I like to go tanning in the winter time. This LA Tan is by far the best location I've been to. I usually go on Tuesday evenings and this place is always clean and well kept even despite that being a busy day for them! The bathroom is even spotless! If I could give this store/LA tan a 0 I would. I received a TERRIBLE custom spray tan prior to a wedding I was standing up in. My feet and hands were splotchy, spots on my body were not covered and my actual tan (which was the whole reason I wanted a spray tan) was not covered. I have been trying to get my money back and have been told "it's just not possible." I was also blamed for not using blending cream and that it was my fault for not exfoliating prior to going (when I did). Be VERY sure you want a service done here (or any LA tan) because you will be disappointed/unhappy. And forget about getting a refund. read more

Love this location! The inside is decorated very nicely, always super clean. The girls at the counter are super friendly and helpful! I am always recommended the best products and best deals. This location offers 6 levels of tanning, Versa Spray tanning, and Custom airbrushes. The Thursday cocktail special is my favorite, not a bad price at all for everything I'm getting! This location recently got new level 3 lay downs which are now my favorite bed at the location. I will continue to visit this location as a happy customer! read more

I had a formal event coming up and wanted some color, plus I got a coupon in the mail for "one week free trial," so off I went to LA Tan. Day 1: When I arrived I found out that in reality the one week free trial coupon is basically just a lie to get people in the door and what they actually offer is 4 tans for $4. Plus a tiny $6 packet of lotion. Plus $1 for eye shades (that I couldn't even use bc I ended up going in a standing bed, holding a towel over my eyes...). But 4 for $4 isn't a bad deal, so fine. I told the girl that I don't burn easily and I wanted to go in the level 3 or 4 bed for the maximum of 10 minutes. She was trying to be helpful, but she talked me down into a level 2 bed, and then tried to talk me into going for less than 10 minutes. After my first tan, there ended up being no noticeable difference. Day 2: I wanted to see some bronze! But the girl had freaked me out about how hot the level 4 bed is, so I decided to play it safe with level three.. 10 minutes. Slight change, but even using a sticker it was hard to see much of a difference, immediately or later. Day 3: Ok, give me the hottest bed for the longest time already!! And there ya go! Looked like I spent a day at the beach. (I know people who work there will probably argue that I had to build a base tan first, but my skin tans easily, and when I've gone to other locations in the past I saw immediate results the first time......) Day 4: Excited about finally seeing some color. But when I went the girl told me my trial was expired.. but she eventually decided to let me use the the last one "as a courtesy." Looking forward to repeating the results from last time, I went in to level 4 for 10 minutes, and..... nothing. Maybe the whole misleading advertisement just put a bad taste in my mouth from the start, bc if they put it out there they should honor it. But I would care less about that if there was actually a noticeable difference after 4 times tanning. Overall the trial was not convincing. read more

I've been tanning at this location for a few years now and all was well until I found out it was under new ownership. They told me my rewards were running low and the only option they had was for me to buy more product. I found that so odd because I have bought all sorts of packages and specials in the past. They wouldn't even let me pay actual money just to tan! I called other L.A. Tan locations to see if they were all doing this and I found out it's only this one. Hopefully they figure out soon that only selling products for rewards to tan, is really going to hurt their business. Good luck. read more

I am embarrassed to even be writing this review because I swore off tanning beds forever 5+ years ago in college when I decided I could no longer ignore their harmful UV rays. Hey I was young and ignorant. But I was trying to look good for my own wedding and I was desperate. I tan easily and many many long bike rides this past summer left some sweet tan lines on my back. I still had tan lines in March from the previous summer so I knew there was no way they were going to fade in time for a November wedding. So I gave in and bought a package at LA Tan. I purchased the Vacation Package which was like 7 tans for around $40 (I can't remember exactly) and I got a variety of levels. In hindsight, I might have been better off going with just buying singular tans because I didn't even use all 7. I never knew how long to go in the different level beds and relied on the suggestions from the staff. Some people were better than others at this. I only got a slight burn once so that is good. Some of the beds seemed a little old at this location but everything was clean. Plus I never had to wait for a bed because they had plenty available. Overall, I am glad I tanned because I did look good. I thought the price was okay, but honestly I think I will go back on an indefinite tanning bed hiatus. read more

