I stop by this place whenever I'm around for their Paan Pasand ice cream, a unique betel leaf flavor with fennel, dates, and mint that you won't find anywhere else. Their other ice creams are rich and creamy, but paan is always my go-to. The pastries are solid (Black Forest is my fav), and the Falooda is a full-blown dessert-meal with sweet milk, vermicelli, basil seeds, rose syrup, and nuts. I first tried this place in Austin when my friends took us there during a visit from Seattle, and since then, I've been hooked. Now, every time I'm in Dallas or Austin, I find myself craving it again. My absolute favorite here is the falooda. Honestly, it's the best falooda I've ever had. It has the perfect balance of vermicelli, chia seeds, and jelly. I've tried both the Shahi Malai and the Original Shahi falooda. I do wish they offered scoop customization like some other places, but still, the experience is worth it. If you're trying falooda for the first time or want the best one they offer, I highly recommend the Shahi Malai. It comes topped with rich kulfi malai pieces, ice cream, and nuts. As the kulfi melts into the mix, the flavors come together beautifully. I just wish it had a bit more jelly. The Original Shahi falooda has a nice rose milk flavor. We were delighted to find traditional Indian flavors like kesar pista (saffron pistachio), malai (cream), chikoo (a tropical fruit in the mango/banana/jackfruit vein), fig, guava, and mango. While it couldn't compare to one of our favorite shops in Columbus, Ohio, it still gives that taste of Indian sweets that's a little hard to come by in this, Indian-specialty-cold-sweets-shop, storefront format in the US. We bought a malai falooda and got a pint of kesar pista to take home. We both agreed that the malai falooda was on the pricy side for what was received but a worthwhile treat for special occasions. We loved the thick straw that allowed us to enjoy the vermicelli noodles along with the creamy drink! The kesar pista kulfi was very hard packed and delicious though the nuts seemed a bit stale--which didn't stop either of us from enjoying it! This is a great spot to grab falooda. I tried the original falooda drink and it was great! The rose flavor, noodles, and malai kulfi ice cream all went together quite well in this drink. I will say that when I came here, there was a pretty big line here (as there was only two people working at the counter). So, you might expect a small wait when coming here. Apologies for the brief review, but I just had a quick taste. I understand that this place is probably more well known for the sugarcane juice drinks, and my dining partner partook of that, but I was after ice cream. Although I wanted to try some of the Indian flavors, I was drawn to butter pecan (a long time favorite) and Ferrero Rocher, having been a fan of the candy for a long time. Both were very creamy and nicely sweet, but not totally off the hook on the sweet, which is a very welcome attribute in my opinion. The texture was pretty firm, as they keep it pretty cold, so I let it melt a little before consuming. I know some complain about the price, but the store was clean, the product was good and there was a lot of variety, so I'm OK with the prices. read more

bad customer services I used to grab the shaved ice and ice cream in the store, but I m very disappointed today, like some other customer mentioned earlier in the review, the staff in the store will try to fool you. Although I do not wish to spend that much of time and money frequently. Once-in-a-while splurge is okay. The elderly lady who works the evening is sweet. I could see that she was pretty overwhelmed with the number of irate customers parading in and out. She was all by herself - which was one reason that all the orders were taking time. One star just for her hard work and ability to smile throughout the time :) Not sure about how clean the facility is - the premises look okay to me. We stopped here on the way to a friend's house in Irving after a dinner of Korean fried chicken, and popped into India Bazaar to pick up some dry goods since Austin doesn't have any quality--pun intended!--Indian supermarkets and those are about a dime a dozen in Irving (a ginormous bag of bay leaves for $1.50, pounds of red lentils for a couple bucks, wet tamarind, etc. bulk deal amazingness, etc.). But we digress--back to the ice cream. We were the only people there when we walked in, and the man helping us was really nice, although there were a couple of surly looking millennial girls hovering over him. He let us try a few of the more "exotic" flavors out of curiosity since we knew we would never order full servings of them. We finally settled on one cone with pistachio & Ferrero Rocher and another cone with butterscotch & honey roasted almond. We loved butterscotch the most because the flavor really came through, and you could taste the cardamom in the pistachio, so that was a nice change of pace. The honey almond was pretty bland. The thing about Kwality is supposed to be its creaminess, and it was creamy, but not mind-blowingly so. It was ice cream, it was good, and it cost $13. My family had Quality Ice Cream tonight for the first time in Mahopac, NY. The store has only been open a week, I know that it will be very successful. Let me just say that the ice cream was creamy, tasty and simply amazing, they had many flavors to choose from. I had the vanilla soft serve, my daughter had cookie dough and my son had vanilla. Love all the flavors here! They have everything you could possibly imagine. All Indian popular flavors (including fig and walnut) to reinventions of more Indian flavors (Mango-Pomegranate). In addition, they have more traditional American flavors (Cookies n' Cream) as well as reinventions (Ferrero Rocher). Only thing, I think the staff should be more overly friendly. You're in the service industry - no matter how late it is, you have to do everything you can to please the customer, especially when they just spent $40 in your store! I will note, they let me try just about every flavor I wanted to, without griping! My favorite flavors are the Apple Custard, Fig and Walnut, and Mango Pomegranate. No idea, why I stepped into this cheap and low quality ice cream shop. They are named Kwality but I think its Zero quality. The original falooda they serve is merely syrup and melted ice cream with no falooda flavor. Someone tell them how to make falooda. We also ordered Bombay gola -kala khatta which was ice cone dipped in some stinky syrup that smelled so bad, we couldn't eat at all. When complained about bad stink these guys did not even bother to look at it. I had to leave it eventually. Worst experience ever.
