Great little Gelato/Dubai chocolate ect dessert restaurant in Irving Texas. The service is excellent. She was very helpful and polite. The cashier explained what each desserts and ice-cream were. The restaurant was very clean. Alot of desserts. The Mango ice cream is a must have. It was really thick and fruity. Dubai Chocolate was really good, flavorable and crunchy.

Red Kinafa was really good - they said they recently changed the color but basically the "red" is coarser filo dough strips whereas the brown is finer. They give you extra pistachios and syrup on the side to customize to your taste! The amount of sweets to choose from is overwhelming!

The employees are kind The desserts are pretty great The place is very pretty and authentic-feeling. I recommend a visit if you're in the area. The Mhalabia pudding and pistachio tiramisu are a must by the way. EDIT (initial review was made about 10 mins after ordering): Sorry, had to bring the rating down. Service is super slow.. like 35+ mins for 2 Dubai strawberry cups and a coffee. We received a few items in our order immediately but had to wait almost 40 mins for our other items because orders weren't being processed in the time they were made, and instead with what was quicker to get done. A few customers left unhappy for the same reason. Either way, not a terrible experience, and possibly due to an understaffing issue, so I'd still recommend a visit if in the area.

Really great dessert spot. The ice cream was super thick and satisfying. Their pastry selection is extensive and has something for everyone. We came for the Dubai Chocolate Strawberry dessert and it lived up to the hype. Very high quality chocolate.

Delightful and unique sweet treats, but disorganized! Ambiance & Service: Plenty of seating, but confusing lines--waited in the wrong one for ice cream despite it being labeled for ice cream. Long evening wait times (1 hour), though midafternoon was only 15 minutes. Food: - Ice Cream: Sticky, doughy texture--not for me. - Dubai Chocolate Strawberries: Delicious! Sweet strawberries, smooth chocolate, pistachio cream, and wonderful crunch from the knafeh phyllo pastry. - Dubai Chocolate Bar: Great treat, but I preferred the strawberries. Still worth a try! TL;DR: Amazing desserts, but expect confusion and long waits.

I was a little disappointed in Bigdash and felt like it was an Instagram trap but feel like it has potential so I give it 4 stars until I can try more food items. The restaurant itself was cute, new, and had plenty of seating. However, there was one person serving two separate serving lines so people kind of kept cutting in front of me since I was in the ice cream line. I think this place is more of a viral Instagram trap since the ice cream didn't live up to expectations. It was indeed stretchy but I was expecting a very rich and creamy dessert but it was icy (I had the Arabic flavor) and it tasted more soapy even though I typically love floral flavors. Maybe this style of ice cream just isn't for me but all my family members agreed with me.

The kinafa is soooooo amazing! 10/10 recommend! I've had it before but this one was over the top!

Very friendly staff. I really like their Kinafa both brown and Red are great. They have ice-cream as well. Their Tres leches cake is also very good though a little on sweeter side.

I visited the Richardson location a few times so was excited to hear that there's a location in Irving. Visited around 10pm on a Thursday night and there were a few groups inside. Here's what we ordered: Small Ice Cup with Lemon Mint and Oreo. The Lemon mint wasn't as smooth as I remember at the Richardson location. It was still refreshing but it was dense. Oreo ice cream was stretchy, but not as stretchy as I remembered. A bit disappointing Triangle Baklava: overall, pretty decent. Wish we could've added honey to it. But would I get this again? Probably not Red Kinafa: toooooo sweet. Didn't even add a lot of the sugary syrup. It was crunchy and the cheese was great. Just felt like the sweetness was too much and overpowering. Like you need a drink to down it sweet. Not sure I would visit this location again as it was lacking compared to Richardson location.

This was my first time having this sticky ice cream and though I was not a fan of the texture, that is a personal opinion and does not color my rating of this place. I assume it is done well and with authenticity but cannot speak to that as I have never had it anywhere else. Flavors were good but I could not get past the chewiness of it all. But!!! The baklava was amazeballs!!! So was just about every other pastry I had, though I got so many I can't remember what all I got. But yes, get every version of baklava because they were all delicious! Oh, and you really can't top the service here. Talked me through it all and never rushed me.

