I quit my former brow tech to go to Tasha. I was referred by a friend and I haven't been disappointed yet. Upon my first visit, she gave me a tip to help grow my brows, something I'd been desperately trying to do and my former brow tech hadn't offered. I love the appointment and scheduling process as I like to do things digitally and quickly. Usually, I don't wait anymore than 5-10 minutes to be serviced. Overall, I'm pleased each time I leave the beauty bar. I will say that you may have to give this place a couple of tries before judging it (as with most places). My first visit was a little shaky because the receptionist wasn't the most helpful or welcoming to someone who'd never been in the shop and didn't know how things worked (sign-in vs. not signing in). Bottom line: Unless things changed, Tasha will be the ONLY person to do these brows! read more

Great place! I was thrilled when I was able to walk in on NYE. The salon is cute and the staff were friendly. I received a wax and eyebrow tint. My brows looked great but the tint faded the next day. I'm not sure what went wrong because I always get my brows tinted and it last for a week. I may go back only because I liked the lady who did it but I am on the fence. read more

This was my first time at this location and it will be my last. The customer service is not good at all. The receptionist took forever to even speak to me, let alone check me in. Then I had to wait 15 min to be serviced. I was waiting because they were having a full on conversation when I walked in. Also the prices are much too high for the service you receive. Then I was defaulted the tip. When I called to inquire they didn't seem concerned about it and said "it's automatic" and kind of treated like "oh well." As a first time customer this was just not a good experience and I would discourage people from also attending this place for that same reason. read more

Disappointed. Brows were uneven. Called and ask if it could be redone and offered to even pay again. Waited all day and no appointment was re-scheduled. I was real polite when I contacted the owner; and even took the blame. But honestly, A Brow Specialist would never have let me leave the salon with my brows that uneven. It was very noticeable. They've done good work in the past but this situation should have been handled. So I went to Anastasia Brow Studio in Nordstrom and they even it out for me. I ended up paying $30 here and $30 at Anastasia. Lesson learned! Up until this point, things have been okay! But you should always rectify a situation, especially when it's not the clients fault. read more

If I could give less than one star I would. A deposit is required in order to make an appointment but it is not stated that it is non-refundable. The owner stated that you can cancel your appointment as long as it is 24 or more before your appointment. I called to cancel my appointment within 4 hours of making my appointment because I found a salon that could accommodate me the same day. They refused to refund my $50 deposit and got exceptionally rude. When I stated that I wasn't told the deposit was non-refundable they stated that's their policy and would issue a credit for future services. No thank you. Why would I chose to do business with a shady business with such low standards for customer service? In addition to the fact that the music playing was vulgar and the salon was unclean. I should have gone with my first kind but I really wanted to patronize a neighborhood black-owned establishment. Unfortunately, they are so hungry for money they would rather keep $50 and lose the opportunity to maintain a potential client. The only reason I cancelled was because I was heading out of town and they could not accommodate me for another five days. Another point I mentioned when making the appointment with the owner and the counter girl. Buyer beware! Last point, the owner and counter girl had really bad lashes. They both stated they needed them done, but I should have run for the hills right then and not given in to the high pressure tactics to get me to make an appointment with them. Shameful. read more

What can I say? Well, a late and huge congratulations to Tasha for opening her own shop! Tasha has been doing my brows since 2012 and I have nothing but trust and faith in any challenge she takes on. She is definitely a pro at what she does and I feel quite comfortable sending anyone her way. I had an opportunity to see some of the work the other ladies in the shop had done and it was very good as well. I get my pedicures by Carmen. She is kind but importantly she is the absolute best at what she does. I can't compliment her enough. She does a good and through job. She has an eye for detail. She also does manicures amazingly. She also has a great polish selection. read more

I love this place!!! I walked in to try them out for a few reasons: it's black owned, operated by black females, it's in the Beverly area where I live and I was desperate. I'd let someone at the nail shop I go to do my brows and they were horrible, I ended up waiting months for them to grow back right. I saw Fabulous Lashes on fb and decided to give them a try and it was the best decision I could've made. Ebonaye (I hope I didn't misspell her name) is wonderful and does an awesome job every time I go. If there's a wait it's so worth it, you won't be disappointed. read more

