I made an appointment with Teresa and when I called them to let them know that I had hurt my foot and could I reschedule to Saturday, they told me that Teresa doesn't do pedicures!! Anyway, i asked who they could recommend who was great doing the massages during the pedicure and they gave me an appointment for today at 2pm; this was great as I have a party today at 5pm. Well, I checked my email at 1pm and saw a text CANCELING my 2pm appointment with instructions to call; no reasons. I called, left a message explaining my request for a pedicure this afternoon Its 230pm, no call, no text. Im so disappointed, especially since I have a gift card left from my husband and no pedicure. At one point she was trying to make it look like she was searching for something in her cart, when I finally looked to see what she was doing she had her phone in the drawer and was texting on it. Because she gives top quality leg/foot massages, specializes in reflexology, and is very meticulous with the painting and callus care. This business is fairly new, and is pretty spacious with around 12-16 pedicure chairs. There are different packages, starting with the standard of $25, which I only recommend if you are REALLY tight on money. I usually am tight on money, but highly recommend the Deluxe ($35) or the Rose ($45) pedicure packages. They also do waxing, facials, massages, and hair cuts/color. You are always asked if you would like something to drink, which include a variety of sodas and water. If you get the Deluxe or Rose, you may choose a glass of champagne if of age of course. I usually just walk in because I'm too lazy to make an appointment, but they can get pretty busy so I don't suggest being lazy like me and call ahead of time. The chairs are wonderful, especially if you have a back with a million kajillion knots in it. Soaps, oils, salts, scrubs, you name it. You are pampered, and with the higher pericure packages, can get a hot volcano stone massage, hot wraps around your feet, and a warm shoulder wrap filled with rice or beans that they put around your neck as soon as you sit down. H.E.A.V.E.N. If you can, try to get Holly to do your manicures, sets, etc. She will be joking and laughing with you and getting to know you the whole time, instead of awkward silence....Even if you get solar nails, they give you a mini hand/arm massage at the end, which many places I've been in the past don't do unless you get a manicure. There are always special deals, such as right now there is a Father's Day special where you and your father get pedicures and he'll get 25% off. They have glow in the dark solar nail powder, which I think is pretty cool since they are located in a college town. They have a pretty standard selection of nail polish, with maybe a few fun colors that are in style now, but other than that I suggest you bring your own color if you are extremely picky. Also, they have a free reward card that you can get and every dollar you spend is equivalent to one point. So if you spend $150=150 over time, you get $5 off, and the higher the amount you have the more money you get off, etc. Every girl, AND guy, that is looking to get pampered and get really good service, well, enough said. They didn't ask how short we wanted nails cut. When I tried to explain what we wanted on cut it was ignored. I asked for regular polish and they insisted on gel - fine, I normally get gel so I went with that (extra cost was explained). Towels were extremely hot for both of us - most salons will open and fan the towel for a moment to cool it down, not here! Temperature inside of the salon was HOT! Like nauseating hot, no air or fans on (that we could tell) My husband said his massage was not as requested - he asked for deep/hard pressure and the gentleman applied light pressure as if a child was performing the massage. My husband said he asked several times if time was up so he could be done, because the request for deeper pressure wasn't accommodated. My nails: I asked for dip nails (tip added to natural nail), shorter coffin and wanted a different color than my toes. The man doing my nails insisted I must get acrylic with gel polish - not what I wanted but after resisting, I finally gave in. Also, he refused to do a different color, kept insisting it would only look good with the same polish as my toes. Again, after disagreeing for a bit, I finally said whatever and went with the same pink as my toes. Nails lasted 2 days before they started lifting. Like ladies: don't go here unless you want to waste your money and constantly have your hair pulled by your nails. Noir Nails up the road is light years better! The owner (I assume it was her) was there. She was friendly. She seemed to really take an interest in the lady/young child she was helping.
