I love Kut N Beauty! They have all kinds of beauty supplies. It's like Disneyland for hair, skin, and nail supplies. I used to live right by Kut N Beauty. I remember this one time I came in here right after I messed up my hair by trying to bleach it by myself lol The lady up at the front was really sweet and gave me some good tips. She did tell me over and over that she is not a licensed cosmetologist, and that she can't guarantee it would work lol I still appreciated the pep-talk, advice and her not judging my messed-up hair LOL This is a great place overall. The staff are amazing. I also came in to Kut N Beauty before to buy hair extensions. They had some really long ones that I wanted! Lots of different colors to pick from too! We became their customers because of at least one product they carry. Kut and Beauty carries a seductive Morrocan oil that Mr.B puts in his hair after his shampoo. It makes his hair soft and shiny, and smells delicious, like an ummm-ummm good musk. I can't keep my hands out of his hair when he does this. And while yet another beauty supply store, we find ourselves right next door often enough, when we are already patronizing the Coffee Bean or the Navy Federal Credit Union as we pass through Lake Elsinore. All three are right next to each other in the same shopping mall. And they are near to Costco for gas too. So this is a great, convenient location for us. read more

If I can put no stars I would! I sent mom for a haircut and style for her birthday. Who doesn't want to get pampered on their birthday right? Well, when my mom showed up for her appointment and Amalia was unfortunately the absolute opposite of what I thought I had set up for my Mom. Amalia was extremely rude and aggressive as she insulted my Mom by insinuating that she changed the time on the appointment card. Now, you can only imagine how my Mom felt after this encounter. I can't believed that this woman almost ruined my Mom's special day. Came here last minute for a quick blowout and Kathy answered the phone and got me in with Glindelyn right away. She did a great job and was accommodating to my time frame (I was in a rush). I'm also a hairstylist and could tell they both really know their stuff (we talked about our favorite product lines, continued education, etc.) Kathy had a customer walk in for product while I was getting my hair done and the customer needed recommendations and Kathy was very knowledgeable and attentive. I would like to thank the lady working at this establishment yesterday. I have been trying to get the right shade of red not too purple and not too orange with 100% gray coverage; I've used every brand under the sun and mixed and matched to my hearts content and while I got close to the shade my grays would pop out immediately after coloring. I've been in this place three times now. I've held back on reviewing in hopes that each time was just a fluke, but today was the last straw. I needed to pick up some color and toner but was unsure of which color I should get to cover a faded dye I had in my hair without making it worse. The owner Kathy asked me if I needed any help when I walked in, so I let her know the issue and asked her which color would be best, and gave her the idea of what I needed all the way down to the base colors. She then, very rudely, told me she can't help me because she wouldn't be the one doing my hair. Now, she is the one SELLING the products, but she refused to discuss them with me. I almost walked out, but I knew I needed dye, and didn't have time to run to the other supply store, so I had no other choice but to purchase the products there. Then while trying to discuss the products she's selling, she kept telling me that I shouldn't be the one choosing the dye and that I needed a professional to help me (Isn't that what she is?). While I was in the store, a teenage girl came in to ask how much for minimal highlights, and Kathy refused to give her a price. She obviously didn't want the customer, because the entire conversation was basically to get the girl to leave. Then as soon as the girl left, she walked to the back of the store and started making fun of the girl. Previously I went into the store and Kathy ran my debit card. She said it didn't work, so she ran it again as credit. I found out two days later that she had double charged me, so I called her and explained that she charged my card twice. She called me a LIAR and told me i was just trying to get money out of her. I then returned to the store with a copy of my bank statement, and she tried to argue with me that I must have made two purchases. Two, within one minute, for the exact same price? No.... I then informed her that if she didn't reverse the charge and refund my money I would be going to the bank and filing fraud against her. She then returned my money but the entire time told me that there was no way should could have made that mistake. Basically, in my opinion, Kathy has VERY poor customer service abilities, and really should hire someone else to run her store, because I would rather drive to the other beauty supply store then to ever step foot in her business again. read more

Had my eyebrows waxed by Ashley the esthetician and was very pleased. Took the time to do the shape exactly how I wanted them. Very clean ( did not double up like some places do) and professional and made sure to work to get things exactly how I requested them. I think I have found my new waxing guru! If I could give this place no stars, I would. So, the hubb and I made a quick stop to grab a few products after the gym. Mind you, it was about 8:59 when we pulled up. I get off the car and as soon as I make it to the door, the owner (Kathy)walked out and locked the door(let me remind you I was standing in front of the door), so....I thought,"Oh, silly me....the door was probably still locked,"since it's 8:59-probably 9:00 by now. Well, to my surprise, NO....she was LOCKING IT! She then turns around and says, "I'll be back." I was floored! Guess where she went? She walked two doors down to get her morning coffee!!!! So, you mean to tell me that your coffee Ms. Kathy is more important than your customer, who was about to replenish her low supply of Moroccan Oil products?!?!?! I was speechless! My husband could not believe what he was witnessing. She was extremely rude. Never even cared to greet me. Just turned her back and walked away. She obviously needed her morning cup of caffeine...BAD!!! Well, good luck to you Ms. Kathy, because now I would rather drive to the next salon to get my supply of Moroccan oil products(even though I live 3 minutes away from your store/salon). Moroccan Oil corp will also get a little complaint from yours truly. They shouldn't supply a careless business like such with their exclusive product. read more

I came to this store to buy a hair product. I asked the Manager there for some help since i wasnt too sure about what i was getting. From the moment i asked her for help she was very rude. When i would ask her a question, she was so condescending and just had a horrible attitude overall. Another customer walked in to get something for his wife and i overheard her giving him the same attitude. I cant understand how someone like that become a manager. If you dont like talking to people or being helpful and at least being somewhat of decent person, then thats not the kind of job she should have. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I bought my mom this nail polish gift set which contained a polish that she's been looking everywhere for, only to find out that my aunt had already bought her three of them for Christmas. Thinking I could go with her back to Kut N Beauty and have her pick out something else, we went back. It was then that the manager began screaming at us telling us that she could not take back nail polishes that had been used. It was extremely obvious that our's had not been opened and when we told her that she got progressively angrier, yelling to us that she didn't make the rules. We were never told we couldn't return polishes when we bought the item and no where on the receipt does it say so. This woman's attitude was absolutely ridiculous, and when brought up that she should not be treating customers so badly she yelled at as once again. I will never go back as I have never been treated so poorly in a store of any kind. read more

If customer service is what you are looking for Kut N Beauty in Lake Elsinore CA is not the place. I selected to patronize this shop because I believe in supporting local businesses. To my dismay after having a problem with a product I purchased; which was recommended by one of their stylist and wanting only to exchange the product for one that worked well on my hair, I was personally reprimanded for not having a receipt. I had to hear why the receipt was important etc. I then attempted to explain that I had no intention of returning the product, but once again my explanation was poorly received. I also informed the attending stylist that I had used the product twice. She opened the bottle and pretty much without blatantly calling me a liar, stated that there was no way I had used the product only twice because the product level was too low! After patiently waiting I was finally told that I could exchange the product and was directed to get product from the shelf myself. I was extremely disappointed in the entire experience and the absence of professional courtesy. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to inform you all that this place of business will gladly sell you a product but beware if the product does not meet your standard and you have to advocate in order to return it. This business should receive no stars and make no mistake that I will be addressing these concerns with corporate. As an educator I was truly appalled that the person I dealt with was so willing to quickly judge and degrade versus offering a loyal customer the opportunity to continue to patronize a local business. read more
