I've known Jo for years, and had seen her work online, but we don't live in Houston. The first chance I got to get my oldest son in for an appointment, I jumped at it! He is at an age where he wants as much hair piled on top of his head as possible. The problem is that the shape was out of control, so his hair never looked "done." It was a wild, curly, bushy mushroom, and I couldn't take it any longer. Jo assured my son that he'd still have ALL the hair, but the shape would frame his face better AND not look like a fungus growing on top of his head! He got the full service treatment with his cut, so he was in heaven and feeling like a grown up. The haircut was exactly what I'd envisioned. Clean, fresh and totally still "big" like his heart desired. We were both happy when Jo finished working her magic. So, yes...he still goes to his regular barber every month, but the cut he got at Jo's shop was by far my favorite and the experience made it more than just a bi-weekly haircut. The shop itself is modern, stylish and clean. There are personal touches around the shop that tell Jo's story and where her passion comes from. I have patronized this parlor for about 6 months now, and every time I go I am spoiled with tip top service for a head shave and beard trim. It's always a good laugh to chat with the masters of clip art with their razor sharp humor and strand rearrangement skills. There is a plethora of beverages available from water to various libations to enhance the relaxation and the atmosphere. Wow! What an amazing experience I felt like a new man. Kelsey cutler was so nice got right to work and mad me feel like I was important. Once I figured out where to go to get to the shop I was welcomed and made to feel like the most important client she had. Kelsey is literally the most talented stylist to ever touch my hair. She does a great job of giving me the cut that looks the best on me, even when I'm not that good at describing it to her.
