I went in for a brow lift for a big event coming up in a few days, and while there, the esthetician convinced me to get a brow tint and a lamination. I asked her if it was okay to do since I am on tretinoin, and she said yes, the only thing I couldn't do was wax, so she plucked my brows instead. During the procedure, I asked if it was meant to be burning and painful, and was told yes. We even talked about me being on tret while the procedure was happening! My brows were bright red afterward and painful, and in the morning, I had scabbing in certain spots, red skin, and they were still very painful even without touching them. I very clearly had a chemical burn. After a quick Google search, I learned you should not do a brow lamination while on tret, and I called the spa, who told me I was wrong and there was nothing done at the spa that could have given me a burn. I did not believe them, so I called my dermatologist afterward, who said lamination should not be done on tret or any other retinoids. I am attaching my text conversation below with Glow Med Spa (I cropped out the beginning, which includes personal information) during which they tried to gaslight me into believing they had done nothing wrong and that I was experiencing a "personal allergy." They changed their tune when they realized I was not, in fact, an idiot, and had spoken to a qualified professional elsewhere to further confirm. I really am not the type of person to leave bad reviews. I have never done so in my life and probably never will again. But the fact that they tried to trick me after they gave me a chemical burn is just not acceptable. The burn that they gave me is thankfully not terrible but they have not only ruined a big event for me, the chemical burn could have very easily been worse potentially scarring me, and they were happy to lie about the entire thing.

I've found this trick to be the most effective to avoid getting bit because southern mosquitoes are on a whole other level of mean. Not only does this company have some really amazing products, but they also have an online store that ships within the US making it easy to restock or try new items. While I was physically holding my personal cell phone, the salesperson aggressively took control of my device screen, scrolling through my private information at high speed, and pushing the final loan processing and authorization buttons himself through the Affirm platform to force through a total balance of $3,129.32 without my free consent. The merchant finalized this financing authorization before disclosing any return policies or forcing a rushed signature on a liability waiver. I was rushed through signing this waiver under severe duress after the transaction had already been run. The merchant operates an extensive network of shell companies to mask their identity and intentionally evade financial accountability and audits. The physical storefront is branded as 'River Sense' (117 E River St, Savannah, GA), the physical waiver lists the merchant as 'Mia Boutique / Ana Beauty LLC', and the official electronic Affirm order summary lists the merchant as 'Oak Beauty LLC VIP - Oak Beauty LLC Savannah'. Within hours of this forced transaction, my family physically returned to the storefront to leave the merchandise completely unopened, unaltered, and sealed in its original plastic wrapping, fully satisfying the 14-day unopened return window explicitly stated on page 2 of the merchant's own contract. Store employees aggressively refused to process a terminal refund, attempted to emotionally manipulate my family, and threatened to call the police to force us to retreat from the premises. The unopened items were left safely on the merchant's counter, and my sons secured time-stamped photo evidence showing the store is in physical possession of the stock. I immediately logged a formal phone report with Affirm Customer Care. Affirm's fraud prevention division must be highly credited for their exceptionally fast review; an agent named Joel immediately flagged my account for unauthorized activity, paused credit reporting, and successfully canceled the fraudulent loan balance to zero.
