I took it to another mechanic, and they showed me that whomever worked on the vehicle broke some things under the hood! They wouldn't own up to what they did, gave me a bad catalytic converter, and i had to pay for another one. I unfortunately had to bring my car back because if the warranty, and the check engine light coming back on because of it, and when i got my car back, my car was shaking ahain and it was not shaking initially. These guys have no idea what they are doing, dont take accountability, fast talk to try to grt you to believe that they didnt mess up. Stay away!!!!!

The reason for two star review is that I was told I needed new brakes on the front and they would do it for just over 900 dollars. Pretty expensive for breaks but I told them i would do the brakes myself. When I went to put brakes on the car the pads were fine with about half life left. Fast forward to today. My husband ran over something large and hard at 70 mph. Hit was so hard it popped the needle off of the speedometer in the dash. Managed to get it into see Joshua. Wasn't good news but he gave me 2 options. First was the minimum that needed to be done. Second was an additional item that really should be done. All said and done, more than I wanted to spend but I still feel he was very fair in his pricing. Been driving the van for a few days now and am very happy with the results. Plus, I have the peace of mind knowing I won't be chewing up my tires every few thousand miles. Just as a side note. I did research Cortez Car Care and discovered something amazing. They have been members of the BBB for 23 yrs this year and have not had one single complaint lodged against them in all that time. Went into their office and was met by a very nice lady named Kim, she got a mechanic to check my a/c out with no wait at all. They were very honest told me what the problem was and how much it would cost in less than 30 minutes. They were ready to do the fix right then and even offered me a ride if I wanted to leave it. I told them I would bring it back the next morning and they said they would get right on it. I was so impressed with them I had them take care of some maintenance items that needed to be done also (power steering fluid flush/change, transmission fluid flush/change and filter, front and rear differential oil service) Very impressed at how fast they got everything done considering they had to pull my whole dash out to change evaporator coil for a/c.
