What gives you the privilege to be in business and then promote hours that you're not even open. I drive all the way over to you and see this! This is how you loose business! Shame on you! Meh. My biggest complaint is how FILTHY this place is. I have been going for over a year because it's close to my home and it just gets dirtier and dirtier. In fact, I cannot think of a grosser public place except maybe the Sheridan Red Line stop. When you own the only tanning salon in the town, maybe HIRE A CLEANING SERVICE TO COME IN REGULARLY AND CLEAN. The other negative is that they are not always open when they say they will be, so it wouldn't hurt to call ahead and confirm they're open before you go. Lauren is really friendly and helpful. The other young women who work there give vibes ranging from ennui to annoyance. Mostly it's just SO dirty. read more

Would not recommend purely based on customer service, specifically the teenager working the desk. I called earlier in the day requesting an appointment and was told I could just walk in and that they take their last appointment at 8:45. When I walked in at 8:30, the young girl told me she already had someone waiting but I could come back tomorrow (clearly she didn't want to work any longer than she needed to). Just went for my first spray tan ever. Very happy with the customer service and the results. My only complaint is that this location's fancier/newer spray machine was broken, so I was unable to do most of what I wanted with my spray tan (e.g. the moisturizing treatment). However, things happen, things break, that's definitely not their fault. The lady helped me navigate the different options to compensate for this issue - which was incredibly helpful to me since I know next to nothing about tanning. I absolutely LOVE this location. I've been to numerous other locations and have not been nearly as pleased as I am with this one. First of all, the place is HUGE. There are so many beds. I have never, ever had to wait for a bed. Second, the staff is very friendly. They are always willing to help and answer any questions I may have about my package or specials they have going on. Third, it's CLEAN. I have been to other locations that have not been as clean as the Lake Zurich location. I also feel (now this may just be in my head) that I get significantly more color in their beds. One of the associates informed me that the bulbs on the two beds I tan in most often (level 6 and level 4) were just changed not too long ago. So naturally, I am very pleased by that. I live in Elk Grove, however I do work in Arlington Heights, but I travel to this location because I like it so much. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice, clean and reasonably priced tanning salon. read more

Been coming here since I was in high school for prom and have been coming here ever since and that was years ago. I usually come in the winter months/ before vacation on Tuesdays for the $5 tan and I love it. It's always clean and the employees are very friendly and helpful. I just called this LA Tan Location and received horrible customer service. I have never been to an LA Tan and this solidifies that i will never go to one. The girl was rude and when i asked for package pricing and information, she replied, "if you'd like to come in, a Representative can go over packages with you. I have a bunch of customers waiting in line that i have to get to." Seriously? The whole reason i am calling you is because i can't come in and who would waste a trip if the pricing wasn't as good as somewhere else or got horrible service anyway? Wonderful place with great options. Just started going but plan on staying. There are many options to get the perfect tan. They have good products that are reasonably priced. Rooms look clean with a towel for drying off and a mirror to see the results. Only complaint is I wish it was better lit. read more

This place has become dirty and unfriendly for the past 2 years. I used to go there almost every week for 5 years until last year. Now with the new manager, it's awful. The girls there are not friendly and the beds aren't clean half the time. Last time I was there, the actual girl in charge was eating chips and didn't even pay attention to me when I walked in. I felt like I bothered her while she was licking her fingers, and only then she got up to offer me service. It was the last time I went there. They never smile or salute you when you leave in comparison with other places. For example, lately I've been going to a different L.A. tan location, in Schaumburg, and it's way better. First of all the girls welcome you nicely, they tell you about their special offers and the beds are clean... Plus, they have deodorant, "thank you" candy and face whipes in every room, each time, for free!!! That's what I call great service. But not this place. This location is very large. They offer lots of tanning bed options. They offer minute packages that average out to around $8 a tan. However they have no fun daily/weekly specials that I know of. This is not a place you can stop in and just buy a single tan, they set the pricing up so it doesn't make since to do it that way. Example, one session for 15 min in a level 3 is $18 and in a 1 is $13 which seem ridiculous to me. It's an okay place but expensive. read more
