is today Feb 24.
