We were in the area so decided to stop by King's restaurant. The service was great. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They stopped by our table frequently to make sure we had what we needed and that the food was good. I enjoyed the food, packed with flavors and came out sizzling and hot.

King's Restaurant was delicious for an authentic Korean dinner tonight. The deep fried chicken with spicy garlic sauce was so yummy and perfectly cooked. The service was friendly and very quick. I ordered to-go and waited for only about 15 mins. Inside was clean and tables were ready to be seated.

Yum yum yum!! Haven't been here for quite some time and I'm so glad to be back! Super clean, very friendly staff and amazing food. I ordered the kimchi pancake to start. It is fried lightly and is a thin layer of amazing fresh kimchi. It comes with a soy sauce based dipping sauce. It is a large plate so plenty for leftovers. So delish!! I also ordered the stir fried glass noodles with pork and vegetables. That dish comes with several sides to top it yourself. Fresh and tasty! Stop by and enjoy this delish Korean food! Def recommend!

Definitely a gem! The seafood pancakes were crispy, which i liked. The bulgogi and haemul soon-dubu were delicious and hit the spot, although there wasn't as much seafood as other spots, I didn't mind. The servers were also super nice! You get two free rounds of bonchon and there's a charge for the third but my husband and I only needed two rounds. We came in at 7 on a Friday and it was quiet originally, but definitely started to get busier later on. It's clean, nicely spaced out and definitely a spot I'd come back to. I wish they still did their ayce!

Galbi - 3-Bone beef grilled short ribs marinated in soy sauce (10/10) flavor was just phenominal.

I come to Kings for the beef short ribs, and it sure didnt disappoint yet again. I figured I would try a few other things, Bibimbap in a hot stone bowl didnt really have much flavor and just wasnt worth it but everything else was great. Service was quick and helpful. Restaurant is in a strip mall in fridley so its convenient, and its a simple restaurant with a chill ambiance.

Service was decent esp for a Korean restaurant. First time there, food was tasty. My niece's first Korean food experience. It was enjoyable.

The food was delicious! The service was also very good. The entire restaurant (including the ladies room) was very clean. I will definitely return!

Was actually shopping next door, but was very hungry and I decided to stop by here. I had pretty low expectations of this place because I've tried other Korean restaurants that wasn't good. To my surprise this restaurant was actually to my liking. I came around lunch hour and it was super dead empty. My husband and I had gotten steamed shrimp and pork dumplings, gal-Bi and bulgogi. Ngl, but the sweetness of the bulgogi was on point. I loved for the fact that I can taste both of the beef and slightly of the sweetness, coming through when I chew that beef. The sweetness of the bulgogi wasn't overpowering or less seasoning, it was just perfect to my liking. Another thing I also love is the seasoning on the side dishes. I've had some side dishes either uncooked or overcooked and thats a no no for me. But this place did what I liked. The seasoning was just about right almost too good to be true. Not too sour or bitter but just enough where I can taste that hint of flavor. Cleaningness was pretty clean. No mess whatsoever. Prices were expensive, but knowing how expensive grocery items are, I wasn't surprised by that. Service was super fast knowing we're the only customers there. Definitely will come back to this fine dining restaurant.

I've been recommending this restaurant to anyone who will listen. This is the best Korean food in the Twin Cities - every dish is so delicious and flavorful and well made. My favorite entrees are the fried chicken, galbi, and the beef and octopus soups. If you dine in the multi-person soups are served on a portable burner so you can have piping hot soup. The price may look steep but there is enough soup for 3-4 people comfortably. So delicious and addicting. The seafood pancake and kimbap here are also absolutely delectable. Plus they come with a generous helping and selection of side dishes. Kind of out of the way of the cities but 100% worth the drive. It's kind of part of a strip mall area with a parking lot in front of it. Since I've found out about it I've gone multiple times and spend maybe a concerning amount of time thinking about the food. Definitely my current go-to place for Korean food

Probably one of the best japchaes in the state and yes,,they took out the onions. Sometimes the onions overbare the taste of everything else. Tip: see above. Dislike: Not gonna lie, I actually love ice water. They don't give you ice here anymore. Taste: 5/5

Ask the Community - King's Restaurant

When do they have the buffet?

Everyday! 11:00-1:30 sometimes later if it's busy

Somehow staff doesn't know what's in their buffet, & I've seen conflicting accounts here so I thought I'd see if someone knew for a fact. Does the buffet include tuna & salmon sushi or is it just shrimp and various rolls? Other food looks nice too.

It's changed everyday. I have seen several times tuna and salmon. However I can say from experience that most people who go to the buffet prefer the cooked rolls VS the raw. This is a much more quality vs quantity buffet. Gives you a chance to try… Read more

Shrimp tempura roll- I prefer the crunchy roll to this, but you order what you need to when the menu is limited. Dynamite roll: Decent and a staple for what we usually get. Curry chicken Don (rice bowl with brown curry)- this has become one of our crave-worthy items here. The brown curry is so comforting and it reminds me of a deconstructed egg foo yung on rice with crispy chicken cutlet on top. Always a fav! I don't eat the seafood much so can't comment on those. If I did eat seafood it'd be worth my money. These foods are Asian style, NOT American. So if you're here to eat pizza, fried, clam chowder or macaroni you'll be disappointed. Even the textures, tenderness of meats and seasonings are different so if you don't like Asian textures or seasonings, you won't like it. Waitresses are usually attentive but most of them don't speak English or communicate well which defeats the purpose of service beyond getting your plates cleared or water refilled. The woman who works at the front desk is one of the rudest employees I've ever encountered! It surprises me that she still works there, unless she is the owner. When I came here before I had a question about whether we eat first or pay first and she just SHUSTED ME, and continued to SHUST me and wouldn't let me speak. I was with a large group at that time. Customers have the right to ask these questions and inquire about payment requirements before eating. Her shushing me to my face and continue to ignore my question just making making hand movements for us to follow and sit down is the epitome of rudeness and is why I don't like to come here or support this place. Yes, she can talk. She was just being rude. Their options are limited if you want variety. Most of their dishes are carbs or meat. There is very little variety when it comes to vegetables dishes or vegetables with meat. This is bad for a Chinese or Asian restaurant because Asian cuisine commonly has stir fried vegetables with meat. Flavors and textures were good though. Large salad and dessert bar. The chocolate fountain is a gross idea and I wouldn't touch it. Because there's no one monitoring it to keep kids from dipping hands in or sneezing in it or people double dipping.

One waiter was responsible for nearly all the tables in the hibachi area, each seating eight people, making even the simplest requests - like a drink refill - nearly impossible. It was clear their main goal was to turn tables over as quickly as possible, rather than provide attentive service. We were celebrating my niece's 3rd birthday, and to their credit, they did a nice job acknowledging it. However, the restaurant felt very money-driven. If you're considering using a Groupon, *read the fine print carefully* - they refused to honor ours because it wasn't purchased 24 hours in advance, which felt unnecessarily petty. On top of that, a mandatory 17%+ service charge was added to the bill, despite the service not coming close to justifying it. A final concern: food safety. I noticed the chef using the same spatula to handle both raw steak/seafood and cooked noodles without cleaning it in between, which is a big red flag. Overall, it wasn't worth the hassle. There are better hibachi options out there. Oh, the owner/manager's strategy to have us return to use the Groupon didn't work, we requested our money back. Sorry not sorry.
