All of the regular meats, such as back straps, are phenomenal as well, but I'm just so impressed with the processed meat. I typically take my deer to Von Hanson's. They're outstanding, but almost double the price of this place and with fewer varieties to choose from. The turnaround time for my dear for the 25/26 season was longer than anticipated, but when calling they were so nice and explained the reason for the delay. I'm hoping for a good season next year to try everything Deer's Food Locker has to offer.

I recently made my first visit to pick-up 2 lambs that they processed for me. This is a great place with wonderful people. The processing was simple, inexpensive, and hassle free. I also ended up walking out the door with a chicken, many pounds of beef, over 20 pounds of beef tallow, and several pounds of wildlife sausages, "bacon", and jerky (venison, bison, elk). Be forewarned that these folks hardly ever answer the telephone, they're always busy working in back. But if you leave a message, they'll call you back. Deer's does about 75% of their business with the fall wildlife harvest. But they'll also process livestock. In addition, they have their own cattle so you can also buy whatever they have in stock...which is a LOT of stuff! This company is friendly and very community oriented. They have an event every year where they give away 2000 or 3000 pounds of processed wildlife protein from the fall harvest. It's very popular. Watch their Facebook page and arrive early to get a spot in line.
