I wasn't sure how fast they'd sell out so I went really early just after opening to ensure I got a good selection. They had lots to choose from and a good drink selection as well. We got a half dozen and I also go a milk. It came out to just $9 and come change! Very reasonably priced and the doughnuts themself were pretty good. Fresh and tasty, but nothing that made me think they're the best doughnuts ever. Classic and exactly what you'd expect. I'll be back to try the kolaches. read more

This spot has great coffee and donuts. I have also tried their kolaches and today I had the ham, egg and cheese croissant. Normally I head over to the big McD but I didn't feel like going across IH35. It was a great breakfast sandwich; I am so glad I made the change. They have various breakfast sandwiches, so give them a try. There was a line, but they had enough staff, that I was in and out in 10 minutes. read more

Let me start off by saying, I am someone who enjoys an exquisite breakfast delicacy, such as the donut. I've tasted I've tried. I've licked. I've sucked many warm, cold hot chili, wet, soggy hard donuts in my life. As an establishment that bears the name of our wonderful city called kyle, I expected kyle donut to have immense quality and attention to detail. Oh how I was wrong. Kyle donuts was not only cold, but it was stale. It had been sitting in their non-heated donut cabinet for what seems like and tasted like years. I firmly do not recommend this establishment. The donuts are below subpar. If I were the city of kyle, I would vanish them from bearing their name because of the lack of quality for donut and the potential disturbance and negative impact on the name kyle. We pass this location going home everyday and thought it was time to give it a try! There was lots of parking and the staff was very friendly. The cinnamon roll was DELICIOUS! I got one of the last ones and could see why it sells out fast! This place is a must! The pig kolache were delicious and flavorful as well. The glazed donut tasted like a regular donut. Last minute errands in Christmas Eve and I needed breakfast for the family. Stopped by Kyle donuts because they were on the list. I will define my be back! First of all, they have my childhood favorite, cake donut with chocolate icing and peanuts! They are so good! Then I got a variety that my family really enjoyed. Finally, we tried kolaches for the first time. We had the sausage and cheese and the ham and cheese. They were so good, sweet and savory. So much better than Shipleys that popped up near them. The croissant sandwiches are delightful. The croissants are flakey and melt in your mouth. The blueberry cake donuts have a crisp outer edge from the fryer and the inside texture is awesome, not "gummy" chewy like Shipleys. In all honesty we had not gone to Kyle Donuts in a long time. During the hard supply years, you could tell they were struggling by cutting back on some products ( ex: not the same size). Because of the hype of a new Shipleys , and the convenience of Shipleys drive thru, we ended up frequented them instead. Then one day I told my husband I really wasn't wanted Shipleys, they just aren't that great. So he went to Kyle donuts, and brought home kolaches, croissant sandwiches, and donuts that made my taste buds incredibly happy!! Absolutely delicious, and better than I recall them being before. I come to this shop because my house is a stone's throw away. I was a bit skeptical of their product because I've tried Hays City across the highway but didn't like that their dough was so dense; I love a pillowy, airy donut with just the right amount of a thin sugary glaze. I've visited several times by now because I've truly enjoyed the fresh products they offer on a daily basis. I particularly LOVE their bun kolache with sausage, egg + cheese as opposed to their traditional "roll". The bread is simply soft and heavenly. You can't go wrong with their traditional glazed, basic donut, they are absolutely delicious. Customer service has always been great. I always have my little dude in tow, and who ever ends up helping us at the counter almost always offer him a couple donut holes to keep him calm - he's 2. Stopped by on a Saturday morning to grab some kolaches and sweets for my friends and I to enjoy while getting ready for the day. There was no one inside but you could tell most of the products had bene sold already which is a good sign in my opinion. We were lucky enough to grab a few kolaches and they were great! The breading was soft and slightly sweet which was delicious with the sausage. It was easy to get in and out quickly and there was plenty of parking! I receive My Order....AND I get 'sticky-fingers' & i'm not utilizing Puns. The person who gave me my small, 2 blueberry donuts, bag was handling the donuts or something - WITHOUT gloves...and evidently tongs.... I'll include a pic soon, but My Fingers & the bag were STAINED in this sticky substance. Not a care in the world - when handing me the bag. Thank you, sir, may I have another! Seriously, this place offers both amazingly tasty treats and very reasonable prices. I've been back 3 times in the last week and once even brought a coworker! I can personally vouch for the tastiness of their regular size kolaches and a brilliant cream cheese danish. Oh, and don't forget what's in the cooler! I picked up some chilly chocolate milk to go with this shiny brunch and it definitely hit the spot! Their customer service was shiny and always involved smiles with the staff always being super polite. So very glad I found this place and it's not far off the beaten path of 35. I will never get donuts anywhere else. They are such helpful, kind people and their donuts, muffins, kolaches, and pan sausages are great. My favorite is the cream cheese kolache which at first I thought was..weird.. as I don't really like cream cheese but oh my goodness it. is. delicious! Don't judge a pastry by its cover lol. I get it all the time. The pan sausages are also my favorite. Usually when you get something similar at say, Dunkin, the sausage is super salty. The ones at Kyle Donuts are perfect and flavorful! read more

