Customer service or loyalty? Where?…read more As a person that has spent a career analyzing businesses, I have been excruciatingly patient of the flaws of this place for a while. I returned because it's location is convenient but my money and time are better spent elsewhere. I'm sure yours is too! Nail's aren't cheap! Save your tip money they don't care if you tip generously-you'll still have no loyalty from them. From broken nails to wayyy to over laid acrylic, not being listened to, I'm embarrassed that I kept going. I have been coming to this salon for over a year. While the quality of work is OK, the business itself is run on the fly, poorly and disorganized. When you say something or even moderately call something to their attention they begin speaking Vietnamese (very obviously and uncomfortably speaking about you), or worse Marcus their English speaking employee bad mouths the customer to whomever is in front of him. I've seen so many poor attitudes in this salon. I wish I did not feel compelled to have to write a negative review but I think loyalty as a customer is not rewarded. They won't remember if they've had you waiting 15 minutes or an hour and you will never feel prioritized. In the end I can just go to Venetian or any other quality salon. My best relevant advice don't be like me and tip +20% they will NEVER remember it or care. Not returning.

A few days before my appointment, I contacted the owner directly to make sure they could do the **specific nail design and colors I wanted**. I sent him pictures of the design, and he confirmed that they could do it. I specifically asked again if they had the **dark navy blue cat-eye color with gold**, as well as the **chrome/cat-eye gold color for my pedicure**, because I did not want to arrive and be told they didn't have the colors or design--as unfortunately happened to my daughter at another appointment. The owner assured me everything was available and told me the service would take approximately **2 1/2 hours** for the manicure and pedicure. Based on that confirmation, I made the appointment and came prepared for the exact service we discussed. Unfortunately, when I arrived, **the owner was not there and apparently had not properly communicated my appointment, design, or requested colors to the staff**. There was also a significant language barrier, and no one initially understood exactly what I had discussed with him. I spent approximately **15 minutes with Celine trying to figure out together what I had requested**. I want to be very clear that **Celine was patient, kind, and did her best to help me**, and I appreciate her effort. My concern is not with her. My concern is with the **lack of communication and professionalism from the owner/management**. I don't come to a professional nail salon expecting a $10 eyebrow appointment. My services totaled **$227.55 including tip**, so I expect the communication and preparation to match the level of service and money being spent. If a customer sends pictures, confirms specific colors and designs in advance, and receives confirmation that the salon can provide them, that information should be communicated to the technician before the customer arrives. I am not someone who likes to negotiate over prices, and I am happy to pay for quality work. What I expect in return is **professionalism, preparation, good communication, and respect for my time**. Celine deserves recognition for being patient and trying to make the experience work. I got a pedicure and a dip manicure. Unfortunately, I felt like there was very little attention to detail throughout the appointment. I found myself having to point out a few steps that were being skipped, which made me feel like I had to supervise the service instead of just relaxing. For the pedicure, the polish color I originally chose wasn't applying well, and instead of suggesting another option, more and more coats kept being added. It ended up being so thick that I finally asked to switch colors. Once we changed it, it looked much better, but I wish that had been suggested earlier instead of continuing to layer the polish. The dip manicure turned out okay overall, but it's much thicker than I prefer and doesn't look very natural. I also wasn't asked about the length I wanted, and a few of my nails are filed a little lopsided even though I requested an oval shape. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but it wasn't great either. I was hoping to find my new neighborhood nail salon, but I left feeling like I had to pay close attention throughout the appointment rather than trust the technician.
