Let me preface this by stating that I arrived in the early afternoon, after the lunch rush and prior to typical dinner hour so that may have had something to do with my experience. I wanted to like this restaurant, as there are a number of Asian restaurants in the area and this one could have been a nice find. I enjoy good Thai food. It was my first time to try this establishment. When I arrived, it took a long time for anyone to notice I was waiting to be seated. I had my choice of tables and was seated by a window. Again, it took quite a while before a different employee came to provide a menu and bring me something to drink. The waitress seemed to be in a hurry. Perhaps is was break time for her. Eventually a waitress hurriedly took my order. My food arrived without too much delay. I tried a red curry. It was fine, but far from memorable; certainly nothing special, but also not bad. I ordered spice level 2 and found it appropriate for my taste. Condiments were on the table for added spice, or savory additions. The restaurant was clean. Once I was served, no one ever came to check on me to see if the order was okay, or bring me more water. She just vanished and no one was anywhere to be seen. When I finished eating I looked and there was still no staff present at all. I thought perhaps I needed to go to the register, but there was no one there anyway. Finally someone come out of the back and I asked for the check. I received it and then the person disappeared again. Eventually, I flagged someone down and asked how I could pay. She took my credit card and brought back a copy for me to sign. She never even came back to pick it up. I felt like I was a nuisance to them, rather than a customer. Food: average Serivce: Nonexistent Ambiance: Pleasant Overall rating: 2 out of 5. Could be much better with somewhat more care with the food and true hospitality. There was none of that. Very light hint of flavor, nothing to rave about and if you like your typical water down Vietnamese Pho = Hmong Pho then this pho is for you. Eggrolls: 1/5, only looks good but mainly filled with noodles with no flavor. Kapia: very sticky. No broth. Laab: 1/5, filled with mainly onions and green onions. We really wanted to support this place but lack of attention on food, flavor and customer skills made this our last visit. Packed on a Sunday night with only two open tables. Most of their beverages were out of stock, didn't help that it took until the end of the meal for our waters to be refilled. Pad Thai was lacking flavor and the chicken was severely overcooked. Wontons and egg rolls were good but nothing spectacular. We were given the bill within five mins of receiving are food and then the waitress repeatedly came back to ask if the bill was handled as if she was rushing us out of there. My sister and I came here hoping to grab an early diner on Aug. 25th at 4:30pm. As we walked in, we noticed most of the tables were full except for two. We waited by the door as the signage indicated. A few minutes passed and a young teenage girl came from the kitchen and asked us if we're picking up or dining in. I stated that we'd like to dine in. She yelled that we aren't taking any dine ins, I asked again and she said we aren't taking any dine ins. We were so confused. Obviously you are, there's people sitting in most of your tables. The place isn't that big so all the customers sitting heard it and were looking at us just as confused. Like, I understood they may have been busy and had a wait time but they just told us they weren't taking any dine ins? Okay.... Anyhow, we took our business elsewhere. There's a bunch of Asian restaurants around BP now so go somewhere else that would give you better service. Maybe grab some GoCha and head to MT Noodles which is just up the road. ;) read more

At the moment they're only accepting take outs - no dining in experience. I ordered the Pad See Ew and Paradise Wings during my lunch through Yelp (about 12:30 - 1:30). This was on a weekday. Estimated time to be ready as shown in Yelp was about 30-35 minutes. If you're looking to grab something and can't wait or have less than an hour for lunch, I suggest ordering ahead of time. Otherwise it looks like they also have a good selection of hot deli items and cold snacks to grab and go. I actually arrived a bit early to pick up but food came out before the estimated time I was given in the app. Don't forget to grab your utensils! It's not in the bag when ordered. I had to go back in for that. Plenty of parking space in the lot! Although wait time was much longer than normal, you won't be disappointed by the food! I was most amazed by the Paradise Wings. Seems to be coated with Panko crumbs and cooked perfectly - not at all soggy. 3 hours later and the wings were still crunchy as when it was fresh! Wings were packed and meaty, just how I like it. Comes with sweet chili sauce. Pad See Ew was also delicious. I've had my fair share of Pad See Ew but the noodles for this one holds perfectly well. As in, it's not soggy and doesn't break easily fresh or if you were to save and eat it later. Quite impressed. Good mix of proteins and vegetables. The cream cheese wontons were good with plenty of cheese filling. We ordered two other appetizers, the Golden Prawns and Crispy Calamari. They were both very greasy and heavily breaded. The coating was crisp but way too much. We took several paper towels and tried to soak some of the grease up to no avail. We ended up trying to peel off most of the breading. The Calamari were thin strips, tender but mostly breading and grease. The sauces served with all three appetizers were good. Since I always come here, it is about damn time that I wrote them a review.This is my favorite Asian restaurant in the Brooklyn Park area, let alone, probably the entire Twin Cities! They have an expansive menu full of delicious and intriguing Asian dishes. My go-to favorites are the Curry/Khaopoon soup, papaya salad, pork belly, fried chicken wings, cream cheese wontons and their Pho. I've also had their dumplings, fried rice, spring rolls and egg rolls and they were all