From chocolate to "vintage" candies and hard to find favorites, this place has something for your sweet tooth. It's really temptation on steroids. Delectable. They have everything from handmade truffles, giant Rice Krispy squares, vintage sodas, unique gifts, and more. As other reviewers said, this place can definitely be overwhelming, but the cheerful and friendly staff is very attentive and great at guiding confectionary connoisseurs through the wide ranging selection. Be sure to sign up for their mailing list! It takes five minutes, and they'll give you a pound of high quality gummy bears in quirky flavors like grapefruit and blueberry for free, just as a thank you! Every dollar you spend equals a point, and certain numbers of points add up to rewards, like free chocolate bars and truffles. This is super worthwhile, because the candy is on the expensive side, and a discount will make your visit even sweeter!

Skybar is literally the best chocolate candy bar in the world…read more A couple years ago when NECCO went under, a small kitchen/food store named Duck Soup acquired the Skybar recipe, intellectual property and production equipment at auction. It took some time but they eventually expanded their space and got the bars back into production. I waited far too long to visit!! They taste amazing. To me, there are some minor differences in flavor to the original - the most notable being the caramel. It is now more noticeably salted however its thinner and tastes better quality than the Necco original. The vanilla section doesn't seem as strong in flavor as the original. However I believe the quality of the milk chocolate is better. I believe the pros outweigh the cons and its amazing they are even available!! This space is a combination production and retail space with a glass barrier leaving the customer full view of the process! There's also a bunch of swag for sale as well. If you love or even just like Skybars, you need to show your support and head out here to buy some candy and merch!!!

With so many closings all over the country of restaurants & iconic places; it's nice to hear the word RESCUED back in our Vocabulary once again. Do I hear The Martha & The Vandella's song "Dancing in he Street" playing in the background. LOL! In 1938 The Necco Candy Company an American Candy Company located in Boston introduced the world to The Sky Bar Candy Bar. It became extremely popular in its heyday as well as a fan favorite of the 60s, 70s, 80s generations. In 2018 The Necco Candy Company filed for bankruptcy & closed its doors. People were very sad & upset about the news - one of the oldest Candy companies in America was out of business. Well the name Sky Bar went up for Auction. Louise Mawhinney bought the name Sky Bar & it was Rescued. Louise also Rescued another company next door called Duck Soup a few years back. Well Louise thought that was it. Well as fate would have it Louise ended up meeting one of the former employees of Necco Jeff Green VP of Necco & he told her she could make the candy herself. Necco had old machines. This brand new small facility is totally high tech & produces FRESH Sky Bars. It is both a manufacturing facility & a retail store all in one in Mill Village in Sudbury MA. The Sky Bar has 4 sections each with a different filling Caramel, Vanilla, Peanut ( Teddie Peanut Butter another Boston company) & Fudge all covered in Milk Chocolate. They make a new batch every couple of days so they are probably the Best Sky Bars you have ever tasted - Fresh as can be. Every Saturday at 11 AM they make the Sky Bars & you can watch through the glass windows the whole candy making process for FREE. It's like a Giant 3D Printer. They also make them 2 or so times during the week at the 11 AM time slot as well. You can call & find out what days they are making the candy during the week that you are coming here. They also sell Merch with Sky Bar T Shirts & Baseball Caps. There is a vintage video of the old Necco candy making facility you can watch too. They even have a model train that circles the store. All the Sky Bars are stacked in the original Necco wooden crates which is So Cool! You can purchase the bars individually in the store for $1.98 each & you can also order a box of 24 online. They also sell a lot of other Retro Candy & Merch in here too. There is Free Parking in the back. I talked to one of the employees in here & they told me people have driven 2 & 1/2 hours just to come here & buy their favorite candy bar Sky Bar that they thought was gone forever & said it was totally worth the trip! It used to be, you had to have mega bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!