I love this place!! The ladies here are polite and friendly. Easy going atmosphere and the music selection varies. Let's be real..not everyone likes the same music and this place tries to play a variety. Always clean! Especially the ladies room which is a super plus for any woman!! My girl EBONE always gets my brows on point.!!! Love her so much!!! Ms Tasha is NOT playing about here business and if you've ever been here you would agree. ohhhh lastly....ladies the price is right!! If you'd prefer to go and get your brows done at a nail salon for $7 I'm almost certain you don't care that your brows are two different sizes. Just speaking from experience that's all. read more

Well, I arrived here with my appointment at 1:45. At 1:45, there is someone in her chair that Tasha has not even started on yet. When she IS done with the woman it is 2:10. All the women in the shop were gossiping while the woman was in the chair, so majority of the time Tasha was talking rather than doing the actual clients eyebrows. As SOON as the woman walks out the door with her finished brows, Tasha tells the other women in the shop how "terribly thin" the woman's eyebrows were! As soon as she left! Lol. By this point I am ready to go. She's passed my appointment time and now she's being unprofessional. She then proceeds to stay in the bathroom for another 10 minutes and now it's 2:30. Almost an hour after my initial appointment Time. So I want to leave at this point because it's Friday and the point of an appointment is to secure you're spot and TIME right?? Mind you I am the only other customer in the shop. So as I tell the receptionist I want to leave because my appointment is so past due and I was expecting to be done by now. The appointment details said 1:45 for 20 minutes. she tells me I will still be charged for the services. WHAT?? So to everyone trying to see Tasha, be prepared to be charged for services regardless of the wait time. And also be prepared for her to talk about you like a dog once you leave her chair. read more

Atmosphere is nice and that's about it. The customer service is horrible. The receptionist was as hood/ghetto as they come. She was overly loud, using profanity, not friendly at all, etc. Sad to say, but you try to support black business and when you do, you get very poor customer service. After I tipped for my services, I used my cc through style seat and was still charged tipping. When asked I got oh you should have read your text regarding tips. When I asked to speak to the owner, I was told she was busy and not taking calls. This was my first and last time at this place.It's a scheme that the owner would let someone else bring her business down. read more

Omg where do I start!!! This is the most unprofessional experience I have ever had and when I say I am telling everyone that I know to spread the word about my terrible experience with Tasha. My appointment was booked two days before my baby shower. I was a potential new client when I arrived with my son. My first encounter was a sign on the door that said no kids. I went in to see if she would make an exception since I was not notified that children where not allowed. She refused because it was against policy which was fine but my only issue was that the no kids policy was no where on her style seat..the booking email...nor the reminder email. I went back in just to ask the representative to show me where I overlooked the no child policy on Tasha's styleseat account and she was unable to locate it as well. Tasha at this point had the nastiest attitude and was extremely rude to me all because I had my son who is five and extremely quite. As a potential loyal client I was extremely surprised at how I was treated by the owner. What I hope she can take away from this is that she is not just an owner but a representative of the community of black owned businesses. She has to remember that she plays a role in the stigma that black owned businesses don't provide proper customer service. All up until attempting to patronize her establishment I was eager to support all forms of black owned establishments. People like Tasha Mac are a part of the problem. She lacks humbleness in understanding that she is successful only because of the clients that support her and once you loose sight of appreciating any and all people that choose you out of all people in this industry to support you will fail. All in all it was a terrible experience and the people that I know of that go to her for services are outraged as well and we all decided not only to use the power of word of mouth to speak on this issue but she has lost those individuals as clients as well. Icing on the cake is that she charged my card for the full services that I did not receive because I was turned away even though I made it to my apppointment on time. I filed a dispute with my bank regarding the charge so even though she called herself still charging me a cancellation fee the money will be returned. Anyway lesson learned, true colors revealed and these are the reviews that I take seriously when considering spending money with any business. I refuse to spend my hard earned money with people who treat me like a number. I hope she sees this review and uses it as a reflective experience to do better. read more

I'm surprised to see a bad review about this business as I have been a customer for quite a few years and none of what was said holds to be true. The ladies and owner of Fabulous Lashes are professional, the establishment is always clean and they all go above and beyond to provide top customer service. They have no need to try and pressure sale their services, and I have never heard music that includes profanity being played during the time anyone is being serviced. The owner creates a comfortable environment where you can be as relaxed as possible while they are taking care of you. The ladies there are the best at what they do and attempt to accommodate and make sure every customer is beyond satisfied. They are up front with their policies including deposits and children not being allowed, and understand if it does not work for you. Everyone that knows business know that you can't please everyone and that sometimes out of spite people will say things that are not true. If you are looking for great, professional service in a clean comfortable environment. This is the place to go!!! read more
