    Salmon sashimi

I've driven pass this restaurant numerous times and I always said that I will come eat here. Finally craving sushi while in the area. We went during dinner time. It costs $30 per person, all you can eat. We ordered different types of sushi rolls, sashimi, eel fried rice, edamame, and kani salad. Restaurant is big, with a huge sushi station near the kitchen, and bar across. We had out own designated server who checked on us quite often. I'm not a big sashimi lover but was surprised on how small/thin the slices were. We had to keep ordering more.

So sorry I don't remember what exact sushi rolls and sashimi I had here but it was all delicious! So fresh and delicious. No fishy smell or taste. I can't wait to go back and get some more. I ordered to go and everything was packed well, they remembered my spicy Mayo and extra soy sauce as well as utensils. The order was also done quickly. I can't wait to go back and try some more.

Unlimited sushi? Sign me up! There were plenty of options to order and the food was great for the price. I would recommend the Kyoto Roll, it came out pink and was very tasty! The server checked in on us very often to see if we wanted more! There was an entire parking lot to park so parking was not a struggle at all. It was a very casual place to get dinner and try new rolls. I would definitely go back!

Something called pizza sushi. Really a big ball of rice.

First, I've recently moved here from Charlotte, NC. And I was spoiled by a place called Mr Tokyo which was also a AYCE sushi and at a slightly lower cost. And much better. First disappointment was they never responded to a message I sent 3-4 days ago. Service started very poorly as I sat and just waited for someone to wait on me. Service did improve greatly as they got busier. I was hoping for the dinner menu being a Sunday but not before 3 or 4. They do offer a nice selection. But to just be honest nothing was very special. Everything was just OK. Kyoto was much better then another AYCE sushi place I tried earlier. But being such a distance from where I live it's just not worth the drive so unless I'm near the area for some reason returning just isn't in the cards. I really had my hopes up. It's is very nice place with plenty of tables.

Same service as Tokyo but a little better quality sushi. Not my go-to but still food. I would say it is usually busy so service is slower.

Kyoto is literally our spot for sushi! All You Can Eat! We go to the Coon Rapids location. Great selection to choose from & affordable. They never disappoint, they have great staff, wonderfully talented sushi chefs. All the rolls come out uniformed & in a timely manner & tastes very fresh! We always take our friends out here for sushi and sake. This place makes Miso happy (; Now it's your turn to go try!

Very good sushi!! I. Ame here around 1:30pm so post lunch rush. There was immediate seating. The environment was quite enough that you can have a casual conversation without yelling to each other. This is all you can eat, however you will be charged extra for food waste. I recommend the Spicy Tuna Rolls, Sexy Girl Roll, Boston Roll and the Dynamite Rolls.. I tried the Red Bean ice cream as I've never had it before. It was delicious reminded me of a cherry nut ice cream. I will definitely come back to this place.

The salmon cut are so thin, the hand roll barely has salmon in it, it is unlimited, I rather eat fewer pieces but thicker salmon cut

I'm bumping these guys up a star - 4 stars…read more I can't believe it's been 9 years since I've eaten here! I went back and I have a new appreciation for Osaka. We ordered soup and a bunch of sushi rolls. It was really good. And the service was great. The prices weren't bad either. The sushi seating area with booths are up front and it's a pretty small spot. (Plus they have a sushi bar.) Most of the restaurant is dedicated to hibachi, and that seems to be where all the action is. As we ate on the sushi side, we could hear all kinds of laughing, singing, and food frying on the hot tables...birthdays & parties. It sounds like WAY more fun on the hibachi side! This isn't a chef run, fancy place. It's a chain. But for what they do, I feel they do a good job. Thanks, Osaka! -Maxx

