It never happened to me in last many decades. I refused to do so because as per my knowledge and law a patient can pay his/her bill or dues through cash, check or credit/debit card. It is an unlawful practice and made up policy of MDHN for its own financial business malpractice in my opinion. Besides, As best of my knowledge I have no dues but in case If I had one which I was not aware of it, I must have been provided the bill at the desk on the day of appointment or I should have been told about it at the time when I made appointment or they should have sent me a notice ahead of time but they failed to do so and my rights to see the doctor was violated. The counter girl was very rude and uncaring. Not only she wasted my time and played with my serious medical conditions (I am 80 years old, I have brain tumor, spinal, nervous system and serious stomach problems and I have gone many procedures) but also my right were violated. I am considering to discuss this matter with an attorney or expert to file a law suit against them.

I've watched this practice grow over many years. They have probably doubled in size, added doctors and nurses, expanded their building. Recently they opened their own endoscopy center attached to their building - no more going to a hospital to wait in line and pay exorbitant fees. You make an appointment, drive up to the door, and they whisk you away. If there ever was an emergency are fully prepared so expensive hospitals be damned. I'm not sure how many doctors are part of their practice - perhaps 20? I see one of them regularly and have seen a few others throughout the years. All are equally competent and knowledgeable. Their practice is friendly and warm and really show how much they believe in both quality of care, and the happiness of their patients. If you ever do need so see a GI doctor, this is the place in the Northwest suburbs to go.

They would not contact her for me. Insisted I see someone else she booked for months. I've worked medical field over 30 years. The provider should always have slots for sick or emergency visits. The billing is a nightmare. My son went there and they billed out of network and trying to threaten him go to collections due to thier inability to correct there mistakes. Left messages for manager to call me. Never did. Ill call one more time before I report them for billing fraud. I'm about ready look for another practice. Too many issues.

Since Endeavor bought Northwest Community Hospital some things have changed. Since the purchase,…read moreI've used their lab and their emergency room. There have really been no changes to their lab. You can walk in with lab orders and they will take you in the order of check-in time. Their phlebotomists are good, and results come in quickly. As for the ER, they seem to have a lower staffing level. I think part of this is I heard they are no longer a trauma center. If that is the case, I understand their reduction in staff. As with most ERs, wait times can be outrageous. I brought someone in who was in terrible pain - 10 out of 10 on their scale. How much pain you are in doesn't seem to matter in their triage. We waited a very long time before we were finally taken back. Once in an ER room, the service was outstanding. The quality of the nurses and the ER doctor were top notch. When we left, the medical issue was resolved, and although it is cliche, we had service with a smile. Aside from the wait time in the ER, Endeavor seems to have kept the quality of care up to par.

I foolishly made another appointment, although with Kane this time. She told me that my problem would never go away, which is a ridiculous statement. I read about several diets, procedures, and remedies. She gave me another prescription. This time, I called and called and the prescription never made it to the pharmacy. The only thing that I received was a big fat bill for nothing! There is no reason that a problem like mine could not be treated in a satisfactory manor. I would caution anyone to stay far away from here unless you want a meaningless prescription and a high bill.

My first appointment he made me smile when all I wanted to do was cry because I had been dealing with my UC for so long. Right away he came up with a plan of action and since then I have optimistic about my condition Understanding how a person goes about their day to day is important when treating them. He is always positive which helps when your in pain or just have a horrible day. He is knowledgeable and always makes sure I get in as soon as there may be a problem. He truly goes above and beyond and for that I am grateful. Nicole, my Infusion nurse has also been my rock through this whole process. She communicates with pure kindness.
