There never open when they say place could really use some cleaning and fresh paint goes a long way

I was expecting to get blown away by the food scene here in the Detroit area and I have been let down. This is just another example of that. Ingredients were fresh but that was the highlight of the night. Egg roll was fresh too but lacking flavor. Beef and broccoli I had lacked flavor as well, bland is an under statement. I really wanted to enjoy this place and was let down. I still haven't lost hope in finding good places here in Detroit, we'll see. read more

Went there as it was recommended as having the best Chinese food. It is cash only no receipt, and carry out only. There is no record or proof that you bought anything from them if you got food poisoning. I doubt if they declare much for income tax. I wouldn't doubt that they live in the back of the building. I asked if they make Shrimp Subgum and she said yes so i ordered the dinner size combination plate. My wife ordered some chicken combination plate. The egg rolls tasted as if they were made in rancid oil. I dint get subgum. They gave me the chop suey. The shrimp fried rice was brown looking rice with 2 shrimp thrown on top, didn't taste like fried rice. My wife said her chicken was very bland and the soy sauce didn't help. My food was very salty. The portions are large as most Chinese do the same but a large portion isn't worth it if you don't like it it may have been a off day for them but there are too many other Chinese restaurants to go back and waste our money on bad food. read more

I grew up around the block from this restaurant; I've been coming here my whole life. I've since moved away out of state. I still dream of their sweet and sour chicken. I was not impressed. I called in my order for a sesame chicken dinner. The lady asked my name and said it would be ready in 10 minutes. I thought that was awfully quick, are they just reheating it ? She never asked me what kind of rice I wanted, white or brown, I guess you don't get a choice. So I walk in this little hole in the wall, it's not a restaurant, it's an empty lobby with a bullet proof window at the counter. The tile floor is coming loose and full of cracks. The lady behind the glass hands me my meal in a Styrofoam box., the meal was only $8.45. I got brown rice with some shrimp. The rice didn't seem fresh, it looked and tasted more like leftover rice.