My first time trying Middle Eastern desserts ever! My boyfriend and two of his close friends frequent this place for dessert. We got the Brown Kinafa, three scoops of ice cream (lemon mint, Arabic, and tiramisu), and white chocolate bar. I liked the Brown Kinafa without the sugary syrup it came with. The syrup is a bit too sweet to my preference. The lemon mint scoop of ice cream was surprisingly good. It is a refreshing taste. I don't think it goes well with the other two flavors we had, but we didn't mind that. We were bummed they didn't have the Dubai pistachio chocolate bar, but we got this white chocolate bar instead. There are lots of desserts at Bigdash. I am interested in coming back to try other items!

BigDash! Always packed, always serving with smiles! Love it, the pistachio drizzled san Sebastian cheesecake is phenomenal, good way to end a long day and take your family there for a evening sweet treat! Restaurant is always popping love hanging out there for a few minutes and enjoy our cheesecake! Must try folks!

I went for the Viral Dubai Chocolate Covered Strawberries but the pastries were so beautifully made, that I decided to try a few. The service was good and cashier very helpful with explaining what the pastries were. It was very clean and bright inside. The strawberries were so good, I can't wait to go back!

I don't recall ever getting the rice before, so I was really glad to try it. It was light and fluffy and seasoned just right. The chicken was so warm and had all the yummy earthy flavors that I loved, which went great with the bread and hummus! I love the fries, because although they are simple, they've always been hot and fresh out the fryer!!! Seasoned just right as well. This is a small little locally owned restaurant, I've never seen a ton of people inside at once, but I always see a ton of folks coming in for takeout orders. We ate pretty early around 5pm, and it was very empty, which was nice because it meant our food came fast. We tried the chicken shawarma bowl and the beef shawarma bowls. The food tasted delicious, but did seem a little less fresh, like maybe it had been sitting for a while, which would make sense because it wasn't exactly prime dinner hour yet, so maybe perhaps left from lunch? Either way, the portions were great, enough to take home leftovers. And the flavor of the meat was superb. They were so warm and kind to our family, especially our two year old. I appreciated the thoughtful touches the staff added to make our dining experience special. It definitely gave the cozy feeling of a mom and pop diner but mediterranean style! I loved it. We will definitely be coming back.

I came in for the soft opening after weeks of renovations, and while the name and menu are the same, everything else is not. This is not the same restaurant. If you knew the original owner, you would know he created something special. It felt like you were being welcomed into his home. He took pride in the food and in making sure every customer felt well cared for. Appetizers always came out first with some friendly conversation, and you could feel the care he put into every detail. That experience is gone. First, I waited 30+ minutes for a dish that normally takes 15, even on a busy night. When I left, a couple who had ordered before me were still waiting for their wraps! Second, the food has changed. The chicken shawarma and gyro recipes are different, and the gyro was actually cold. The sauces, which used to be the highlight, are not the same. The red sauce is gone, and the garlic sauce tastes different. The rice is different. The salad is now a small pile of romaine, onion, cucumber, black olives, and corn with no dressing. Overall, the new recipes feel like a massive downgrade from the original recipes. Lastly, I told the host I would be dining inside, but my food was served in plastic containers. Meanwhile, a nearby group that appeared to be staff or family was served plated food that looked noticeably fresher and better prepared. It honestly felt like their food was prioritized over paying customers, which may have explained the delays. The menu photos have not changed, but they no longer reflect what is actually being served. That feels misleading, especially for customers like me who were excited for the reopening. Very disappointing.

We were greeted and seated right away. Service throughout was warm and attentive, our server checked on us a few times to make sure everything was good. They started us with warm, crispy bread and a yogurt-based dip that was quite flavorful. I ordered the lamb shish kebab platter (well done), and we also tried the chicken shish kebab platter. Both came with buttery rice, a fresh salad drizzled with olive oil, and yogurt sauce. The chicken was tender and properly seasoned, but the lamb was the highlight. Lamb can easily turn dry or overly gamey if not handled right, but this was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor even when cooked well done, exactly how a good shish kebab should be. I skipped dessert this time, though they offer a few options, and I noticed what appeared to be a buffet setup, which I'm curious to try next. Overall, a solid, well executed Mediterranean meal. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.
