The appetizers was Courgette flowers (Zucchini Blossoms) with ricotta cheese inside; there was this acidic mouse in the middle - a very refreshing and delightful dish! I don't see courgette much in the US so I'm glad I tried it. For the mains, we had the local trout and the braised pork cheeks with polenta. The trout was fresh, and paired nicely with a variety of different veggies. The stew was very warm and hearty and also not too salty. For dessert, we tried the tiramisu which was tasty but nothing to write home about. The waitress that served us was very friendly as well! Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommend trying it on your trip to Nice :)

My wife also got the chocolate mousse dessert. Overall the food was okay. My wife's entree was probably the better of the two. Ambiance - Small local restaurant. Tables squeezed next to each other with very little space in between. One unisex restroom. I did not use it, as our hotel was very close. I washed my hands at the hotel before coming here. Duck liver, something egg and the tuna tartare. I tried all of them and they were spectacular. Even the liver which I do not generally like. The break basket just keeps getting refilled all night long. So don't worry about leaving hungry. For my main meal I got the fresh lobster linguini. Let me tell you.... I was never a huge fan of lobster but my mom grew up in Maine so I've reintroduced myself to it these past few years. Maybe I just grew up eating sh*t Lobster. When prepared right it can really knock your socks off. For desert I got the Nice Coffee. This was espresso, lemon sorbet and a cookie. A really great combination. Also, English being my second language - I can see how a lot of times the way they speak may sound rude - but they're really not trying to be rude and a lot of it can be lost in translation. They had all day breakfast so hubby ordered the English breakfast which came with either fried eggs or plain omelette, a pile of bacon, some Swiss cheese, and toast. I got the chicken sandwich which came with fries. It was like a quadruple decker - stacked so high it was definitely messy to eat. But it was delicious with crispy fried chicken, bacon, hard boiled egg pieces, fresh spring mix and arugula, tomatoes, Swiss cheese and some other stuff I might be forgetting. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. Everything was so good that we came back again the next morning for breakfast. Another thing to note - they will not present you with the check until you ask for it (again, that's just how the French do things) so if you're in a hurry, ask for it when they deliver your food. The prices were very reasonable considering its location being (right in front of the beach) and the quality of the food. We would definitely return if we're in the area again.
