I purchased a used tire for $50, and within a week it went flat. I took it to Discount Tire to have it checked, and they informed me that the tire had already been repaired in three different places. They also told me the tire should not have been sold because of its condition. I returned to the tire shop and explained what I had been told. I asked if they could offer a discount or exchange the tire, but they refused to help. I was very disappointed with the lack of customer service and the quality of the product I received. OPEN ON SUNDAY!! That's a huge plus when traveling. This shop is conveniently located off the freeway. My RV was running low on air on one side. I pulled in (with a trailer) and right up to the cashier "shack". A guy was unloading tires in the back and I hollered "I need air", He said "go ahead and fill it up" and I did just that. I literally sat at this tire shop for 20 minutes, wasting my lunch, trying to spend money with them just for them to help multiple people who came after me is still not get any assistance. I don't know if it was due to the fact that I'm black, or due to the fact that they simply just did not care. The tires are absolutely horrible, and the customer service is absolutely worse. The lady at the phone quoted me $16 to remove and mount a tire, When I got there the guy said it would be $30. The place is really beat up and the service was not good at all. I waited for 45 min just to get a tire removed and replaced, I can tell you that's way longer than needed to replace a tire. The guy would remove a lug nut, go do other stuff then come remove another lug nut, and so on ... as a mechanical oriented person I could tell his tools weren't powerful enough to remove them like I've seen at other tire shops. I will not be coming back and I don't recommend it to anyone. read more

Look, a five-star used tire shop is a different kind of "five-star" than with say, a fine hotel or restaurant. I rate a used tire shop based on: 1. Selection of road-worthy tires - I have visited L&J around 6-8 times in the last 8 years with four different cars. Every time except for one, I left with the new (used) tires that I came for. 2. Price - I have SUVs with big tires (P265/70R18, and 265/70R17). I never pay more than $30-$40/Tire, fully mounted and balanced. They also mount whichever of the remaining tires I ask on the spare. 3. Speed - I'm in and out in 30 minutes or less (seriously). The longest part of the process is tire selection because I always have a hard time choosing. read more

There were other customers at the shop but they still had me waiting and waiting and said since he gave me a deal on Tires that I didn't ask for that I'll be ok!!! They are opened on Sunday, they are thorough and quick, and above all, they're honest and their pricing is fair. They operate cash only - no debit/cc, but that's not an issue for me. The customer service is subpar. The tires are terrible. They will try to get you for every dime they can. I had a tire changed on November 11th, 2019 and the tire didn't last a full week before it blew. When I took my car back to them, I was told I would have to pay to get the tire changed because once I drive off the lot the sale is final and there are NO WARRANTIES. I told the guy I didn't even have the tire a full week it's not okay to charge me again for a tire that didn't go a full 7 days before it blew. They guy responds and says "oh well, if you don't pay me, I'm going to take the tire off your car that I just changed." PISSS POOR Service, and even worse Tires. The tires they give are not good, always used and NEVER new as they advertise. I will NEVER GO BACK TO THIS TIRE SHOP AGAIN! read more

I went here to get some used tires. Supposedly they open at 8:00am. Got there at 8:12 and the gate was locked. So instead of pulling in, I drove straight so that I could go further down and make a u-turn. Coming back, I saw the guy opening the gate. I drove in and waited for him to get to me as he was still opening up. I told him what I needed, he told me it would be a while because his guys weren't in yet. No problem. I saw the sign that said cash only so I told him I'd go get cash and come back. I got the cash, ran other errands and returned within an hour. When I got back a few guys were standing around. No one greeted me or even walked over to me. I got out of the car just in case they thought the car drove itself, NOTHING. I'm like naw, I'll take my money elsewhere. So to say the least, I do not appreciate how I was not acknowledged on my second return. I don't appreciate the untimeliness of this business. Customer service goes a long way. If you're good to me, I can guarantee you I'm telling others to send more business your way. And if you're not, well, others will still know. At first I was a lil sketch about this place. It's old, dirty and grungy, but hey it is a tire shop and discount tire wasn't open Sunday. I simply needed my tires put on so I gave 'em a whirl. I probably wouldn't have if Always Affordable Tires hadn't referred them. I drive up fella checks out my tires and quickly gets me in. L&J repaired the rims on my Nissan 370Z which had significant "curb rash". Marcelo was timely and professional and explained the entire repair process. The pricing was very competitive, but most importantly, the work was excellent. We did them in a gloss black and they are as smooth as glass and have a better shine than the original rims. They did all 4 rims for what it would cost to buy one new rim and completed the repair in 2 days. I couldn't be more pleased and highly recommend L&J. read more

At the Apache Trail store I was encouraged to buy good used tires. Within 3 weeks I had one flat, one obvious bad tire, all 4 different sizes, 2 major shredded blowouts damaging rim and truck. They just said "not responsible for used tires." Or wrong sizes I guess. I went to Stalk Tire who said it was obvious I was sold very defective tires. Wouldn't give me owners name or number. Very very rude. DO NOT USE! WARNING! Stalk Tire was great and cheap and fixed truck to boot. I would recommend them but not L&J particularly in the AJ area!! read more

Purchased two used tires with serious cupping on them. Secondly, my TPMS kept flashing as a fault on my dashboard. Found out that they replaced my TPMS with a regular valve stem and no sensor. I brought it to their attention. At first, they told me to get it reset at the dealership?.. After going back there, they said my sensor fell off the time they replaced my tires. So they put another one on. They should have told me in the first place instead telling me to go to my dealership. I am only giving a bad review because I was met with rudeness, and unprofessional behavior. I cannot bring myself to go back there ever again. If I could give zero stars to write this review, I would. I guess one star will do. read more