The gal who took my ordrr was very kind and even ran back to the kitchen to find out how many pieces typically come in an order of vegetable tempura (it's generally 7 pieces, for the record). Ordered the Korean Bulgogi, the steak fried noodles, a zig zag roll, and vegetable tempura. Tempura was a decent variety of vegetables with a beautiful crunchy battered exterior, and the sauce really helped to wake up flavors. The bulgogi was OK, the negatives here were the sauce was extremely runny so you really couldn't make a lettuce wrap without a giant mess, and the beef was tough. The steak noodles were my favorite, but again, steak was overcooked and slightly tough. The biggest disappointment was the zigzag roll, it was flavorless and greasy. Keep in mind, there are other Osaka locations, and the menus all differ quite a bit. I don't know that I will return to this location, but I might try another location in the future to see if the experience is any better.

They have an extensive menu so everyone doesn't have to eat raw fish if it's not your thing. However, we love it. The sashimi pieces are generous and fresh. Service is great. My only issue is that the restaurant is small. Maybe 4 booths and about 6-8 tables. Last night we tried their "Happy Hour". Great food and drink prices and lots of items on the menu. I ordered the mango lemonade and loved that they offer several lemonade flavored options instead of just one. It wasn't overly sweet, which I appreciated, but I was hoping for more of that fresh mango taste. The soft shell crab was good, crispy and wasn't all greasy. I also ordered the sushi and sashimi combo. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the portion was very big I think it could easily feed two people since I had a lot of leftovers. The service was standard, nothing particularly impressive, but our waitress was welcoming and we never felt rushed. She refilled our lemonades quickly and I also appreciated the free parking in the strip mall, which made the visit even easier. Overall, I enjoyed my first experience here and would definitely come back to try more of the menu and maybe even a cocktail.

It's not appropriate to bring extended family here anymore when we have to tell them to get their own utensils and pho veggies from their service area. King's Restaurant (Korean) in Fridley, MN is delicious! We ordered Naeng-Myeon buckwheat noodle…read moresoup, which is served cold and only available in the summer. The buckwheat noodles are very chewy and served with pickled white radish slices and julienned cucumbers, half of a hard boiled egg, and 2 thin slices of beef brisket. Note: the Korean buckwheat noodles in this soup are slight translucent and chewy, and not the same type as the Japanese buckwheat noodles, which are not as chewy. The noodle soup is accompanied by 2 bottles sauces: hot/spicy yellow mustard and vinegar to add per your desired spice and sour level. The soup was light, slightly seasoned with a hint of sour and savoriness. We also ordered the jap chae glass noodle stir-fry which was delicious, but it was lacking in beef and a bit too oily. It had a few slices of red bell pepper, yellow onions, and green onion /scallions. The glass noodles are made from sweet potatoes and are chewy in texture, but not as chewy as the buckwheat noodles. The galbitang short beef rib soup (#26) is a light soup served hot (not spicy) with a few pieces of beef short ribs, glass noodles, white radish, and egg drop. King's Restaurant has reduced their portion of glass noodles in recent years and it's lacking substance to fill the tummy, especially with an increased price of $21.95. They do give a small bowl of white rice and 4-5 types of banchan (side dishes, like Kimchi, blanched bean sprouts, fish cake, kimchi cucumbers, blanched broccoli). Service is on the most part friendly and semi-attentive, depending on the server and if they're busy. King's is recently (2026) charging for their buckwheat Korean tea, which was previous complimentary. Ambiance is casual with booths and tables. They can host larger parties, up to 8 or so people, but it's best to call ahead to check. Free parking is plentiful, but it can get filled on the side lot nearest to the restaurant when it's busy. There's another larger parking lot adjacent to the restaurant that is never completely filled so parking should not be an issue. Would I go again-maybe. Their increased prices and smaller portions (jap chae with almost no beef and noodle dishes with a small portion of glass noodles), it's starting to give me pause, especially when I have other choices of Korean restaurants in the Twin Cities. King's is by far the most expensive Korean restaurant in the Twin Cities and their portion sizes are shrinking to where the value is lacking, especially if you're really hungry.
