I recently got my vehicle tinted at LA Tint and I'm so happy with the results. This is the cleanest install of tint I've had on any of my vehicles to date. Geoff is a very easy to talk to, laid back guy and you can tell he takes a lot of pride in his work. He and the other gentleman that works with him(didn't catch his name) work very well together. The shop is great because you can see your vehicle from the waiting room. Its neat to be able to see the car go through the transformation. I'll be coming back here in the future for sure. After being subjected to verbal abuse over the phone by the most highly rated tint shop in Fairfax, VA, who I won't name... but it starts with a T and ends with an X. I was referred to L.A. Tint by a Yelp! Elite, who originally gave these guys a horrible and as he put it in his updated review, "unduly harsh" over some issues that I won't mention here. The guys at L.A. I was referred to the Sterling LA Tint store by a friend but called the Manassas store by mistake. After talking to a friendly lady at the Manassas store a couple of times, I was ready to schedule an appointment for my car for the "classic" film. That is when I realized I was speaking with the wrong store. She instructed me to call the Sterling store. I called the Sterling store and the guy told me they do not install the classic tint because it is inferior and they don't stand behind it. I found that pretty strange... the same chain, but one store does not install the classic film? LA Tint uses FormulaOne film, which is supposed to be really good throughout the product line. My car has over 100,000 miles on it and dropping $379 on window tint doesn't really make sense that this point! I will continue looking for another installer. read more

I went to LA Tint while shopping around for tint. After doing my research, their prices are a bit high for the tint they offer. Also, I looked at a customer's car in the parking lot that they told me to look at and I wasn't impressed by the work. The tint was "separating" from the dot matrix on the windshield near the rear view mirror and on the rear side windows. I ended up going with a place in MD. I had to wait 2 weeks for an appointment but it was cheaper and I think the install better. read more

Buyer beware! A couple of years ago I had XPEL paint protection film installed by this company. A few weeks after installation, several pieces showed dirt under the edges - about 1/2 inch. After several months the film started to yellow -- XPEL film does not yellow and is guaranteed for life. I spoke to the manager and he immediately tried to downplay this issue. First it was just a visual anomaly because of the lighting, then he said it was only a couple of pieces (it was every piece). The manager stated he would call XPEL and get it replaced. After a couple of months of not hearing back from the manager, I took the car to another XPEL provider who said that they would take care of it. XPEL requested a piece of the film form the car after which we found out that LA Tint used a lesser 3M film and not XPEL like I paid for (LA Tint provided the warranty card for XPEL). The XPEL rep said that this has happened a lot and that LA Tint is no longer an certified installer for XPEL products (despite the LA Tint website stating that they use XPEL film). read more

LA Tint was recommended in the Corvette Forums. Since I live fairly close to Sterling, I gave them a call and set up an appointment. Corvettes are a little more difficult because of the rear windows. They were honest and upfront with everything including the price. The handled the back window dots with vinyl. They allotted two hours for the job, but was finished in less than an hour and a half for me. It looks great and I am 100% satisfied. I will definitely go back for tinting on my other vehicles. read more

These guys did a great job on my 2015 WRX. It only took them an hour to do all 5 windows. I moved out from the west coast where window tinting is a necessity. I was mildly afraid to have it done out here because there weren't a lot of shops. LA Tints did and awesome job and as soon as I walked in I knew I went to the right place. Customer service is terrible. Tint started peeling after the 3rd week, I got no response through email, and they never answer the phone.

i submitted an online inquiry to LA tint and was contacted within 24 hours. an appointment was available within 48 hours but that did not work with my schedule so i was able to get in to the shop at a time that worked great for me. the tint job is excellent and i am happy to recommend LA tint to anyone looking for a decent tint job! they were also able to recommend another service (vendor down the street) for a small issue i had with one of my wheels. super personable staff. thanks again LA tint. read more
