The crew nailed the shingles far too low, which compromises the integrity of the roof and can significantly shorten its lifespan. Proper nail placement is basic roofing knowledge, so this was extremely concerning. In addition, they reused materials that should have been replaced, which raises further questions about their standards and attention to detail. We had AVI come out 3 separate times and all 3 times they kept stating the issues was NOT theirs but would not give us a straight answer on the real issues until we had to hire another roofing company to repair their work. To add insult to injury , AVI charged us each time they came out ($500). Quality installation is just as important as quality materials, and unfortunately, that standard was not met. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this company carefully inspect the work and ask detailed questions before signing off on a project. *** 3/3/26 response to AVI about my review*** We purchased our home in December, and the roof was installed in October -- just two months before we took ownership. Within three months of living in the home, the shingles began lifting and coming off. That is not normal wear and tear, and it certainly raises concerns about workmanship. Regarding not being able to find our name -- that may be because we purchased the property after the roof was installed. The work would likely be listed under the previous homeowner's name, not ours. I would encourage you to review your October installations at that address rather than searching only by our name. Both my husband and myself have spoken to your company several times and had 4 different people on separate occasions come to our home. Not once did you mention the error with nailing the roof even though pictures show this poor workmanship. It is also concerning to hear you state that you do not warranty your work after only 2 months! A roof should last years, not months. Regardless of ownership changes, a recently installed roof failing within such a short timeframe speaks for itself. We are simply sharing our experience so others are aware. We had to hire another company to correct the issues and ensure the roof was properly installed.

I'll revise my review once I get the promised quote a few days from now and see if it represents what we discussed, is cost-competitive based upon similar materials and labor, and he follows-through with a timely, quality install and cleans up the job site after he's done. Edwin's crew came by about a week or so later and installed our new roof, vents, and a downspout. The roof was inspected by code enforcement, and he said, "They did a great job." We concur! We encountered issues with roof leaks within 6 months of moving in. Contacted these folks to see what the warranty covered, what it didn't, and wanted them to come see what we needed. Took weeks to get them out, they lied about mailing us a copy of the warranty, finally did come out, fixed something, didn't say a word to us and left. I followed up to see what needed to be done, crickets. Finally had another company come look at- he told us there were super recent repairs. Expert Exteriors then gaslit me and my husband about what happened, saying the tech (the owner I think?) spoke to my husband before he left, when he absolutely didn't. We currently, 3 years later, still have issues we've been trying to get them to come fix to no avail. Our roof leaks in several places. We probably have mold at this point. We can't get them to honor the warranty, or even just come take a look. But we also can't have another company come look and fix it... without voiding the warranty. No idea what we ever did to make them so hostile, but they did shoddy work and won't stand by it and their "warranty" means nothing - at least to us.

Yeup, within one week we had a signed contract and our roof done. We ended up spending additional money to re-do our decking... but it was our choice. What we suggest to people is do your research. Read the reviews. If they're off by a couple hundred dollars, go with Beyond Roofing. Their price quote came in high but we liked supporting a small company. The entire process from start to finish was a nightmare. Communication was horrible. They would say they are coming out to install and just not show or call. Happened several times until the finally got installed mid-December when they were supposed to be up by Thanksgiving. Now we can't get them to remove the lights. They won't answer emails or texts. Now we are going to have to pay another company to remove them. We have been extremely patient but we are all out of it now. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. We are now working with the bank to dispute part of the charges because they didn't fulfill their agreement and we have to pay another company to finish up the job.
