I recently returned to this salon after many years away. I had stopped coming when the previous owner became rude to customers, but I heard the business was under new management and decided to give it another try. The staff I interacted with were kind and professional, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, my pedicure experience itself was anything but relaxing. There is a sign posted at the front stating that children are not allowed unless they are being serviced and that strollers and carriers are not permitted. However, during my appointment there was a dog being pushed through the salon in a stroller that barked repeatedly. Aside from the obvious sanitation concerns of animals in a nail salon environment, this was extremely uncomfortable for me personally. I have a longstanding fear of dogs due to childhood trauma, and I spent most of my appointment anxious and on the verge of tears while trying to get through what should have been a relaxing service. To add to the atmosphere, there was also a very loud conversation happening in the next room that carried throughout the salon. I truly wanted to enjoy returning here because the staff were kind, but the experience was tense and stressful instead of peaceful. If policies are posted at the door, they should be applied consistently so that all customers can feel comfortable and have the relaxing experience they came in for. read more

I went on a Thursday afternoon and was serviced promptly. Standard pricing and they do charge for using a credit card. Friendly conversations I noted with other customers. Quality: 2/5. Pedicure was good, average. I got gel dip and one of my nails was a bit too clumpy. She did not use a cuticle softener nor warm water. Just the tool and her fingernails to push my cuticles back. I give 2 stars instead of 3 because after she was finished with the fingernail clippers and cuticle tool she placed them back in her bin without attempting to wipe them down. I know I'm not paying for top of the line sanitary equipment but come on some basic efforts could have been utilized. The nails were done with pink acrylic powder and gel polish. The nail stylist Hailey didn't paint a double coat with the white polish nor the topcoat and now I'm afraid it'll chip very easily. The nails look good but definitely not worth the high price. An average salon charges around $55-60 for the same style. This salon is OVERPRICED! I am very sad to say, I've been a regular customer for years, but I will not be returning. You're under new management and it does not benefit your customers in anyway. I was told my daughter's full set of gel nails would be $58 . We discussed the legend how long it should be. I was asked if I wanted her to have acrylic or gel. She told me the difference in price. ($48 vs $58). I went with the gel. NEVER ONCE was I told there was an additional fee for the shape of her nails, an additional fee for the polish (had a base of nude with the corners purple) AND a fee for glitter nail. I did not drop my daughter off. I was there the entire time. NEVER ONCE was I told, "this will be an additional...". You are blind-siding people and that's bad for business. And now you're charging a fee for credit card usage, based on the total for service. This is 2022, no one hardly ever carries cash! I have never experienced this in all the years that I've been going to Classy Nail. Yes, they have always been more expensive than other nail salons, but it was based on the quality of service. And I was always told a service would be an additional cost, BEFORE it was provided. There were brochures with pricing of all services provided. You all have come in and removed all of that. The salon was always clean. Products were only out when being used. When a station was not in use, it would be completely clean. Your manicure set was individualized and came from its own packaging. You were offered water, tea or even a mimosa. Now there is nail dust everywhere, stations filled with products and supplies, and the manicure sets are one-size fits all. No longer sterilized in individual packaging. And no one even offers a bottle of water. Never in my life have I ever spent over $100 on JUST a full set of nails!!! If I'd known ahead of time, I would have gone with a different option. Services should not be performed BEFORE pricing is discussed. Not, "this cost a little more so your total is...". Under new management and it shows yet not in a positive way. On two occasions now I've stopped by during business hours and they aren't open. There is no posted notice, no automated phone message, and no social media updates. I believe we're all understanding of staffing challenges and businesses having to make last minute decisions BUT communicate that. Also, additional, tiered, fees if paying by card is terribly frustrating. My no-chip mani was nice and my pedi got me vacation ready. Reluctantly will try them again until I find a new spot. I did not ask for a specific time, but rather a general guesstimate as if it was to be another twenty minutes or more. I did have a babysitter afterall, and my time is limited. The owner RUDELY shrugs me off and says he doesn't know. A lady working alongside him behind the counter had enough kindness to say "it should only be a few more minutes." I said okay, and asked if I may please have a drink while I wait. The owner actually SIGHED and said sure. I asked for a mimosa (as yes they do serve liquor here) and he then tells me that "my technician will get it for me when he gets to me." WTF?? That's how you respond to a drink request? When I'm already waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time?? Wow. Okay. So anyways. I kindly ask for "at least water while I wait." I have a seat and the owner brings it to me a minute later. Time goes by, my technician does my nails and I go to the counter to leave and pay. I'm paying my technician and I see THE OWNER get up from his client to approach me as I'm paying, specifically just to reprimand me. He comes up to me from behind the counter to say "if you wish to come back here, you are not to make a scene like you did earlier." I couldn't believe his rudeness!!!!! Was it really so rude of me to ask for a drink while I wait a half hour late for my appointment? Is this really what he considers "rude?" I say to him "umm... I really do not feel I caused a scene." Not much of a massage or clean up of the toes. I did acrylic nails and got white tips. Even though it is less work for white tips then having to paint them, I was charged $5 without being told prior. My mom did a regular manicure and they do not do top coats well because even though she sat under the drier for 15+ minutes waiting for me three of her nails were smudged and chipped by the time we got to our car. Disappointed since they were done for her birthday. Their response is that most people get no-chip now since it takes 3-4 hours for regular manicures to dry. I started getting my nails done since no-chip was popular. How did people keep their nails nice while drying? Sat there for 3-4 hours? My mom does not like no chip. Best nail spa in Frankfort, I always come here because they never skip steps to giving the best care when it comes to nails whether it be feet or hands. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars from me is because they don't do appointments. If you call and ask for a certain time and a person they will get you that person but the time is not promised, I asked about this after waiting 30 minutes for my scheduled service and this is what they said. I already had picked out colors and he was trying to add a neon orange to the mix. I got a full set of acrylic nails at a medium length even the nail tech asked if medium was ok I said yes. I chose medium because nail salons almost never do good long or xl nails they buy cheap tips that curve over instead of the better options in the industry. I brought my own acrylic as I do nails myself. They consist of glitter mixes so it's one application no color needed. I was charged for multiple colors and long length nails. This set is no where near $95 worth and they know that. The lady at the front argued with me that they consider these long which is a lie. Just wanted to upcharge me. My besty and I popped into Classy at the recommendation of another friend. Cash was my nail tech. My friend and I got basic manicures and pedicures. To begin, my friend and I made appointments for 1:30. We waited a half hour before we were taken to the back to start our pedis. Cash was finishing up with someone else, so my friends nail tech filled my bowl and got us some water. Once Cash joined he was kind and attentive. He was helpful to the customer next to us as well. My pedicure is neat, but there still a hang nail on the big toe. My manicure isn't neat. The nail on my middle finger has a gumbi shape, kinda slanted. And the side of my thumb is missing paint.
