I had a not so good experience with another company (see my other reviews), and turned to WC. I called them by accident at first, not remembering who I spoke to before. Once my bad experience happened I called them back and got the service I wanted. They took all the info they needed to order the windshield I needed and work with my insurance company. I called them on a Saturday to check on things and the owner answered the phone! I was shocked! That NEVER happens after hours. When the glass came in, I dropped the car off and a couple hours later got a call saying they were done. I don't think I could have had a better experience. After dealing with Safelite and getting nowhere, I reached out to Windshield City. What a difference. They got back to me right away, confirmed what windshield I needed, and got it ordered right away. I had an appointment scheduled within a couple of days- when I arrived they took the car right in and got it done in a matter of a few hours. Everyone was friendly and easy to work with. Only comment is that the entry door is a little confusing- try not to walk in the side that leads you directly into the garage area. I would highly recommend them for windshield repair. read more

I had a spider crack in our windshield caused by impact this weekend on a trip in Pittsburgh. Called Windsheild City about 9am this morning after seeing all of the great reviews. I was told there were no reservations, just come Monday, Wednesday or Friday and they could repair the damage as I waited. After arriving, Mike (the owner) who was working on a H-1 Hummer windshield, stopped his work and immediately began work on my Mercedes. In short order he repaired the crack and I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with him about cars, vacations, Ocean City, MD, etc. Great guy, great small-business and we all need to support small local business. George and Lindsey were very quick with their response to my estimate inquiry and quoted me a price less than what I received at safelite. My insurance initially recommended safelite, but after seeing some poor reviews I opted for windshield city since I wanted to make sure nothing would go wrong and no additional headache (I was replacing my entire windshield afterall). Appointment set up was easy peasy and when you arrive you're greeted by their good ol' doggies! There's also a bakery across the building, but I was there for less than an hour or so and was too engrossed in the whole process to go. Although I considered closer businesses to replace my windshield I trusted the solid Yelp reviews of this business located far from me. I requested them to come out to my location and we set up a time. I asked for flexibility on the time, and they worked around it. Excellent phone manners and real people to talk to! When they arrived they only needed 1/2 hour. They were on auto-pilot with expert movements that removed the cracked windshield and prepared the new one. The windshield was replaced with finesse in no time at all. They also repasted the tax stickers and decorations I had! During the technical work, the two were very pleasant and amiable to speak with. We guesstimated the number of windshields that Mike has replaced in his 25 year career, and it was nearly 65,500. He is used by a number of dealerships in the area.
