Love this place! Found it by accident several years ago. Old fashioned barber shop. Jimmy is the best followed closely by George. The only place I know of that actually takes care of ear and nose hair. They trim my Van Dyke very neatly. I see many not so great reviews from younger men who know what electric razor setting they want but this is a old school barber shop. Neckbeards dont seem to like it either. No, they do not play music, which I like. Usually have a TV going though. The straight razor shave and attention to details is exactly what I like. read more

I recently came back to get my haircut. They've got their act together. Lots of precautions are taken. I've been very leery of going anywhere but I trusted Kim and her team would make things work. I was worried COVID had permanently closed them. They are there folks. Give them your business. I felt very safe. Barriers between seats. Lots of sanitizing. They take your temp at the door. They sanitize your hands as you walk in. Of course you must wear your mask. She'll take appointments. Walkins within reason, availability and practicing social distancing. I'll be back. This place has very good reviews and I'd hate to make a bad one but the 3rd guy on the left, he's an older guy, messed up my hair bad. He really didn't know what he was doing. I came in to ask for a taper fade and if he didn't know how to do it, he shouldn't of tried and should have let someone else cut my hair. I'm not the one to start something and cause a seen but he knew I was very upset. Paid them and left but I will not be going back to that guy ever and no one should. He doesn't have the skill at least not for my hair cut. Fade was not faded correctly at all, my edge up is all crooked all around, and my hair is all choppy, longer on spots than the others. read more

You can cut the tension in this place with a knife. No music. No conversations. You can hear your heartbeat. The lady there was rude. Why would you give someone a haircut without them facing the mirror so they can see their hair? How bizarre! For $15, you get the same haircut you'd get at one of those $5 haircut places. read more

After almost 10 years as a loyal customer, I walked in today, sat there for about 15 minutes, and the owner, Lisa, told me to leave because they closed at 5 and didn't have time to cut my hair. The best barber in Texas! Kim cuts hair better than any other Barber in this state. The owner who also is an excellent Barber, ensures the staff takes the time to do it right, it not a supper cuts! I use to go to a fancy Barber and pay 28 bucks for a cut that was good. Now I pay 15 for a cut that is excellent, but I give Kim the extra as a Tip as she is great. read more

I have had a few straight razor shaves before and L&L provides a shave as good as it gets. I came in with a beard and they used the hair trimmers to get off the long stuff then a machine razor to get the next length and finally the straight razor shave. There was first some lotion to soften the skin and the hot towels this was done twice, the came the shaving cream and the shave this was done three times, then came the aftershave lotion and cold towels and finally a little powder. A Straight razor shave and haircut was about $30. The only thing I can say they undercharged me I think . Great place you will not regret going there. read more

I have been there twice so far and it is ok. First cut was from one of the ladies there. I get a 0 on the sides and asked for a trim on top and a blend. The sides were good but with the longer hair on top it was not faded very well with the longer hair on top. Razor neck shave and edge up was nice touch. Second time I went I was given an older gentleman who left lines in my fade. Again the neck shave and trim were good. Its not bad for 17 but nothing great either. I will keep going back until I find something else. read more

I have been to this barbershop atleast 10 times. Never had any issues. Today I went in and got a cut from the owner. As soonas I sat down she told me that I cut the back of my neck too short. Then told me I have to much product in my hair and I was going to lose my hair if I don't stop putting product in my hair. I'm 35 years old and have been using same product in my hair for over 20 years. I'm not balding at all.. she then tells me I shouldn't come to her establishment with so much grease in my hair because it ruins her equipment. I've never had an issue until today. I always tip atleast 50% of bill. She was very rude. I won't be back. I told her a low fade and she still took it high. She has horrible customer service skills. Old school barber shop, less the girlie mags and neighborhood gossip. But warm shave nonetheless. Nothing fancy here. No hair products or pretentious chicks trying to Tom Cruise your look. Just a bunch of guys (and gals) who know how to cut hair. For $15, Jimmy cut my locks, straight razor shaved my neck & face, trimmed the beard, eyebrows, nose and ears. All on my lunch break. Ok.. I am basing this review off my experience today. First, do not expect a standard barber shop. Its like Barber shop meets asian boutique. Second, I am not a fan of this turn away from the mirror trend going on these days. I like to watch what is going on while they are cutting my hair. Its far more interesting than watching an old western on a tiny screen. George greeted me and immediately had me sit. He was very cordial and polite and once I was situated he asked me how I would like my hair cut. He cut my hair and razor cleaned as it should be. Overall, the haircut was a good one and one I will probably repeat. The only downside to this place is the ambiance. Barber shop used to be a place for men to get quality hair cuts without weird frou frou stuff about. I miss those times. Also, Barber shops should accept credit cards.. Going to get cash is a hassle these days. read more

The barbers actually take time to cut your hair. They pay very close attention to detail and are willing to make sure you're satisfied with the cut. Just remember to BRING CASH! My hair is shorter. That's about the only good thing I have to say. If you don't speak Chinese, don't expect to get what you want. I even showed a picture and she came nowhere near what I asked/showed. Also for any men with a beard you care about. Don't ask for a trim. I asked her to not take anything off. Just square it up a little. Next thing I know she cut half of my 7 month old beard off!! I love barber shops. I've been to many from California to Kansas City and this has been the worst by far. Plus the atmosphere is lame. They can't speak English so no conversation and they don't even have music playing. I won't be going back. read more
