They came at the exact time scheduled, took a look at my truck, and gave a good estimation on time for completion. Afterwards. The work was amazing. Not a single spot missed, floors were cleaned up and shampooed, leather and plastic was treated to protect from the sun, and every inch of the interior was carefully wiped down and cleaned out. You can tell the owner loves what he does because it shows in his work. He wrote the estimate for it and I thought it was kinda high, but never argued it because he said he could get it in right away. Then he calls one day and says the fender was damaged to much and cracked on the back so he just went ahead authorized more work and I could pick it up the next day and the price will now be over $200 more. I tried to go to the shop after work that same day and see the fender, but the secretary said he left to run a personal errand. I asked another estimator there if he could show me the fender and he would not let me see it. He said "I'D RATHER NOT DEAL WITH IT" I then went the next day to pick up the car and again Kory was not there. I asked to see the fender again and they said they didn't know if it was even still there. (This was the first warning sign. Why wouldn't anyone let me see the damage?) The secretary said he had to run another personal errand and he would be back in maybe 45 minutes, I asked if she could call him or if I could so we could talk about the price change. She really didn't want to. but I told her I was there to pick up my car and I didn't want to wait for him. She called him and gave me the phone. He told me the repair cost had changed and I told him I never tried to dispute the cost he quoted even though I thought it was high and I didn't think it was common practice to just change the cost without talking to the customer first and I had a check for the exact amount he quoted. He said he tried to call, but couldn't reach me and I said I work in a manufacturing building and it's had to get reception. I asked why didn't he text me or wait to talk to me and he said "WELL, DID YOU TELL ME TO TEXT YOU?" I said well, I didn't think you would just authorize work that would change the price without talking to your customer. There is where I could tell in his voice he was mad because his tone flipped alot like Night & Day and he said "YOU KNOW WHAT? GIVE YOUR CHECK TO THEM, TAKE YOUR CAR AND NEVER USE MY BUSINESS AGAIN" in a very stern voice. I just said ok and gave the phone back to the secretary. All this and another customer was in there just listening to me on the phone. I apologized to the secretary for putting her in the middle of this and that I just thought they would call if there was a change in price before authorizing work and she said "WE NORMALY DO" and the other customer heard that as well. So needless to say, I WILL NEVER USE McAbee Body Shop EVER AGAIN!

When she came and asked me about it, I said, let me take it to Charlie at Scheidegger Collision Services. This car is about 5 years old but in great condition. Charlie looked at it and said, she ought to replace both hinges and paint them. His quote was $450.00. Now you might think that is just a fluke price but i had a trim on my Buick get hit by a swinging door. In topeka they want 200 for the trim piece plus the labor. Scheidegger ordered the new piece and when it came in it was replaced in 10 minutes. I have had other things fixed in the past and taken other peoples cars there and we are always pleasantly surprised. You will be also.

The 1st place I was not impressed with and they wouldn't even give me an estimate for my windshield. They gave me another number to call because they do not fix cracks-I explained I'm not sure if I need a new windshield but she insisted I call the number she gave me. When I walked in to Jayhawk I was greeted right away and told the guy I needed an estimate for my windshield, which he did w/out any hesitation. He told me he could get me in the next day but I had to be sure I could have it done financially first. I did stop at 1 more places which was a lot more. I ended up going with Jayhawk, they had the best price and best friendly service, I highly recommend them, I dropped my car off in the morning and had it back by 3:30. I'm very satisfied with their service.

I pulled up about 3:15pm and I'm pretty sure I was done before 3:30. I don't know how long it takes but I know I'm usually waiting an hour or more at the dealership. I like Valvoline because no appointment needed, I'm able to stay in my vehicle and they are fast and friendly! Oh and my dog was able to go on a little adventure.
