Rum raisin crepe cake is out of the world. One of the best I have ever had so far. And it's not too sweet ( my highest compliment) the texture is so amazing. My mom had the durian crepe cake, and she absolutely loved every single spoonful. Will be back to try more flavors. Got it to go so didn't dine in. Nice atmosphere tho!

The good: very pretty and delicious crepe cake .. even the box was luxe looking so it elevated the esthetics... the creme brûlée flavor came through well.. there was real vanilla bean flecks throughout the cake layers. The bad: we ordered the cake for 5PM and ate it at 8PM but it was still kinda frozen in the center.. and, of course, the price is quite high...

Bayberry crepe cake This is a must!

This is the BEST place for matcha gelato and desserts. Staff is always friendly and accommodating and they change their offering very frequently- so come back often to see the new desserts. For example, check out the new bayberry crepe cake. Just perfect sweetness and fresh fruit.

Late night dessert cravings led me here, and let me tell you, it was worth it. These crepe cakes are officially my new obsession. The staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't even notice that the table we sat down at was unstable but they did and they came and moved us to one of the reserved booths. They're open 1-8pm on weekdays and 1-10:30pm on weekends Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Parking 4/5 (we went around 8pm)

Nice spacious place for dessert here. It has crepe cakes, roll cakes, ice cream and tea or coffee. It is Asian style with a heavy emphasis on matcha drinks. We shared the mango crepe cake (there's durian too!) and it was nice. Fluffy thin crepe layers with fresh mango. I liked my iced matcha drink. Refreshing on hot days. It opens at 1 pm so it is perfect for after lunch or tea time and later.

Stopped by here for dessert after a good night of chowing down. My foodie friends were quite complimentary of L'otus enough to have us come from PoCo to the Metrotown area. I definitely figured out afterwards that it was worth the effort. There is a fair amount of space for people to come in and take their time with drinks or desserts. The variety of ice creams and cakes were solid. I ended up choosing the Creme Brulee cake. I was super fascinated by the amount of layers. It very much lived up to my expectations as it was quite tasty. I had to pace myself a bit to make sure I didn't just devour it in a minute. I could have gone for another slice with how much i enjoyed it. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at L'otus. I have to come back at some point for another slice of the Creme Brulee, or maybe reluctantly try something else.

Missus rates this a 4.4/5. Her quotes: flavour is good. Machine might make the ice cream, but it was an enjoyable experience. Verdict: seating might be a pain and it is slightly overpriced, but it is definitely worth a visit! The Mille feuille cakes are a bit too thick - so you taste more "crepe" than the actual supposed flavour. Seating is somewhat of an issue (there's not much of it - maybe only 3-4 tables seat 4, but the rest seat 2 - not great for large parties), but someone left as we began looking for a table.

Delicious desserts and wonderful service. Cute little dessert shop, I enjoy the relax atmosphere.

Beautiful cakes and interior but the price is maybe not so beautiful. Pictured is the Matcha No. 2 and the Hojicha Bergamot cake. The ice cream had a pleasant matcha taste and was around $5. On the other hand, the s l i v e r of cake was $9 . It didn't really have any taste resembling hojicha and there was a layer of citrus jelly inside the cake which I felt didn't really match the flavour of the cake. However this might be a bit biased since I'm not a big fan of citrus or sour foods. I enjoyed the chocolate and nut layer on the outside im but overall I would not be going back for this specific cake. But since I am a sucker for pretty things, I would like to go back and try their other pretty cakes

How many layers is too many? We finally tried the famous crepe cake from Lotus Cake Boutique. It was hard to select one single flavour. We ended up ordering separate slices of the crepe cake, so everyone can enjoy their awesome taste of choice. [Lotus Cake Boutique] is composed of layer upon layer of tender delicate crêpes. My favourites definitely are Musang King Durian Crepe Cake 貓山王榴蓮千層蛋糕 and Uji Matcha Crepe Cake 宇治抹茶千層蛋糕. They were so soft, fluffy, super yummy and had the perfect sweetness. The cake was fantastic! I have to tell you, the flavour was out of this world. Lotus Cake Boutique opened a new location in Burnaby. It was a few blocks away from the Metrotown Skytrain Station. It's located at 4352 Beresford Street near the Metropolis at Metrotown area. Dessert: 5/5 Must Try! Service: ‍‍‍‍4/5 Kids: 3/5 A-OK for kids Price: $100-$150 (average $12-$14 each slice of crepe cakes) Presentation: 3/5 Parking: 2/5 parking behind the store or street parking in the neighbourhood Tips: * should go early if you want to try out their popular crepe cakes (including matcha, durian, or earl grey). * can pre-order through the Messenger in Facebook , call the store, or DM in Instagram. * should place your order two days in advance if you want a whole cake order. Would I Return: Yes ‍ for special occasions

Second location for the crepe cake boutique originally in Richmond. L'otus is famous for their 15-layer mille crepe cakes. This new location is larger than their Richmond store. For crepe cakes, we had chestnut, lychee & rose, matcha, and strawberry ... all were super yummy! I also tried the matcha + brown sugar pearl drink, which was also very good. Besides crepe cakes and specialty drinks, they also offer other types of cakes (roll, shortcake, etc.), as well as a variety of gelato. The staff was very nice and friendly. They are currently offering 10% off all orders as a soft opening special. Visa/debit/cash are the accepted payments (no Mastercard). Definitely worth a visit if you haven't been to L'otus yet.

