This is more for the service than the products. They have a good selection, don't get me wrong, but this is in a mall,. And it's holidays. And there's a stack of grumpy people all over the mall. And it's late at night And the store is busy And it's near closing And they probably have an hour of restocking to do after closing. But, I mean, service. Greeted when we walked in, an over of products, not being overly involved, but some great suggestions when we asked. Once done with the purchase, they followed up with some future suggestions, and thanked us on the way out the door. Just great service! During the holiday season, many places we shopped merely just pushed us through / were impersonal. If you're new to L'Occitane, make sure you look for Luisa. I rarely, if at all, write reviews, but Luisa is such a kind and personable person to interact with! She's extremely knowledgeable on ALL the products (as all the lovely people here have been every time I waltz in) and will make sure all your skin care needs are addressed before you leave the store, even if you have a lot of questions (like myself). I came in looking for a hand cream since I work as a nurse and my hands are always dry and cracked, and now I'm pretty much hooked on L'Occitane. I have NEVER in my life had my skin so moisturized from head-to-toe. I don't think I can ever go back to Gold Bond's or Aveeno. Give this place a shot, there's a reason why L'Occitane has been around for so long. read more

I am a fan of L'occitane when I visited my friends in London, England. I walked into its store and opened an account there and when I returned to the states I being a diehard fan of this brand. It goes so well with my skins. I came here to replenished my supplies throughout the years. The counter help has always been friendly and knowledgeable with their products. I always have wonderful experience at this location and also its overseas locations. And today I walk in to get some more of their products lines. Pamper me pretty!!! L'occitane products is one of my obsession. This store smells so good. So romantic, so floral, so deliciously sweet! I'm obsessed! I bought my first collection at Nordstrom like a year ago. The Almond Shower Oil smells so good and that transforms your skin satin-like softness all over the body. I love to Pamper myself with high-quality products made from natural plants and essential oils. And they're Organic, paraben-free and sulfate-free.. I came here with daughter because they have my favorite ROSE scent. I was super excited!! Bought the rose scented soothing hand cream and lip balm. It was gently perfumed with a fresh, delicate and velvety scent of roses. Omg, I want the perfume too but I already got my "Jo Malone-Red roses at NM. Love at First Smell :) Overall, clean store, good CS friendly staff. This amazing store has everything from Skin Care, Bath and Body, Fragrance, Hair Care for both Men and Women. And aromatheraphy oils. You can also buy their products at Sephora, Nordstrom, Amazon or Online at their website. They have also special offers for Fathers Day. You have to come and visit this store. I used to love their products because they were made of natural ingredients. That was before the company got bought out by L'Oréal, and they changed their formula and ingredients to include dimethicone as the main ingredient. I am no longer a customer of L'Occitane; I switched to Andalou Naturals because they do not use dimethicone. read more

I absolutely love their products. I was first introduced to them in high school and would have relatives and friends pick it up for me when they travelled to Europe. Its nice to see that they're slowly opening up lots of stores and even an outlet near Palm Springs! I love their entire Verbena line and lavender and I'm somewhat impartial to the other scents. Their shea butter and moisterizers are of high quality. Recommend: verbena cooling moisterizing gel (I keep it in the fridge to slather on when I've spent one too many days by the pool.) read more

There is something to be said for standardisation. Entering any l'Occitane shop, one can expect a courteous and competent staff, high quality, availability of nearly the entire line, a plethora of testers, impeccable, elegant displays and a beautifully fragrant atmosphere. In fact, this review applies to every l'Occitane I have ever visited. They have their formula down and show no sign of slacking off. I never go to Fashion valley without paying them a visit and I seldom exit the store sans a purchase. Beside products for myself or the spouse, l'Occitane is the perfect spot for thoughtful presents that anyone will appreciate. The perfume line, interesting, diverse and whose prices belie its quality, is not to be ignored. Beside the obligatory gourmands (Terre de lumière) are gorgeous florals (Roses et reines), classic lavender, sharp citrus and verbena, the über-clean eau de l'Occitan and the beloved eau des Baux. Not much in the way of orientals but this is l'Occitane en Provence, not la Persane en Iran. Note that house l'Occitane contracts some heavy-weight perfumers, the same whose services are hired by designer and niche houses (ever heard of J'adore by Dior ?) One small peeve: the perfume line is renewed so frantically that, if you find your love, you had better stock up pronto. read more