So I used to go the Bartlett LA Tan until my friend to me about this location. This location is by far 20 times better than the Bartlett location. The battle location is old and outdated and the beds don't even get you tan. This location is definitely worth to drive a little bit further to the staff are so friendly and super nice I would highly highly recommend this LA Tan over any other one read more

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! Their "policy" says last tan is 15 minutes before close. Showed up before that time and still wasn't allowed to tan because they had already started to close and couldn't open things up again. What is the point in having a policy like that if you're not going to follow it? Employee and manager were extremely rude and unhelpful. Just kept repeating "sorry I don't know what you want me to do" will never go to this location again. There are many tanning salons in the area that respect their customers and actually stick to their policies. read more

Went to spray tan today.... was pretty disappointed in this location- the versa spa spray heads were pointed out too far so I barely even got sprayed! I am super disappointed as I have been going to this LA Tan for almost 10 years and the blond girl that they now have there is super rude super unfriendly and I will not be back. I will be giving my business to another LA Tan or ultimate exposure as I am super dissatisfied that this young blond girl who it was more important for her to stare at her cell phone than welcome me with hello and still on her cell phone when I was leaving. This was my first time tanning at this location today.I bought a package at the Lombard location where I've been tanning there for years and years and absolutely love it the girls there are very nice and accommodating. It was very clean and the decor was outstanding. The girl that was working was very rude and condescending to me. I will not be returning to this location. As a new resident to Glendale heights I will try the other location near me or drive to Lombard where I am treated respectfully. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about this location. Every time I have been in there I have had nothing but excellent service. Each girl behind the counter is kind and helpful. The place is very clean and they answer any questions you may have honestly (I am super OCD when it comes to cleanliness). They don't pressure you into buying things which is a huge pet peeve of mine so it's nice to be treated so well instead of having to endure a sales pitch. They have a ton of beds in varying levels of intensity. Their spray tans are great too and they have the clear coat so you don't have the orange mess. Tons of lotions to choose from and they are always having a promotion so you rarely pay full price for tanning supplies. I am a frequent tanner and I travel quite a bit. I have been to several LA Tans over the years, and I am never disappointed. The beds are consistently high in quality, there is always a great selection of tanning products available, and you just know what to expect. Recently I visited the Bloomingdale location and I was very pleasantly surprised. I loved the way it was laid out and decorated. I was impressed with the staff. Having held an LA Tan membership (at $19.99 a month for unlimited tanning) for well over a year and a half I have not found a salon I like more than this particular location. The staff is full of smiles and helpful suggestions.They treat you like family and usually try their best to remember your name and seem to feel guilty (apologizing profusely)when they dont! They have a water cooler and bathrooms on the left side, offer to help you out if you are trying a new bed and don't try to ruin the relationship they have established with you as a client by pushing their products on you- as other LA Tan locations do. Amanda as new management (having moved from the Glendale Heights location) has made some seriously positive changes to this place. The staff also does their best to make sure you will not get burnt by suggesting different times if they see in their computers that you have not tanned in a while and all of the sudden want to do the full time in a strong bed. I've been going to this locations for over 10 years. Last time I was there, which was 3.5 months ago, I told them the lock on the door of spray tan room #5 did not work. I honestly don't think they knew about the issue at that time. The girl that worked there said that she would watch to make sure no one entered my room. I went in there again tonight and the lock is still broken. When I talked to the girl about it she said that she knew that the lock was broken and that the owner hasn't been in to fix it yet. The owner clearly doesn't want to spend the money or time to fix a lock on the door? Anyone can walk in on you "tanning" in the buff, watch you, rape or attack you which is a major safety concern. How difficult is it to put a hook and eye latch lock on the door?!? Obviously, they don't care about their customer's safety or comfort. I'll be going to the other LA Tan location in Bloomingdale from now on. read more

horrible horrible, owner, i cancelled twice due to pregnancy, and 3 months later i'm still being charged they owe me over $200.00 and he's telling me & my sister we both didn't cancel. he knew he was in the wrong so he offered me (3) months of free tanning, even after i said i was pregnant, then he had the audocoty to tell me to tan after i deliver in 7 months, then he hung up on me and took the phone off the hook and left. very very very unprofessional!!!! just out to take peoples money!!!!!!!!! read more