delicious as well! Their khaopoon can be a hit or miss. Sometimes they make their curry broth a bit too thick and I prefer mine to be more liquid-y; however, it is still absolutely bombdotcom! They aren't really known for their pho I would say as most people that I know do not like it, but I actually find it it to be pretty tasty. Just don't overload your pho with the sauces they provide. I love that they include the pork belly in it; soooo good! Also, this is not on the menu, but you can request for beef rib pho, which is what my husband always gets and he loves it. The staffs are very nice and they do their job. However, I feel like they can be a bit slow at coming to place your order and fill your cup with water. The restaurant is a bit small so I would avoid lunch rush as it usually gets pretty crowded. I hope that in the future, they will expand their restaurant. Lastly, their prices are not even comparable to Lemon Grass Thai Cuisine. Way much better prices! Lemon Grass food is great as well but they overprice their menu! Not sure what the 5 stars are reviewing, but this place is terrible. It's way overpriced for very low quality food. All appetizers are just deep fried from pre-made frozen stuff, nothing made fresh. The Pad Thai was drenched in a sweet sauce and every thing in it including the chicken was just old tasting. Service is almost a joke. I think they do a brisk take out business, but it just must be customers that don't care about flavor and quality. read more

Like a hmong village, but worse? Had Kaopoon and there was barely any meat or broth. The veggies were pretty dead but its whatever. The broth was good. Duck laab was disappointing, all I could taste was the rice powder, nothing else. Papaya thai style spice medium was not spicy enough and too sweet. Tom yum was the BIGGEST let down. NO FLAVOR! First time visit. Ordered Chicken Pad Thai, spicy, and it actually did have a decent spice "kick"! We also ordered the Fusion Fried rice which was okay (probably won't order again). Spring rolls were very good, however they did NOT include any kind of sauce. (I guess you have to ask for it). They did not offer/provide utensils/chopsticks -- again, will know next time. The wait person was on the phone so I was not able to ask her for sauce or utensils, and I didn't feel like waiting around. My mom and I ordered Beef laap, thai sausages, nam khao, papaya salad, sticky rice, and khao poon. Beef laap was 98% onions 2% meat. We also asked for 4 spicy; was not spicy at all. Thai sausages was good but only had 6 small pieces in the order. Nam khao was ok but was soft, gave us a little small chunk of lettuce, and put too much red curry in it. So it then was overpowering the other flavors. Papaya salad was wayyy too sweet with 0 spiciness; couldn't even eat it (thankfully I'm able to doctor it up so it'll taste so much better). Our sticky rice had a thick black hair in it as well... DISGUSTING! The only thing that we truly liked and they got right was the khao poon but even then they only gave us a small small container of soup. Overall they are going way too cheap on their customers while overpricing food for such a little amount that the customer really gets. $58+ for our order and it was not worth it. This place has switch over to new management multiple times. I came here on a Friday night, it was pretty empty but we decided to give it a try. We were a bit ify, to be honest I was sure I was going to be disappointed. But to my surprise the food was fabulous. Everything tasted super good. And my boyfriend is a Thai food snob since he is Thai/Lao. And he give it a 8/10! I was super excited because he usually bash on every Thai restaurant. Food was delicious! Husband had Pad Thai and I had pineapple stir fried rice with chicken. Portions were hearty and I had 3 meals from my dinner. We ate inside during lunchtime and it was quiet with soothing music. The Pad Thai had fresh bean sprouts, husband chose pork as protein. It was served with lime not lemon as some restaurants do. It's now become a family owned business which is completely fine, but the daughter that answers the phone is rude and has no customer service skills. Food is hot, fresh and tastes great! Service is quick and friendly. It can get really packed during lunch hours because of their lunch menu. I love their Thai boat noodle here. First time trying their crispy calamari and spring rolls and they were delicious. The only downfall I'd say about this place is that their portions are pretty small. But in all honesty, Thai restaurants usually serve small portions because that's just how they eat. If you want a full meal, I'd suggest ordering 2 appetizers and a dish. August, I went in for my daughter, who wasn't with me, because I seen a help wanted sign on a little piece of paper on the door driving by. The teen girl was on her phone looked up and said picking up or dining in. I said, I was looking for an application for my daughter. (This would be a closer restaurant for her to work at. The one she's employed at now is further out). The girl was rude, not helpful and slowly stopped texting and got up after I asked for a manager or supervisor. Food is VERY good. They have new owners but, but I heard that it's still run by the same family and the chef, Sam, is still the same. We've been here many times and it never disappoints. Very authentic Thai food. Their papaya salad is easily the BEST in the Metro! Pad thai is delicious. We love getting Eggplant Delight and the Hot Tempered Fish! Everything is very generously portioned! People who say that the portions are small are unrealistic in their expectations...Go to Hmong Village or your local Asian market place to get cheap mediocre food for cheap. Their Thai coffee is great too...a tad sweet for me but nothing a little ice cant fix! I'd rather it be a little sweet than not sweet enought! My family prefers Thai Fusion over Lemongrass (more Americanized Thai food). The only thing that they can improve on is the service. My server was very nice and attentive, however sometimes when they're busy, it can get a little slow.
