I've been coming to LA Tan for more than 10 years, and I felt compelled to leave a review for Haley. She's relatively new compared to how long I've been a customer, but she's quickly become my favorite person to see when I walk in. What really stands out is that she actually knows who I am. She remembers my name and recognizes me when I come in, and honestly, that's never happened in all the years I've been coming here. I always greeted warmly. Worst customer service experience. Last year, I purchased a package of four spray tans with the clear understanding that they were valid through the end of 2025. Based on that information, I intentionally saved one to use on New Year's Eve. When I arrived at the location, I was told--very rudely--that my spray tan had expired because I was "two hours past" the expiration time. I was never informed at the time of purchase that the spray tan would expire at 11:00 a.m. on the final day, nor was this communicated to me at any point afterward. To be told this at the counter, after planning my visit specifically for that day, was both frustrating and disappointing. The way this situation was handled felt misleading and unprofessional, and I left feeling that I was being denied a service. Been a customer of LA Tan for many years now, and I do not understand how the bathroom at this facility is constantly out of order... For weeks at a time. I mean, I can hold it for the 30 minutes that I spend there, but what do the workers do for the several hours that they work there? Think there's some violations going on here that the inspectors keeps turning a cheek to. Not right. Seems like a building code violation that should be looked into at a higher level. Might have to make a phone call to city hall on this. read more

What a nice experience.....we haven't had a good tan since Covid. We chanced going to LA Tan in Burbank. Haley was professional, knowledgeable and very pleasant. She walked my husband and I through the process of the spray tan booth. We always had a person with a spray wand.....unfortunately her business died with the pandemic. Not only are the front desk workers Beyond kind, but theyre honest. I unfortinetly left my wedding ring and band behind in my tanning bed. the next morning I noticed and called the Burbank location upon opening. As soon as Hayley answered, she asked if it was me. she said right away that her coworker, Martina had found my rings. they kept the safe for me until I was able to pick them up. Today, June 19th, at around 9:15, I was at LA Tan/room 19 (spray tan). I left my Apple watch, earrings, and diamond wedding band on the shelf. After my tan, I left my items on the shelf on accident. I realized I had left my belongings 15 minutes after I had left, as I was driving. I called LA Tan, and the girl at the desk (the only employee there) said she had the watch and earrings. I told her I also left my wedding ring. I placed the watch and earrings on the left side and the ring on the right. She told me someone was in the room and that she'd have to check afterward and call me back. I waited 10 minutes, and I HAD TO CALL her back. This place is not busy enough for her to not call me back. She said the ring wasn't there. She immediately started questioning whether I was sure I had it on, whether it was not in my belongings, etc. I told her, no, I knew I had left everything. She said she was going to double-check everything and call me back. She didn't. I arrived and checked the room, although I knew where I had left my ring, and someone had taken it. I asked her to speak to the manager or owner, and she said she was the manager and I couldn't have the owner's number. She said that she had spoken to the owner already. She called the owner on her phone to tell him I would call the police. I made a police report. They will contact the ONE client who went in after me and check the cameras. How was my ring gone within 15 minutes? And why didn't the desk person immediately call me when she found my items? It saddens me that some people can take something precious away from someone else without remorse. read more

I've officially STOPPED going to the LATan in Burbank. The last 4 times I tried going, I was refused service due to what I can only assume was employees wanting to close up shop and leave early. The first time it happened was a Sunday and it was a FULL HOUR before their posted closing time. The most frustrating detail about this interaction was the person who was "working" was the SAME PERSON I COMPLEMENTED IN MY ORIGINAL POST! She stood there behind the counter shaking her head "No". The next 2 times this happened it went basically the same way (just different employees) except as soon as they saw me walk up to the door, the employee (poss. employees? but not the same girl from the first service refusal) just booked it to the back of the store instead of actually speaking to me like an ADULT. The final straw though was ridiculously infuriating! Two girls working working and (to my surprise) I was actually able to walk in the door! I walk up to the girl at the counter and was getting ready to give her my info and and the kind of bed and tan I wanted but before I could even get that far, she just looked at me and said I'd have to come back a different day cause they're cleaning up so the can go home before 9 (i walked in the door at about 820 or 825pm). Now, here's the main detail as to why I HAVE NOT AND WILL NOT GO BACK HERE... I was parked right in front of the place. As I was putting on my seatbelt I watched 2 PEOPLE WALK IN (a man and a woman) as they walked in, the 2nd employee working came to the front desk. They talk and exchange what I assume was the customers account info and then off they both go to their respective tanning beds! I. WAS. LIVID. I immediately walk back in, I look the chick's behind the counter and as calmly as I could, I said "excuse me but, is there a problem or something?" The 2nd employee spoke up asking what's the matter. I said "well I want to l know why I was turned away and refused service when not 2 minutes later I watched that couple walk right in and just walk on back without issue. The 2nd employee said "Well it takes kind of a long time to clean the self tanning booth... and I immediately stopped her and I said "sorry but, I don't care about how long it takes to clean that thing because what I ASKED FOR IS A 10 MINUTE, LEVEL 2 STAND UP! I was given a story about how the employee I spoke to first was "new" and she didn't know.... EVEN THOUGH I TOLD HER VERY CLEARLY THE level and bed I want. I just said " Look, the two of you do realize how messed up this whole situation is right? Like, do you understand why I'm as upset as I am?" The girl I 1st encountered when I walked in the door Just looked at me and said "I'm new. I'm sorry." And that was about as much of an apology as I was gonna get. No other attempt to rectify the situation was made. But, yeah.... IM NEVER COMING BACK HERE. I've been going to the location in Western Springs and I'll never go to different location again! read more

Best way to do it is to get a monthly membership for $19.99. It offers unlimited level 1 tanning stand up or lay down. I go three times a week to keep up with a healthy glow and the $20 a month saves me so much money because I go so frequently. The versa spray machine is not my favorite. It gives me a Blotchy tan and skips body parts. So I switched over to the spray tan option which is much better. Just avoid the versa pro machine read more

I do not know how long ago CiCi was here, but it must not have been in the past 5 years. I have been a long time customer of this L.A. Tan and the service is ALWAYS Excellent! There are 4 girls that work here and not one of them is "Orange." I would classify them as fair, and alot less tan then they should be for working at a tanning salon. I was disturbed by the review of calling them orange and raisins so I asked the girls myself how much they tan, 1 replied maybe about twice a week, the other said when new products come out so she can test them and be able to give her customers an honest opinion on how well they work. The prices are more then fair and reasonable. You can get an unlimited package for just $29.99 a month, you can tan everyday level 1 and part in Level 2, you get 50% off upgrades and up to 30% off lotions, on Sundays they even offer members additional discounts. This place is always clean and orderly, you walk in and can smell the cleaning fragrances. Trust me I've had my share of bad experiences at Tanning Salons, and this one by far is one of the best in town! They always go above and beyond in there customer service. I even get a gift every Christmas from the lovely staff. One of the most inviting things about this place is how well they know me, i walk in the door and they know my name, I am always greeted by my first name and they know exactly what I would like to do, Anytime there is something new (bed, bulbs or products) they are eager to share with me so I can try it out. AMAZZZZZZZing! The beds are nice and hot and you will get awesome color. The staff is super inviting and it feels like home when you step in. The girls are really honest when recommending lotions and beds, and are usually always up to date on new information!
