Very unprofessional.....overpriced......the guys that work there were rude to myself and a nice older lady that walked in. she said "I didn't know you guys closed at 5:30" and the employee responded with, "WELL. did you ASK!?" The guy actually working on the car was friendly and smiling. Everyone inside was rude and I'm actually still pretty upset that I don't even want to write all the details, lol.

I started hearing a hum as I was driving outside of Cedar City--I wasn't sure if it was tires, tranny, etc--so I saw the Tire Co sign, parked there, and started looking at my tires. One employee, evidently coming in from a lunch break saw me looking at my tires, and asked if he could help. His name was Corby. I told him about the hum, he looked at the tires, and we didn't see anything wrong. He called on Sheridan, who offered to do a test drive. We did, and he heard the hum, and guessed from his own experience that it was a bad bearing. He jacked the car, played with the wheels to see if there was anything loose, etc. Nothing apparently wrong, but he still thought it was a bearing, when other mechanics I was talking with on my phone said it was everything from tranny to torque converter, etc. I told Sheridan I was 1/2 way through my 1000 mile road trip and didn't have any money, and was nervous about the rest of the trip, especially up the mountain passes, where I couldn't call for help. Long story short, he gave me a lot of good advice, and that I should make it to my destination 500miles away, if I took his precautions. I DID make it to my destination 500 miles away where my personal mechanic could look at it. Sheridan had been right; it was a wheel bearing. Point is, these guys put at least an hour of their time--for no cost--to help me. They could have said, "no, you need to come up with the $300+ or else you'll be stranded...." Their courtesy, knowledge, empathy and honesty warrants this review. I cannot recommend The Tire Company more. Nico Holthaus
