The prices are a little unpredictable, some things seemed way overpriced to me, yet other more unique and rare things seemed undervalued. So: lots of fun to look through, and some very high quality recordings, old, new, re-issues, and unique new vinyl. The shop is located in a nice shopping and dining area of Mount Royal. The shop itself is very clean, well-lit, organized, easy to navigate. They had practically every genre with both new and used vinyl available. One of the biggest issues I had was the mixing of used and new records in the same bins. It just took longer too search through since I mainly was looking for used. Either way, I still walked away with some great stuff. Everything I looked at was in good shape. They had tons of new vinyl and reissues. Easily, the largest selection of new vinyl in Montreal. I also noticed tapes (fairly small) and CDs too. They also run a discogs account where some stuff on there may not be located on the main sales floor. The staff at the counter were friendly as well. Even when I said I wasn't necessarily looking to make money, just donate to a place I like, they told me that taking my books would "burden" them... Even though that's what this place is for, selling and buying used books! I went to a bookstore further up Mont-Royal who took them. I certainly understand that they couldn't take all of them depending on the value, but it was really their dismissive and quite rude attitude that took me off guard. Not sure I'll shop there again, unfortunately.

My review is really based on vinyl records as that's what lured me in. The shop is very clean and neatly organized. They had some nice new arrivals plus several bins of rock, jazz, classical, and whatever else in between. I found one record I wanted, but a few others I already had that I otherwise would have grabbed. Prices were pretty fair. They also carried CDs, but no cassettes. Of course they have lots of books and nice area to sit and relax. Cool spot worth checking out for a little browsing.

I found the selection to be pretty good despite the small size of the store and the prices were actually not that bad. I wound up purchasing a bunch of records, including a hard to find KISS LP from the 80s which I had never seen for sale before. Overall 5 stars. Our favorite bookstore in NDG continues to hold that title. We brought some books in, donated what…read morethey wouldn't make use of, and spent far too long roaming and acquiring books. I'm always impressed by the variety. You see something new every time you go in because they offer such an impressive collection of items. We even got hockey cards for surprise gifts for family this time around! Some items are more expensive but we got an edition of The Wizard of Oz that was still wrapped and originally worth quite the pretty penny that we will be gifting to a loved one. It was an amazing experience once again today. For the first time, I think I spent more time looking at their prints and I wanted to buy nearly every Singin' In The Rain one... Hardy Boys galore... it was overall just a lot of fun to visit this store. We'll be back for our quarterly visit in no time.

If you live in the area and listen to vinyl records, you should come in here regularly…read more They have a section of newly acquired records, so once you've browsed their full catalogue thoroughly, it's easy to drop in whenever you're walking by and see what's new. They have lots of records for 5 bucks, which is something like an old movie rental price. Even if I only listen to something once, the experience is worth 5 bucks. They also have way more expensive records, like limited editions of Tom Waits or whatever, which occasionally run closer to a hundred. So there's a huge range, if you're looking to spending a tiny bit of pocket money, or if you're looking to make a major investment for your collection. They also have books. I honestly use the library for books more than buying them, but sometime when I'm in here for vinyls, something on the bookshelf catches my eye, and the prices are fair. It is packed, though. Sometimes where there are a lot of customers, it is very hard to move around and look for things. So much stuff in a such a small space is a double-edged sword. This 5-star review is for my visits outside of peak times, for the selection, service, and price. During peak times, maybe only worth 4 stars because it's so hard to navigate. But the popularity is a sign of the quality, so it's hard to quibble with that.

Don't expect to find the rarest treasures, but best bet is that you won't walk away empty handed. It's also got a decent, English used books section, which is a rarity in the Plateau. We were in Burlington last week, and decided to drive up to Montreal for a couple of days. I heard that End Mile was the "artsy" neighbo(u)rhood, so I assumed that the record stores would be a good opportunity to "ooh shop" (what my mom used to call stores where you could look, but not touch, because the items were out of our price range). Turns out their new records were reasonably priced (about $25-33 Canadian). The selection of used records wasn't vast, but it holds its own. And the hip hop section was surprisingly extensive (relatively speaking). It took me on a journey through childhood, featuring pre-Death Row Pac, Kool G Rap, RBL Posse, Tribe Called Quest, etc. And their selection of Nigerian, Turkish and French music was impressive (relatively speaking). And their classical section wasn't garbage (that's usually where most record stores are lacking). I love this place. To my dismay, I didn't have room in my luggage to take anything with me, so next time I'm in Montreal, I'll definitely be buying out the store. Au revoir.

The shop is pretty small, but clean and organized. They mix new and used vinyl which I personally dislike. They had way more new than used. I did like their listening station. The overall selection was weak. I technically bought one, but it was off their discogs page. I just picked it up there. Upon actually browsing though I walked away with nothing. The shop didn't pack any punch. The dude working behind the counter could really seem to careless people were in there. Very minimal acknowledgment. Although I was very happy with the record I grabbed from their discogs page, I was quite disappointed overall with this shop, especially compared to others I visited in the area.

Also has classic rock, pop, and disco but I didn't go through those genres. What impressed me was the density and quality of records, such a different experience than spots that are too picked over.
