They have an extensive menu so everyone doesn't have to eat raw fish if it's not your thing. However, we love it. The sashimi pieces are generous and fresh. Service is great. My only issue is that the restaurant is small. Maybe 4 booths and about 6-8 tables. Last night we tried their "Happy Hour". Great food and drink prices and lots of items on the menu. Double sided and full sized sheet of soup, salad, appetizers, sushi, rolls, and drinks. Savings is averaging about 25% according to them. read more

Really delicious sushi - huge rolls! Quick service. Absolutely loved it ! The place is clean and modern and you can see the chefs making the rolls from your seat. I really loved everything we had. Edamame, yellowtail jalapeno, Crazy Jaguar, and Sexy Lady were amazing! I can't remember what the 3rd roll was but they were all delicious. We had a mixed experience here. The food overall was good. The American Roll was especially tasty and the hibachi was decent, but the California roll was disappointing. It was about 80% cucumber with barely any crab, which wasn't what we expected. Unfortunately, the service really overshadowed the experience. We weren't greeted when we walked in, and things felt off from the start. We had a stroller with us, and instead of helping us find a comfortable spot, we were initially directed to a booth that clearly wouldn't work. When I asked about it, the waitress moved a couple of tables and pointed us to an end table with an uncomfortable chair. I politely asked to sit somewhere else, which felt awkward to even have to do. There were also a few moments that felt careless, like when she reached over my baby and stroller to grab a drink instead of going around. That's just not something you should risk. When I finished my salad, she told me to keep my fork rather than bringing a new one for sushi, which came off as odd. I also know how to use chopsticks so it seemed weird to assume that I didn't and would reuse my fork. The waitress didn't seem friendly or welcoming, and we didn't feel acknowledged at any point..even when we left, despite being the only customers there. Been wanting to try Ten Sushi for a while and got to get lunch with friends. It's a very tight and small space, but we cozied up in one of the corners. We ordered a variety of sushi rolls, gyoza, fried rice, and hibachi shrimp. The gyoza was pretty decent and I enjoyed a few of the sushi rolls. Otherwise, the rest of the food was just okay. This was my first time at Ten Sushi and I ate so well! Ngl, i sadly don't remember what rolls we ordered but they were all fresh and delicious. I ordered 2 unagi nigiri, those were probably the weakest on the plate but still good. One of the rolls had a mango sauce on it that was amazing. I've always been scared to try rolls like that but the sweetness went well and enhanced the whole bite. I also tried plum wine for the first time and it was soooo sweet and tasty. Also got pretty lit off just one glass. I wanted to order sake too but didn't need it. The environment was very chill and relaxing. We were seated in a big, roomy booth. We stopped by for their weekly happy hour (I believe this is new! Especially on a Sunday) and kicked things off with the gyoza - crispy, flavorful, and the perfect start to the feast. Then came the hibachi with filet and shrimp - and wow, talk about a massive serving! Perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. If you leave hungry, that's on you. I had an entire meal to take home with me! The pork cutlet was a showstopper--so tender, so flavorful, so ridiculously good. And the spicy crab roll? This is my all time favorite sushi restaurant. I've been to Fuji ya, Billy's, wakame. I love them all. But ten sushi is tucked away in Maple Grove and is our best kept secret. I enjoyed equally good food and great service at both restaurants in Maple Grove. I started things off with some hot tea and a beef negimaki, my first time trying it. This was an interesting hot-style appetizer and it was very good. Then I went with 3 styles of tuna based sushi rolls. All 3 were what I expected - good. They were obviously fresh and bursting with a cornucopia of flavors. As usual, the service was first class. I sat at the sushi bar so I had lots of interaction with the sushi chef and the server. They were impeccably polite, attentive, and friendly. BTW, I now ALWAYS check the restrooms at these sushi joints because I've stumbled across problems at some of the Twin Cities sushi restaurants. Now I always check them out. Thank goodness, they were nice & clean at Ten. LOW CARBOHYDRATE: It's easy to eat low-carb, keto-style at Ten Sushi. I stick with animal based appetizers and fresh sushi rolls with fish. I avoid added sugar, disgusting vegetable seed oils, large rice portions, and big piles of noodles. On the positive side- they are managing COVID-19 well. Carry out was easy to order online, a quick call when I arrived, and the bag of items were left just outside the door on a small table for me to pop out of the car and grab. The gyoza was also well made and tasty with accompanied ginger dipping sauce. One order wasn't nearly enough, and we certainly wished we had a couple more. Now, somewhat less positive. All the raving reviews had me thinking I was going to get some top-notch sushi. Alas, it was pretty meh. Keeping in mind we were sushi-starved since the pandemic has us nearly exclusively home cooking. There was no standout roll. The shrimp tempura was the most flavorful- so that's a downer. Maybe our order was too basic- as we skipped most of the specialty rolls to get a bit more quantity for our sushi hungry teens. I was also puzzled that from the text saying the order was placed and it would be "30-45 minutes" for my order to be ready- SEVEN minutes elapsed when I got the in-person phone call telling me my order was ready. For seven different sushi rolls and gyoza that seemed like a crazy short amount of time. I had to throw on my shoes and jacket and head out immediately for the drive there. There are so many other restaurant choices for sushi that we likely won't return. read more

Every time I order from here the food is delicious and HOT and it's always been to-go orders. They are my favorite fried rice place. Great flavors! The salmon rolls are stuffed! The hibachi veggies are tender with the perfect level of soft crunch. A little on the pricier side but I find the food is very much worth the quality. It was a Monday night, we arrived about 6:45 pm, the place was packed but we got seated at the last opened table. As soon as we sat down, the waitress came over with warm wash clothes to wipe our hands and to take our drink orders. Shortly after bringing us our drinks our orders were taken. The menu was a little overwhelming because there is so much on the menu but the descriptions made it very easy for us to choose from. We ordered 4 specialty sushi rolls. Benz Roll, Kamikaze Roll, Lobster Dragon Roll & their special of the day Volcano Roll. The ingredients tasted fresh and the rolls were amazingly delicious! My favorite was the Volcano roll which came in a glass cup with cellophane noodles, sea shell and a blue light as the decoration. It was not only a beautiful roll but it was really, really tasty! The rice they use holds very well and doesn't fall off. The squid is chewy and doesn't taste rubbery which is good. We ordered the eel Donburi. The eel doesn't taste so overpowering. I love the pickled veggies they have in their donburi, it gave the dish a different taste and texture along with the eel and rice.
