I don't know how I forgot about this place but I remembered today! So I returned with hubby and kids. Hubby and son got the Nashville hot biscuit with a side of honey. They loved it! My daughter had the sausage egg and cheese croissant and I had the bacon and egg croissant. Hubby got an old fashioned donut and a cinnamon roll to eat with his Carmel latte. He said that was his appetizer and desert. Everything was so good! You need to try it. The staff are nice and helpful and there are seats inside and out side of you want to enjoy it there.

This is a Mom and Pop donut store. I had the old fashioned AND an apple fritter. Both were delicious. The fritter was made the way fritters are supposed to be made, unlike an unnamed competitor's store on Hopkins. I will be returning after a pleasant first visit.

This is my girlfriend and I's go to spot for breakfast anytime we are on the square. We always get the honey butter chicken biscuit with the strawberry lemonade matcha. I also love the fresh donuts they always have, they have such a wide variety to choose from. The ambiance is decent as well. However, some of the couches could use an upgrade. Furthermore, I found the service to be just okay. On one occasion, I was waiting longer than usual for my order and when I asked about the time, they said "oh wait what did you get?" And then already had my order ready but didn't call my name for some reason which was irritating. After that, another customer went up and asked a question to which they said "oh we're pretty busy, so your order is gonna take a while." I understand that places can get busy, but at least push to let the customer know that you are working on it and not shrug them off.

These donuts are SO GOOD! Apple fritters, old fashioned, were my choice. The location is in the heart of downtown San Marcos, and very easy to find. They have the freshest of donuts when they open.

This is a cute little spot across the street from a brunch place we were waiting for a table for. Ambience is cute and contemporary and the donuts all look delectable and the staff is kind. We ordered the fruity pebbles doughnut, the brown sugar, cinnamon latte, and the glazed cronut. Everything exceeded our expectations and they're probably one of the freshest donuts we've ever had. Will definitely be back next time we're in San Marcos.

Food - Their donuts are good, more cake like than glaze-y (not a word but you get it). The bowls were pretty big and everyone in my friend group seemed happy about them. The caramel latte was delicious and wasn't too sweet, which I liked. Service - Even though there was a line, they were making it move fast and they got every order right as well as efficiently. They were also kind. The ambiance was hip, chill, and great!

This little gem made the best coffee. I had Vietnamese iced coffee, so creamy and yummy. Iced tea, bagel, and donuts were perfect to taste. Definitely recommended.

Fruity pebbles donut-- not sweet and the dough was the most amazing light and airy not greasy donut I have ever eaten. Not a bit dry!!

I found Babe's to be more of a coffee house than doughnut shop- not a wide variety or display.

Wow, the donuts here are heavenly so light and fluffy. I had the bacon maple and it was delicious. Coffee was good, but not spectacular.

The new onions and peppers as well as eggs tasted fresher than most breakfast places. Still love their middle-ground salsa. Avocado toast benedict is Mr R's new favorite, (beating out their carnitas in his opinion and even after eating most of a tub of Fuego's good guacamole this weekend). I think it's absolutely wonderful, the only drawback being one of the soft eggs had leaked beautiful golden yolk but the base of toast and fried potatoes did a good job soaking it up. Enjoyable balance of rich and fresh, beautiful colors, filling without being sleep-inducing. It's more expensive than drive-through sausage biscuits or a taco stand and there's a wait if you don't call in your order ahead, but there is some tasty stuff here made with decent ingredients and presented well. Once again, it would have been worth the price without the coupon and I understand why this parking lot was busy after church hours. We'll definitely be back.

To set the stage, we had been running errands on a hot and humid Texas day (90 degrees in May). We were hungry. We both got teas to drink. The food arrived reasonably quick. No complaints. The salad was fresh. The ranch dressing was little more runny than I prefer but the taste was fine. Once again, no complaints. The staff were nice and attentive. There were 3 other tables besides ours. The Rueben worked. There was a good portion of meat. Overall this was a nice experience. I recommend it!

We called early in the morning and made reservations for 11:00am and we were seated right away. The servers are friendly and very patient. It's breakfast or lunch your choice. They have a nice menu of beverages and today's choice was cinnamon swirl latte. For breakfast I ordered Harvest (V, GF) breakfast with a blueberry pancake and fruit on the side. This omelet was filled with avocado and was really good. I have been to other locations and they are consistent. Overall it was enjoyable.

Definitely not the best first impression. HOWEVER... once they realized the mistake, we were seated immediately, so I'll give credit where it's due. Now for the good stuff--the food and the vibes saved this whole experience. The restaurant itself was super cute and honestly a whole aesthetic. It gave this modern 21st-century feel mixed with subtle 70s vibes--very stylish, warm, and just a really fun atmosphere to be in. And the FOOD? Worth it. The Migas plate was absolutely bomb--hands down my favorite dish. My husband's steak and eggs came in strong right behind it, and the French toast was also really good. The pancakes were a little overhyped in my opinion, not bad, just didn't live up to the hype. Even the appetizer and my martini were on point. Which, by the way I ordered my Migas plate with green chili sour cream sauce on the side because other reviews did not look good of the Migas with it mixed in/smothered on top, but after trying it, I ended up LOVING it. Was so good !!! Overall, everything from the vibe to the food delivered...just don't fully trust the wait time you're given 4.5/5 because the kitchen and aesthetic carried, not the front-of-house timing.
