I had a terrible experience with L&R Roofing and I would encourage you to use ANY OTHER COMPANY but this one. The owner allowed his technician to come to my house for a suspected roof leak and NOT look at the attic of my home, where the leak was suspected. My tenant even had the ladder set up for him but he requested the tenant's photo be sent to him so he could "show his boss" and quoted me for work that was not properly assessed for repair, and quite frankly was NEVER required, an indication of unethical business practices. Later, when the roofers arrived to "repair the roof" it became evident that the roof was not damaged. As they began walking on the roof, the ceiling began leaking, indicating a plumbing leak instead and ANOTHER confirmation that they didn't do a proper assessment of the roof! In following conversations with the owner regarding my roof that was NEVER in need of repair, he LATER insisted that my tenant refused access to the attic and blamed the tenant for his technician not being able to properly assess the leaking area, admitting that a properly assessed attic would have saved the eye-gouging $3000 they charged. Additionally, after they replaced the roof, his technician told the tenants that he saw no damage to the underlayment but replaced it anyway, another indication of unethical business practices. Upon speaking with the owner he told me he would discount the job, accepting that his company did not act in good faith. However, 10 days later I was notified there was a lien on my home with no communication from the owner. Once I spoke with him, he said he changed his mind and said that I lied during our conversation and decided independently that his company had not failed to act in good faith at any point through all of these interactions. Overall dealing with this company was a terrible experience and I sincerely hope others read my comments and decide to steer clear from this company. read more

The who came to my house was very nice, but they did not listen to me. They gave me a huge quote for a small job. They never even evaluated the roof for all the repairs to make my roof in good shape. Amazing company. Caring staff and expert technicians! After we had a minor roof leak and people told us "you probably don't need to bother with a tarp" but it turned into 5inches of water IN the house, L&R we're the first roofing company open on a Sat AM and I had a patch by 2pm!! They saved my house and my sanity after staying up 38hrs trying to keep rain out! When they couldn't tarp it due to the nature of the leak, they made a patch at no extra charge. Roof replacement is no fun, you have to find a reliable and honest roofer (not easy), get a fair price in a crazy economy, pay a fortune for something you will never see, and hope the crew does a quality job. L&R finished my roof about a week ago and so far, things could not have gone better. I received the estimate in one day, I had a question about the underlayment that was answered within an hour online, the quote was online in an easy to view customer portal, I could use my credit card to pay with no fees, the crew showed up on time and was very friendly, they worked their tails off every day and finished in a few days. The crew cleaned up every day and even took the time to run a magnet around to find any nails. There was a lot of trash and debris on my shade sail over my patio and they took the time to get all of that down. Once completed, there were no surprise charges and I could easily pay my balance online with a credit card (no fees again). Lastly, it has rained once since the roof was replaced and there were no issues. I have been very impressed with L&R. read more

The L & R roofing crew replaced the underlayment on my tile roof. They did a fantastic job: they were on time, worked efficiently, and cleaned up well every day. They were quiet and unobtrusive. Luis was prompt in providing an estimate for the job. His estimate was very reasonable: he included items other companies did not, and did not charge me for items that I MIGHT have needed. In addition, his foreman pointed out questionable areas on portions of the roof they were not working on that might need attention in the future. I would hire them again. read more

When you see all the 5 star reviews for L&R Roofing you don't need to wonder why as soon as you meet Luis. When I started getting quotes to have my roof replaced I looked at reputable companies close to me. I got three or four quotes. Luis was the 2nd person I met and although his quote was the lowest, that wasn't the only reason I chose to go with L&R. Luis is friendly, professional and not at all a pushy sales person. The roof is one of the most expensive home repairs you'll have to do as a homeowner, but it is a part of home ownership. After getting the quotes in December I realized I still needed to save up a bit more before I could move forward. Shortly after I received the quote we had a heavy rain and Luis reached out to see how the roof was doing. I let him know my new time frame to having the roof work done. I knew the quote could change, but I could not move forward at that time. As soon as I knew I was able to move forward I reached out to Luis again. He let me know that the quote would be slightly higher due to his cost going up. He even provided me with a letter from his supplier stating the increase. To me this showed integrity. He wasn't just increasing the cost because I had waited. I was at work while the crew was replacing the roof, but Luis checked in throughout the two days sending me pictures of the progress. I didn't think I could get excited about getting a new roof, but I am. It looks great! Our curb appeal has gone way up. Next goal is to get the house painted so it goes with the brand new roof. Great service. Reasonable pricing. I submitted a request for a quote on repairing water damage on my roof on a Saturday and heard back from the owner within a couple of hours. He came out that day to look at my roof. I told him I was going to request other quotes and compete his business. He welcomed it. He had his crew out to my house within 48 hours and emailed me a quote with contract for service within 24 hours of that. He didn't use the damage as an excuse to try to sell me a new roof. He just provided an honest assessment and a quote for the needed repairs. I contacted a competitor (TRM Roofing) for a quote the same Saturday I first contacted L&R. That company told me they'd send someone to take a look. I never heard from them again. My time is valuable and I didn't want to waste it looking for other bids given the professionalism I saw from Luis (L&R's owner), but I still wanted the best deal. I told Luis if he'd give me a discount on his already reasonable quote that I'd skip going out and looking for other bids. He agreed and gave me a generous discount. I highly recommend this company. Took bids from the top three roofing companies in the metroplex. L&R was the most responsive and came out the following day. Luis reviewed my Scope of Work and that day i received the quote via email, which was the best quote. I submitted the down payment and was scheduled the following week. The crew came out and went right to work and did a fantastic job, i need some decking replaced, a rafter tail replaced, and new composite laid down. They used high quality PolyGlass that comes with an impressive warranty. The final invoice was emailed to me the following day and paid. All in all this company and Luis is built on integrity and customer service, they do an outstanding job of the entire business process and they will definitely be back when the tile roof portion needs to be redone. read more

I never gave anyone a 5 star review. I did for this company because they are rock solid. The reasons : of the several companies who bid on the job Luis was the only 'owner-estimator'. All the others had salesmen. Their bid was very competitive. The crew was on schedule, made minor changes that I requested with no resistance and did a great job. But there is more to the story: There was a fairly major screw up which resulted in an expensive repair, usually something like this would cause me to say something negative about the company ... but sometimes 's--t happens' and what matters is how you respond to it. I was collecting bids on the roof for a new property I just purchased on 12/18/19 to replace the underlayment & fix a leak on an original roof since 1987. Luis came on time & gave me his honest roof inspection report & explained in detail that it would be a waste of money just to fix only the leaked area. We chose L&R Roofing Solutions among 3 other companies. The estimate was fair. And since it was few days before new years, the work started on 01/06/20, Luis sent his crew with their Lead Victor & 3 other members, they were all professionals polite & cleaned everyday after themselves, work was done in 2 days. Victor and his team did an amazing job, even suggested that a side patio cover that was fixing to fall due to heavy Tiles and separation from the wall & cause injury to someone to be modified & built right with shingles instead of heavy tiles. End result was amazing. Victor matched the color of shingles with tiles color to avoid the HOA complain. I would recommend L&R Roofing Solutions to Family & Friends & I will ask my realtor to post the company name on his website. Over all I was comfortable dealing with Luis. I'm a new house owner and Luis came out within the expected time frame and took a look at my roof. All the other company quoted me to replace everything in the small area where the shingles were blown away from a previous storm. Luis came and told me that only two piece of tile was blown to the side and he just put it back for free and told me nothing needed to be done. It's hard to find honest company/people around town who won't charge you an arm or leg for just easy leg work. I was not charge anything!!