I have come here three times already. It was excellent! The interior design was very attractive, comfortable and upscale in terms of a matcha restaurant. The owner has put a lot of effort, time and energy on running this matcha shop and aimed for success. Since I have been here three times, they have updated their menu from a more simple version to a nicer one. Most of the items on the menus are the same. We tried their matcha beverages, parfait, shortcake, and crepe cakes. All of us loved them. This is the best shop to eat matcha products in Vancouver other than the ones we had in Japan. Most of the customers here were female. There were a few guys but they were tagging along with thegirls. This restaurant is a good option for girls date, dating, and friends gathering. Servers were friendly and they were trying to be efficient because there were a lot of customers in house and those who bought takeout. I would highly recommend this matcha dessert restaurant to others. The only concern is parking is limited in this neighbourhood.

It was a huge hit with everyone! The 6 inch cake was $69 and I added a customized birthday message on chocolate for an extra $3 which was a nice personal touch. They also offer a gluten free option for an additional $10 which is great for accommodating different dietary needs. One thing to keep in mind is that you'll want to order online well in advance because their cakes sell out quickly. I can definitely see why. They're fantastic! I'll be ordering from Gary's Patisserie again for future celebrations.

Have seen Gary's fresh mango cakes all over IG and with my Dad's recent birthday I convinced my…read moresister to order one, instead of our usual mango cake from Saint Germaine bakery. Gary's only allows to order the fresh mango cakes up to one week ahead to ensure they have enough ripe mangos, which I admire their dedication. We ordered the 6 inch cake for 9 people (7 adults and 2 kids) and everyone got a thin to average slice. The cake is definitely prettier than the other fresh mango cakes on the market, has a lot more mangos that are perfectly ripe and sweet, there is less wipped cream, and the sponge cake is softer. The family agreed that Gary's has the best fresh mango cake but at $69 for a 6 inch cake, versus $43 for a 6 inch mango cake from Saint Germaine, a cake from Gary's is definitely a treat and for special occasions. Is Gary's worth the premium price? I think so but not everyone in my family agreed. One thing to note: Gary's do offer cake in a jar that's $8.50 each. When we went, they had a BOGO deal with the mango cake jars. My nephew asked my sister to buy the BOGO deal knowing that the 6 inch cake was not going to be enough, as the kids like having a second slice of cake.

So glad i finally decided to. Cozy cute cafe where you can study and bring your labtop/ introvert friendly or quick catchup with the girls / cute coffee date etc ... The cafe is currently participating in the hot chocolate festival too but i ordered a matcha latte along with a cruffin apple cheesecake and ooo it was so delicious and bouncy airy. The center had fresh bits of apple and there was a creamy cream cheese filling and you get this texture that's a combo of crossiant and muffin .. if you love apple or even caramel etc i think it would really suit your pallette. I will order some pastries to go next time when i have more time. Staff is super friendly and patient. They handled the loads of questions i had. Super clean place too. Free parking upfront and there's parking downstairs too.

I found they offer soccer themed cake which was very cute.

Over the past year and a bit this has become one of our favourite breakfast places. But it is more…read morethan just a place for breakfast or brunch. It is also a fantastic spot to work if you wanna have a café setting because their pastries and bake goods are absolutely fantastic. In fact last year for Christmas, we bought one of their Christmas cake options which proved to be super popular with the family. What I love about this location is the decor. On one side it is a simple industrial warehouse. But it has that post modern feel with all of the live plants. The live plants is what I love and the tall ceiling for the plants to fully grow. Though if they are looking for something else, which could really bring this to the top, it would be to have a fish tank. A fish and or water feature around the massive plant island in the middle of the dinning area would be chefs kiss. Of course, what about the food? From here, I find the food here is excellent. Sometimes the flavour combinations are a little weird. But that's typical for the Vancouver foodie scene. Vancouver food scene is a fusion hybrid of local ingredients mixed with traditions from cultures from other places around the world. But the bottom line is the portions are a good size. The platters in particular are large and would feed a very hungry person. You definitely get your moneys worth. You don't get much table service once you are done with your order. But that is all right because of it size and volume for the amount of people who come through. I am totally happy with the self serve station, which could be enhanced and the large setting with all of the very mature plants. If I would offer advice to anyone it would be this. If you are going to be there on the weekend arrive before 9 AM. People start lining up at 10 to 15 minutes before the store officially opens. Plus I find is easier to take the street parking rather than playing with Faith trying to back out with customers who are not paying attention.

I did get a spoonful of the glorious whipped cream on top of my daughter's mango croissant. $8.50 Heaven. We thought it was worth every penny! We didn't mind a bit waiting for our specialty lattes but the flavors were underwhelming. Snow Velvet Latte $6.20 Double shot espresso, regular milk, vanilla syrup, velvet cream, cocoa dusting. My iced 16 ozs dark chocolate mocha was also not a memorable one.
