This is a conveniently placed cafe with delicious food and great coffee. I had the BLT, it has a tiny kick and it's pretty large. I split it with another person and I was satisfied. It was really good! I also had the raspberry & cream gateau. It was $9 for a pretty small slice but it was super delicious. In quite the unassuming spot, l'imprimerie is the hole in the wall everyone needs in a world inundated with viral baked goods. Great execution, wonderful service. Cute little bakery that's a little different from most others you'd find in the neighborhood. L'imprimerie appears to me to be a classic French style bakery which sticks with the classics and does them well. The price matches the expertise in the bakes, but you get what you pay for. I wasn't especially blown away by one item but they were all undoubtedly solid. Also brought home a nice baguette with a great texture. I've been here multiple times but I finally decided to try the sandwich here today. Le poulet crudités (Juicy chicken breast, lettuce, homemade mayo, pickles and more) was so good that I regretted not trying it earlier. They got everything right - chicken breast is tender and not dry, excellent bread, and the sauce right amount of vinegar that it made my appetite going until I finished the sandwich. Stuff inside the sandwich was placed consciously so that the bread didn't turn watery from the tomato slices and it wasn't a disaster when I was devouring it. I'd start craving the pastries every few months and take a long trip down to Bushwick, but now I know of the sandwich, I know it's also going to be calling my name in the next few months! read more

Their pastry selection was various with plenty of supply. We visited at about 5pm and most options were still available which was one of the great things that impressed us. We had Figue Amandes, Le Crousti, Rewonce, Brioche and one pack of Granola. The food was overall decent with reasonable portion and price, especially the Figue Amandes (almond croissant), which has creamy filling with crispy layers. A really great bakery I've visited pre- and post-COVID. All experiences have been quick, friendly, and satisfying. The shop smells fantastic, which is always an indicator of a good bakery. It's incredibly warm inside, due to the freshly baking bread. I love the pastry display. There are so many of them that I have a hard time choosing what I want. (In the end, I always go with one of their croissants. They're buttery, flaky, and irresistible!) Every one is labeled, which is super helpful. Right now, they have a cinnamon maple latte that I really enjoyed-- not too cinnamon-y, as I feared it would be. When you order a latte, they give you a choice between regular (whole) milk and oat milk (Oatly). I'm not a vegan, but I love oat milk. I'm allergic to soy and don't care for other milk-alternatives, so it's really nice when a café offers oat milk, IMO. My boyfriend ordered their lemon poppy seed cake when we went yesterday, and he loved it. The slices are large and look like something you'd serve at a cottage core picnic. If I could make one point of improvement, it would be to offer thicker cup sleeves. I have to use two every time I get a latte to avoid getting my hand burned off. There are many amazing thing about this place, but one of the most underrated things is that they use Ithaca/Seneca milk for their espresso drinks, which is as good as it gets and higher quality than pretty much every other coffee shop in the city (even the fancy ones). It's really incredible milk. And the yogurt they sell is made by the same company. Leagues above all other yogurts, and I've tried them all. Major props for 10/10 sourcing! read more

I happened to be in Brooklyn, particularly Bushwick (a rare occasion) and decided to try L'imprimerie. I am all for supporting local businesses so was happy to check this place out. The employee was super friendly and sweet and this place 110% adheres to any COVID guidelines implemented whether it's the limit to 3 people inside or the abundant plexiglass. I got the sourdough bread (forgot the exact name for it), slice of orange cake, almond paste and poppyseed croissant, and chocolate and coconut croissant. The only two that stood out to me were the sourdough bread and the chocolate and coconut croissant, albeit I'm a sucker for all three things. On top of that, $5 for a croissant in Bushwick is a hard pill to swallow. I wish I tried the King Cake and billionaires bar instead but maybe next time if I'm ever in the area. read more

I came first thing in the morning, which for me was 9am. I ordered two sourdough loaves, light, three butter croissants and three pain au chocolats. I tried the croissants about a half hour later but they tasted dry and almost stale. The sourdough loaves were a little rubbery. The filling was perfection, slightly salty with the vegan cheese and spinach. The crust was incredible, too. -- Cremini Quiche // Another great vegan quiche from this spot. The mushrooms added a nice, savory bite and distinct texture that my partner really enjoyed. We also got an iced hibiscus tea and an oat milk latte. Both were good, but the star here is the food! They have a bacon & cheddar quiche that I want to try next time, as well as a few other vegan pastries and treats. The service is very friendly and quick, they warm the quiches up for you so they're the perfect temperature and ready to eat! Rolled up to La Bicyclette too late on Saturday and had to find another bakery nearby to buy my bread when L'Imprimerie, 15 min away, was recommended. Lines were equally as long since only one person is allowed to enter the bakery at a time. I was really impressed by the variety of offerings to choose from (savory croissants, chocolate/fruity ones, buns, baguettes, and boules). I purchased a sourdough miche ($12) to last me through the week as well as a couple of pastries like the croissant pur beurre ($3.50), pain au chocolat ($4.50) and the pain au chocolat-poire ($5). The chocolate-pear croissant was incredible, and even though I'm not a huge fan of baked fruit, the pears were a perfect, mellow complement to the slightly bitter chocolate. The pastries were deliciously flaky and buttery-- well worth the trek to Bushwick. The miche has a lovely, dark crust with an open crumb and hearty, malty taste. I've been eating it as toast, as a tartine, as a grilled cheese sandwich-- this miche will do it all and then some. Honestly my first experience here wasn't great. I had a cold brew with oat milk, there was a small amount of ice which melted quickly. The flavor of the coffee wasn't anything special. BUT this all turned around once I found my order. Oat milk honey latte and a chocolate chip cookie. I don't love sweet drinks, but the honey adds the perfect amount of earthy sweetness. Their chocolate chip cookie with sea salt is absolute perfection. Slightly chewy on the outside with a doughy indulgent chocolate chunk center. And is the perfect counterpart to the latte. I've had their butter croissant and ham & cheese croissant, which are both wonderful. They're the kind that will leave flakes everywhere, which I love. Embrace the mess and enjoy the flaky buttery joy. They serve an almond nectarine galette on the weekends, which I enjoyed but probably would have enjoyed more if it was warmed up. Moral of this review. If you went and didn't love what you ordered, give them another chance. You're bound to discover something that you love. read more

If you're like me and about to take the M train for the sexond time in 11 years of living in NYC, there'd better be a damned good reason. If you're like me, that reason would be croissants. If you're like me, those croissants would be vegan croissants. And what amazing vegan croissants these were. Beautifully flaky exteriors, layered chewy interiors and all the croissant flavours I remember from my pre-vegan days. Monsieur Gus and his team really hit all the right notes. The regular, the almond, and the chocolate almond croissants were all things of beauty, proof that we sacrifice nothing when leaving animals off our plates. If you're like me, you might not know there are two stops named Myrtle on the M line. If you're like me, you naturally get off at the wrong one and complete the journey on the bus.
