Went to this, little, hole, in, the wall, today for lunch. A, little, Mexican, place located, in the, heart of Westminster. Let's begin Entering this, place I quickly noticed that there's alot of merchandise to see and organized, in a clean fashion. I can n tell that the owners care about the business simply by seing how the place runs. Well I ordered a chicken The cook was friendly and courteous. Didntvwait long for my order (about 8 minutes) Cashiers were nice and professional. Very good frist impression of this little place. Buritto was good with good flavors. The green tomatillo hit sauce really complemented thr burrito. In recap Cleanliness of market is very high. 4 stars Staff was, friendly and, professional 4 stars Foood( burrito) Very good for what it is (beans, chicken, rice, onions and cilantro) 4 stars I will definetly be back next time I'm in town to try other foods. Bon appetit

" Best Elephant Ear Pastries " I went to the La Aguila Market in Westminister, CA and purchased a container of Elephant Ear pastries. I have purchased these pastries in many Mexican stores before, and these I had at La Aguila were so good ! They had a very rich sugar taste and were cooked crispy the way I like them. This market also has a meat counter and Mexican food specialties.

Tacos were $2.50 like most of the other trucks/stands that I've been to in the area and super good. I also liked that they cucumbers with some sort of salsa on them instead of just plain cucumbers I liked both the cabeza and the pastor a lot, but suadero was the one that stood out to me the most compared to previous tacos that I've had. Def recommend giving suadero a try if you haven't yet! Two of my friends tried it for the first time and liked it a lot. Only thing that would've made it better is if the pastor taco came with pineapple

Sometimes they'd be there, sometimes they'd move, sometimes they'd get shut down by the cops lol. Now they've upgraded to a truck and have actual hours, so definitely check their Instagram before heading over because they post their schedule and specials there too. The tripas extra crispy are FIRE. That's easily my favorite thing here and what keeps me coming back. I usually get tripas and asada, then occasionally switch it up with pastor. The asada is good, pastor is okay, but extra-crispy tripas is the move for me. One thing that puts this place higher on my taco list is the sauces. I actually like all three of them, and not every taco spot can say that. Give me good meat AND good sauces and I'm happy. They keep the menu pretty simple but have things like nachos, quesadillas, burritos and different specials. I've seen $5 tortas and discounted tacos depending on the day. Their aguas frescas have consistently been good too. They used to be cash only, which wasn't exactly a problem considering you're literally standing in front of Bank of America lol, but they take Zelle now too. My only question mark is the portion since moving into the truck. On my most recent visit, it seemed like I got noticeably less meat on my tacos than I used to. I've been here enough times without that problem that I'm not holding one visit against them yet, so we'll see if that was just a fluke. Grab your cilantro, onions and sauces and you're good to go. I've been back plenty of times and I'll keep coming back. Extra-crispy tripas, all three sauces and an agua fresca -- that's my order.

We started doing a game where we'd pick something random on the menu, just to see if it was a miss. That's how good everything is here. From the carnitas plate, to the tacos a la cart and the Camerones that remind me of the day my husband proposed to me after a day in Bajamar. The service is also everything - they've got a great team dynamic and always seem to be talking about what's next in the kitchen, what needs to be prepared or what to turn over and make fresh. The cherry on top has to either be the custom made salsa bar or every single Mexican soda you can think of. Dine in, outside or takeaway. The ambiance is really all because of the food and how it feeds your belly and soul.

Today I just got my favorite snack - Asada Fries modified to beans instead of meat. I use 7 to 8 of the fresh salsas from the salsa bar, to complement the great flavors and textures. Everything here is delicious, you can't go wrong. Enjoy!

Taquería Mexico: The Incredible Shrinking Taco…read more I remember when this place had lines out the door. Cinco de Mayo, I'm craving tacos, I show up expecting chaos. There's 3 people ahead of me. Jackpot, right? Wrong. They move so slow that a line forms behind me anyway. 15 minutes later I finally order: 2 carne asada, 2 al pastor to go, onion + cilantro on the side, salsa included. $2.65 each, FYI. Get home, crack open the foil, and... are these tacos for ants? I'm not crazy, so I did what any rational adult does: pulled out a food scale. Three tacos, weighed the meat. All came in at _under 1 oz_. Normal tacos run 1.5 oz. These are missing a full half-ounce of dignity. I usually need 2-3 bites per taco. These? One bite. I tested it. Slid right in like a communion wafer. Flavor? Aggressively mid. Carne asada tasted like it gave up halfway through cooking. Pastor was just... there. Nothing offensive, nothing memorable. Like a beige PowerPoint slide. Sides? Salsa bar? Pickled onions, grilled jalapeños, radishes? Nah. This place is a desert. You get foil, meat confetti, and the crushing realization that $2.65 bought you disappointment. Now I know why the line died. Taquería Mexico isn't even phoning it in -- they hung up. Orange County really is the undisputed champion of mid tacos. I live 1 mile from the LA County line and I'm forced to cross it like a taco refugee. Sad, because I _want_ to support brick-and-mortar spots. But not when they're actively shrinking my dinner. Giving them 3 stars on Yelp because I was raised right. Real score: 4.8/10. The pics on their site are pure fiction from 2012. Don't believe me? I took a pic of the meat on my scale as evidence. CSI: Taco Division. Do better, Taquería Mexico. This is shameful.

Typical taco food truck menu I would say but they do have 2 separate bars: one for the sauces and the other is for the veggies and they have plenty of it plus it well clean and well stocked up. Service is nice and friendly, not bad for waiting. Ordered a burrito ($11) with 1/2 marinated pork (which is quite good), and 1/2 with tongue (interesting, not bad but I wouldn't do it again for the burrito, for taco - yes) w/o cheese & bean - basically meats w/ rice and everything else. The portion is quite HUGE, 2 people can finish w/ that for sure. Overall, it was very tasty burrito w/ a lot of condiments, she even gave me grilled onions with it l, which are sweet & delish. Glad that I decided to stop by to give it a try. Will definitely come back for more.

I will say the truck itself is placed at a pretty dark corner of the street with some transient people nearby. Just an observation, nothing to do with the food or service. The service was fast and everything went smoothly when ordering, this place takes card if you don't have any cash. I ordered 1 al pastor burrito, 3 lengue tacos, 1 pastor taco, 2 tripas, and 2 cabeza. The order took about 10 minutes to complete even though I was the only customer. The self service bar had everything you needed, 4 separate sauces, cilantro, onion, radish, cucumber, limes, and pickled onions, jalapenos, and habaneros. I took it to go to eat at home and after the 10 minute drive and walk into my apartment everything was still super hot and smelt amazing. The pastor is some of the best I've had in a while, super flavorful and juicy. The lengue was tender, the cabeza almost had a tallow flavor, and the tripas was crispy. All excellent choices in my book. The sauces were spicy, however, in a blind taste test I don't think I could distinguish between any of them. Visually they were distinct but the flavor profiles were all very similar. Still good salsas overall, but if you're a diehard verde vs roja kinda person there really wasn't a difference in my opinion. Definitely worth trying out, hard to stand out too much with the multitude of taco shops/trucks around, but a good choice overall. Al Pastor has to be the highlight of the meat choices. Also Tuesday they offer 1.50 on a select choice of meats. For 1 burrito and 8 tacos my order came out to a little over 33 with tax, good bang for your buck.
