Gave this place a try during the college football kickoff weekend...Tex vs Ohio. This place is…read morelocated in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking. This place is pretty large inside. There are lots of pool tables; some are coin-op and others you rent. Depending on which table you're playing at, you might not be close to a TV monitor. There are a number of big screens inside, but nearly enough that they should be calling themselves a sports bar in my opinion. The bar is OK and the staff were pleasent enough. I tried their deep friend mushrooms. They were actually pretty good! But heads up. This place charges a mandatory gratuity of 18% on all orders with the exception of visitors coming in early M-Th. Add that on top of already high prices and you're in pretty deep. Advice: in Florida (and most states), paying mandatory gratuity charges are not actually required (or legal) and they cannot force you to pay it. If you're dissatisfied with your service, you can line out the mandatory gratuity and put in whatever you feel is appropriate. However, I've also heard that it may be legal as long as it is posted...which it was. I would have rated another star higher had it not been for the mandatory gratuity...which is the highest I've ever run into in my travels. As a single traveler, I don't feel the overall price was reasonable. So I won't be back.

Customer beware. This restaurant did an unauthorized charge to my daughter's credit card. When my…read moredaughter spoke with the owner he admitted they do charge cards additional money without the card owner's signature or permission. Searching Google Reviews I found customers who complained of the same. My daughter, who was visiting Tallahassee, went to eat at Zingales with her sister and cousin. Two women who were present at a paint with a twist event they had just attended asked if they could accompany them to the restaurant. The waiter was aware there would be 3 separate checks. My daughter and her sister had their item on 1 receipt. My daughter's cousin had her receipt and the 2 women shared 1 receipt. My daughter used her credit card to pay her bill which was $17. Her signature on the receipt should've ended the transaction between my daughter and Zingales. She later learned her card was charged $127 because the 2 women they had just met left out without paying their bill. She was told by the owner of Zingales this is their policy to charge any card used at the table even when they are not authorized to do so. Even if each party at a table has separate receipts. This is a blatant disregard for the Electronic Fund Transfer Act. A federal law which says a business Cannot take more money than what is authorized. In his response to my review the owner takes no responsibility for his illegal act. Instead he tries to justify it by fabricating a false narrative to sully my daughter's character. The facts are my daughter was visiting Tallahassee. Neither she, her sister or her cousin had any contact or knowledge of these 2 women before meeting them a short time before at a paint with a twist event. The meals at the table WERE NOT SHARED. The 2 women ordered shots for the table which you applied to their bill.

I've been going to the Leach Center since December. I was able to join because I'm an FSU alumni…read moreand my sister got a membership with me. While I love the pool, hot tub, and all of the amenities, there are serious problems. The staff doesn't know anything about the gym equipment so they couldn't help me get started. I ended up downloading apps for the exercise equipment and using them to find out how to use the machines. The machines that have the capability to have you walk down a road in a country of your choice or stuff like that aren't enabled so you can't do that. They have a bad problem with people loafing on the strength training machines looking at their phones, even though cell phones are not allowed. There is an adult swim class and water polo practice and when that's own, the majority of the pool is reserved. The college closes for Spring Break, Winter Break, etc, and when that happens, the Leach Center is closed, too. Parking is horrendous. There already aren't enough spaces, and when a game is on, they close off some of the lots near the Leach Center. I only found out after getting a citation that membership does not allow you to park in the lot for free. I had to buy a parking permit and that's $65 per semester. I wasn't told about that when I signed up so I'm looking to go to another gym after my current membership ends. I also hate that because I'm not a current student, I can't just swipe a card to get in. I have to give the person at check-in my phone number and that gets tedious.

Leach has plenty of equipment and multifaceted wellness choices in addition to staple gym options…read more Indoor pool, cardio, weight training (need to expand this department twofold), and an indoor track. I appreciate the natural lighting and the staff as well. Things that need to be improved: weight area is too small for the quantity of people here. The gym really just needs to be 24/7. The hours as they are just don't cut it.
