Terrible, just terrible. Came in and got an absolutely terrible cut after giving very simple and specific instructions for a men's haircut. The lady had no game plan on how to execute the cut, nor the skill necessary to get it even 50% right. I'd rather she be honest and pass me to another person if she wasn't up to the task. read more

We walked in and got right in, no wait, score! My daughter just wanted a trim, we both get kinda nervous about salons. I had recently had a visit to this shop to get my child a haircut and I honestly have never been more disappointed in customer service and quality. My child's hair is ruined and not only did I have to pay for sloppy work, I have to buzz him myself at home. Maria had cut my child's hair and I have never seen such unprofessional behavior in working with a child. I know it can happen but she cut my kids neck, his hair is splotchy and ruined. I had asked her to fix it and she made little to no effort in ensuring that in the end his hair would look nice. When asking her to fix it she simply stated "she has an appointment", so from this visit I can conclude that customer satisfaction is not a priority at this establishment. My child is hurt, upset, and on top of everything I have to work for something that should have been done. I will be looking to spend my money and time anywhere else. read more

I was styled by Maddie or Mary (it was an older Hispanic lady). She was very nice but she washed, cut and blow dried my hair in less than 40 minutes which I thought was a sign that she was experienced and does good work quickly. I showed her a picture of subtle layers, and face framing and gave her that description as well. She gave me very harsh layers and it only looks good when you curl it a certain way now. I can't wear my hair straight down anymore because it looks so choppy and horrendous. It literally looks like she cut the top half at one level then cuz the second half at another level and the layers don't blend or look subtle at all. I don't recommend coming here. read more

Great place! They had beauty supply store on one side, and the salon on the other side. Very happy, pic to follow . And Magy was very nice, and helpful regarding my recent hair loss, and dry hair. The hair dresser cut more then I asked, I did tell her after the 1st cut it was too short but she didn't section my hair in parts just grabbed chunks of my hair so she couldn't stop the cut. Would give zero (0) stars but not available. Asked for someone young, stylish & who specializes with long hair cuts. Was referred to Nicole. Was going with long layers at first (luckily I didn't) but Instead asked for a basic trim (1" max). Didn't want a straight and blunt cut across the back but kinda roundish like a soft smile. Couldn't clearly see the results at the salon. But when I got home, here's what my hair looked like!!! I immediately called & went back for a fix. Lost several more inches and could still not be fixed without cutting at least another 5 inches to look even. This is the 2nd negative experience Ive had there with 2 different "stylists". I should have never returned after the 1st cut. Will NEVER go back there or recommend this salon to anyone. This place seem to specialize in mens/barber styles. Such a horrible experience. I purchased a hair dye from this location that was old and exposed to air. So I called and spoke to Lorena and let her know that the product looked different usual. She immediately told me that it was still safe to use and that I should have no problem. So I mixed the developer and the dye together. Moments later she retracted her statement and told me that she would call someone to confirm whether or not it was safe to use the product. I had already mix the developer and with the hair dye since she previously told me that it was safe for me to do so. She called me back moments later and said that I should return back to the store so she could exchange the hair dye. When I arrived at the store I was told that she could only exchange the hair dye and not the developer since the hair dye was the only faulty item. She told me that I should not have mixed the developer into the dye even after admitting that those were her original instructions. She had the worst customer service I have ever seen, screaming at me in front of other customers and all. When I asked to speak to the owner of the facility, she shoved the items back to me and exclaimed I would have to wait until Monday. I then called the other Whittier location on Whittier Blvd. and spoke to Fatima who said she would call me back after she spoke to Lorena about what happened. She couldn't help me either and basically stated that I was a liar and that Lorena did not tell me that it was safe to mix the items. I am now waiting for someone to call me on Monday and see whether or not they want to keep a customer or admit that they need to educate their employees on customer service and product information. read more

This place shouldn't even get 1 star! I'm so upset about what they did to my sons hair. They took what should have an amazing experience and turned it into a nightmare. I took my son in to have a little over 10" of his hair cut off to donate. The lady didn't seem to speak English well at all, and obviously didn't understand what I asked of her. I already had my sons hair tied up into a ponytail at both ends to be cut off. We measured at home how much he wanted to keep. The first thing that went wrong is that the lady moved the hair tie. I yelled at her no, and moved it back. I must have told her at least 5 times to cut the hair right above the hair tie. She cut it maybe an inch above the hair tie, and didn't make one clean cut, oh no she hacked at it. When all was said and done it was so choppy, with the shortest layer being right below his ears. Then she asks if he wants layers. Seriously?! What teenage boy wants layers! So I tell her to cut it straight, and now my son is left with such short hair he can't do anything with it. I'm so upset I had to pay for this to happen to him, and now he's leery about donating his hair again (which should not happen)! Don't go here unless you want a horrible haircut read more

It is absolutely discurteous from this business not to have updated hours. According to who ever is inside the closing time is 8pm ("covid hours") as if 2 years after covid isnt enough time to update when on google it clearly says 9pm. I just drove from Pomona for this? First off let me just say do not come in here if you are asking for a trim!! My hair takes forever to grow and it was very long and beautiful, I loved my hair aside from the really bad split ends I had at the tips. I told the lady I only wanted my ends trimmed and she said okay. I was sure she understood what I wanted. I also told her I wanted long layers. So she goes on to wash my hair and all, I get in the chair to have my hair trimmed and she CUTS 2+ INCHES off. What is it with hairdressers getting scissor happy and they continue to cut and cut and cut. I wanted to cry!! Then she goes on to tell me she is not cutting layers bc my hair is "too thin" and it wouldn't look good on me. What??! I did not ask for her opinion. I had my grandsons hair cut here for the first time. The stylist is one of two that my sons used to have cut their hair when they were little. Had my youngest sons, now 25, long hair cut for the first time too. As always, I love their customer service! Our family has been patrons for many years. As long as I live close enough, I will always frequent this establishment. Prices are still reasonable. Their beauty supply line was a nice add way back then and still is! Horrible customer service! Never coming here again. I called yesterday at 6:00 pm to book an appointment for my 84-year-old grandmother who wanted a simple trim. I confirmed the appointment multiple times with the person on the phone, who was already rude btw. It was end of day so no biggie I thought they're probably just tired. They said they had availability for 3:00 pm today, which is my grandmother's birthday dinner and she wanted to look nice. When we arrived, they claimed that they had no record of our appointment and were extremely rude to us. They didn't even offer my grandmother a chair to sit on while they told us to wait for a hair dresser to become available. We decided to leave because of their rude discriminatory behavior and lack of consideration. Whoever I spoke with didn't write down the appointment, despite my confirmation several times. Please go somewhere else where you will receive better treatment and service. read more

I have been coming here for a while ONLY because it is close to home, fast, and low cost. Although, they have been raising their prices. This last time I went will definitely be my last! I'm not one to get a fancy hair cut. I always just want a trim and all one length, it's not that hard right? Well apparently it is. I wish I could remember the lady's name who cut my hair!! As I sat in her chair and waited for her she was on the phone even when she was standing next to me. I could already tell she was bothered by something and throughout the whole hair cut she was checked out. She kept staring outside not paying much attention to me. At the end she was shaking my hair out but with her hands rubbing across my neck she was scratching the crap out of me. So hard she yanked my earring out of my ear and it went flying.
