Absolutely Lifesaver on the 4th of July!…read more I am on a long road trip with my family in our 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander when our dashboard suddenly lit up with a bunch of serious malfunction errors, and the car lost driving power. It was incredibly stressful, especially since it happened right before the holiday weekend when almost every other repair shop was completely closed. I pulled into this Steve's Shell Service Center, and Steve stepped up to help us. He was incredibly friendly, kind, and calm. He is extremely knowledgeable about modern vehicle electronics and took the time to listen to what happened, scan the vehicle's computer codes, and explain exactly what was causing the glitch. He cleared the error codes for us completely for free so we could get back on the road safely and finish our holiday trip. After a long test drive, the car is running perfectly normal again and all the dashboard lights are gone. Steve didn't just fix our car's electronic glitch; he saved our entire holiday weekend. If you ever need honest, expert, and genuinely caring mechanical help, go see Steve at this Shell station. I cannot thank him enough!

We recently traveled from California to Duck Creek Village near Cedar City, UT for a family…read morereunion. My car was running fine all the way to Cedar City but once I started going up the mountains to get to the campgrounds my engine light went on and my car was sluggish. We barely made it to our cabin that Friday afternoon. As soon as we arrived, I started looking for someplace to take my car to be looked at because I wasn't sure we'd make it back to California on the next Monday. All the automotive places were closed for the weekend but I happened to find Steve's Shell. How lucky was I to come across them. I was able to get an appointment the next afternoon. We cautiously drove down the mountain the next day and met John. John was sincerely one of the nicest guys we've ever met. He listened to our story, ran a diagnostic and talked to us about the issue. My car had a history of having problems going up hills but running perfectly fine otherwise. The code had reflected that the car put the engine in a "limp mode" stage to protect it. John cleared the code and my car was running fine; however, I was leery about driving it back up the mountain. John was kind enough to let me leave it parked at the station until my family reunion ended on Monday morning. He changed my air filter, topped off my oil and put an additive in my gas tank. The price for everything was so reasonable and his validation that we should make it home safely gave me great comfort. Well, John we did make it home safely and my car is still running fine. Thank you so much for all your help and the genuine care and support you gave us. I hope anyone that happens to pass through Cedar City and needs car help will find your station. Forever grateful, The Solis Family.

That's why today's experience was so deeply disappointing. I arrived with a scheduled appointment at 9:00 a.m. to have the rear shocks replaced on my vehicle. The service technician assured me the job would only take a few hours. By 2:00 p.m., with no update, I called the shop. I was told they were behind and hadn't even started on my car yet, but they promised they would begin work at 3:00 p.m. When I still hadn't heard anything by 5:00 p.m., I returned to the shop and found my vehicle sitting untouched in the exact same parking spot--eight full hours after I dropped it off. The technician then admitted they were running far behind and said they would start "right away," estimating the job at about 30 minutes. At that moment, I was tempted to just let them finish, but the complete lack of respect for my time and my appointment left me with no choice but to take my business elsewhere. My car sat idle in their lot all day while my place in line was repeatedly pushed back. This level of poor communication and disregard for a confirmed appointment is unacceptable. It has significantly damaged my trust in Les Schwab and unfortunately overshadows all the positive experiences I've had with them in the past. I expected much better.