I still love L'occitane...even though shea butter is too rich for my Asian skin....I had to get guest soaps for the guest bathroom as I am expecting holiday visitors this holiday season. My favorite are the hexagonal shaped honey bars; they come in three colors and you can stand them straight on their sides in the tub with the bee design facing out... and it fits into the decor of the room very well...the yellow one is my favorite...it is a buttery Naples yellow color...if you've ever been to Naples you'd understand why it's called Naples yellow...and if you ever go to Naples you really must have pizza...anyways I digress... My guests are going to love these soaps...happy getting ready for the holidays!!!! read more

I used the limon soap at the Four Season's in Santa Barbara and was completely hooked. It smells similiar to my Dolce and Gabanna Light Blue Fragance. Very clean and fresh! I love the scent and the way my skin feels. I have smelled other scents but; be the clean freak I am, there is nothing cleaner! I usually have a stock supply so I can give bars to my friends and I am amazed at how many of my guy friends love this soap too! read more

I think this company is wonderful. From skin care to beauty tips to environmental awareness, this purveyor of beautiful scents and products has a great thing going. Meeting Corey was a wonderful treat yesterday. He was knowledgeable and attentive which is pretty much the norm at each location. Customer service on 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica was just the same. I have fallen in love with their Jasmine Eau de Parfum. Their oils are wonderful as well. Corey gave me a lovely hand demo with their Verbena Body Salt Scrub and a blend of body oils. I would love nothing more than to outfit my life with L'occitane products. read more

I walked in on Christmas Eve being curious as I am not familiar with the brand. I was greeted by a young lady and browsed for a bit telling her I was just looking. Since I was long overdue for a face cream I asked and the associate not only made suggestions but gave me great details about different items. She offered me a sample to take home and see how it worked. OMG, this worked great for me! After just a couple of days my skin looks noticeably better! Even my makeup looks better on now! I was busy with work and could not make it back to the store any sooner but went back on NYE (same helpful girl from previous day) to get my goodies. Ready for the new year with great skin! I am aware that it is part of a chain, thank you very much. But, honestly, it perfects the authenticity feeling so well that it simply doesn't qualify as such. I love the genuinely hand made aromatherapy items. It is true "artisanship" manifested through the olive oil, lavender and verbena endowed goodies, just to name a few. Their home fragrances are so subtle and healthy due to the high quality of used ingredients that it's as good as going to a lavender field in the Provence and buying your EO directly from it. read more

I've shopped at this store for years and sometimes receive gifts from friends that aren't quite what I've liked. In the past, I've been able to go in to the store and exchange the gift for something else. I went in this morning to exchange a Christmas gift and they refused because I didn't have a gift receipt or a receipt. There was a bar code on the box and they couldn't use that information to accept an exchange. They kept repeating like robots how they have to have a receipt to scan. When I let them know that I've done an exchange in the past year without a receipt they said, well our policy changed over the holidays. Really? And they can't give their customers the benefit of the doubt or offer a grace period? It wasn't even a high priced item but they couldn't prioritize customer service over their new policy? I would like to complaint about a very disappointing experience with your webpage and then with one of your physical stores. My husband and I tried to buy a gift for his mother on your webpage on 04/29/14, but were unsuccessful on sending the gift to her address; since it didn't give us the option to ship it to her address only to the billing address (and we didn't want the free gift to go to her house... and couldn't find a way to choose to pick it up on the store either) . We both tried online in his laptop and on my desktop and couldn't do it, so we decided that I would go to the store in Mission Valley (San Diego, CA) on the next day. And so I did and there I counted my story to the clerk and asked her if she would be able to send it for me or even if there was a way that my mother-in-law could pick her gift up on any store in Virginia Beach; she said that they could send it for me for free but because it was the end of the day it would be sent on the next day, on a Thursday. Since my mother-in-lasw's birthday's would be on Monday, i figured it would be enough time to get in her house, but surprise, surprise it never arrived. I waited until Thursday to check in with the store and when I did, the same clerk -Qiana - who helped me, told me that her manager wasn't in the store, but she would be in on the next day and would be able to give me the tracking number. so next day, a Friday I called and the manager, Emmy, told me that she would call me back with the tracking number as soon as she had a chance what never happened. Today when I called, Emmy again answered the phone and promptly said that she had the tracking number and that the gift had being sent on Wednesday. Needless to say that I was very disappointed. I then looked into the tracking number she gave me and realized that the package had been sent on Friday (yes, yesterday, after I called, probably). My family has always tried to use L'occitane products because its superior quality, but this experience has been nothing more than a big disappointment. read more