I mainly get a dozen donut holes and a coffee when l go there. The female staff aren't really friendly to me but seems they are to others. The donut holes can be a hit and miss with some of the donut holes may have little to no glaze at all. Being this is the only donut shop at the moment by my apt l continue to go there. Can't wait for Shipley's to open soon. read more

I understand and love that it's a family business and all, but if you have sick children with you, put them in your break room or office. Don't let them run around coughing up phlegm onto all the baked goods while customers are paying at the register. I'll be really upset if I get sick from having their products and at this point I don't trust them enough to go back after seeing the kids cough all over everything within reach of their face without covering their mouths. read more

This place is my favorite donut place. It might also be my favorite of all time. I really enjoy the Jumbo Jalapeno and Cheese Kolaches. The bread is slightly sweet and taste so good warmed up. The donuts are also really nice. Not overly oily or anything. I like to get the lemon filled, chocolate with peanuts and of course the regular glazed. The Ham and Swiss Jalapeno Crescents are also really great. The people that work there are also nice and kind. Keep in mind they are also really busy and go at the speed of light to serve the line that's out the door on Fridays. read more

I had my first visit to Super Donuts today. I have to say when I first walked in there was so many great choices. From the donuts to the kolaches I have to say the service was not the best at first. The lady at the front counter made me feel rushed. It was 5:30 a.m on a Saturday morning and me and my boyfriend were the only two customers. If you do visit this location don't expect the friendly service. She changed her mood when we checked out but I feel the service could have been more welcoming. Took my kids thru the drive thru on the side of the shop to grab some breakfast one morning. I was horrified at what I saw. The side door into the kitchen was open and my oldest son and I counted 8 cats walking in and out of the kitchen (from the alley) to their hearts desire. The door opened up to the trash and the smell was nauseating. Needless to say we drove straight on thru without donuts and havent been back since. Your average donut shop. I was looking for the cake donuts but didn't see any. Decided to get a giant cinnamon roll and a croissant wrapped sausage. Great every day neighborhood doughnut shop. It doesn't have a hook or anything, but my wife and I go here almost every weekend for our doughnut fix and haven't been disappointed. Everything we've ordered has been nice and fresh. While there are an number of locals in and out the door, we've never had to wait long for our turn. Our favorites are the sausage croissants and the blueberry cake donuts. read more

Luckily for us, his recommendation was spot on as La Ola is a great little ice cream shop with a large variety of different cures to whatever your sweet tooth desires. Parking is pretty accessible as it's in a small strip of stores and restaurants and there's ample outdoor seating as well to take in a nice summer night. The interior of the store is also nice and clean, making you feel like you're in a well run place from the moment you step in. We ordered a banana pudding scoop in a cone and a scoop of the Cookie Monster in a cup. The line here moves pretty quickly which is good so we didn't have to wait long from the moment we entered to the moment we began eating outside. The ice cream was delicious. The banana pudding tastes just as advertised with chunks of Nilla wafer throughout the bites, incredibly spot on. The Cookie Monster also tasted great, essentially a cookies and cream scoop dyed blue, but why not have a bit of fun with it? The whole experience was great and if ice cream isn't your thing they have numerous other options like shakes and ice pops to get you by. The only ding we can think of is that the trash outside was overrunning and looked like it hadn't been changed in hours. Nevertheless, we're very glad we stopped by here to get a sweet treat and would highly recommend it to anyone in the far South Austin/Kyle area looking to cool off on a summer night.

This grossed my fiance out and he didn't eat anymore after my shrimp discovery. I still ate them and they were okay and i liked the flavor but under the fried batter the chicken skin was gooey. The only thing saving this review was the service as our waitress was very kind and attentive and the thai tea which was a decent size and not too sweet like most other places. No corporate franchise. Just a local couple who own it. I'd rather support local business. You order at the window and there are plenty of options for flavors. They even had a special flavor that they seem to rotate which is cool. We shared a pizza and they were able to make it half of what he wanted and half of what I wanted. The pizza was actually very tasty and it didn't leave me feeling yucky like some of those other major pizza places do with all that grease. I enjoyed looking at the walls that had newspaper clippings and stories of the owners humble beginnings and history with the pizza shop. Would definitely recommend and be back for sure!
