Best street tacos in the OC by far! This place has super fast service and the price is right. That's the only thing I've had here but will try the burrito bowl next time. Parking can be a little hectic at lunchtime so get here early.

I stopped by Taqueria Mexico because it has been a reliable spot for years and I always enjoy visiting places that feel like true neighborhood staples. This one has been around for a long time and still draws a steady crowd. They used to be open twenty four hours, which was a huge perk, but even now it remains a go to choice for quick and flavorful tacos. I ordered their street tacos, which continue to be some of the best I have had in Orange County. They remind me of tacos I have eaten in Mexico. They are small in the perfect way, two or three bites and you are through the taco, which is exactly what a good street taco should be. The meat has a rich and savory flavor that stands out right away. The red sauce is bold and adds the right amount of heat without overpowering the rest of the taco. The staff here is consistently friendly and welcoming, which adds to the charm of the place. Service moves fast even when they are busy. Inside, the space has that classic street taco shop feel. It can get crowded, especially during peak times. The only thing I would like to see improved is a little more attention to cleaning the tables when the rush hits since you sometimes have to sit at a spot that was not wiped down yet. It is not a major issue but it is the only reason my rating is four stars instead of five. Overall, Taqueria Mexico is excellent and remains one of my favorite spots for authentic street style tacos. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a simple and flavorful meal that feels true to the roots of Mexican street food.

I have came here a bunch of times ever since I started dating my boyfriend. He was the one that introduce me to this place. This place is amazing for lunch and dinner. Today, I got the only meat burrito that comes with any meat of choice, beans but I didn't get it today, cilantro and onions, cheese I didn't get it today. They fill up your burrito really good. They also have sauces on the side red sauce and green sauce along with the lemons. I also tried their pineapple juice before and it was delicious. The service was fast & employees are very nice and friendly. The store has a great atmosphere, spacious, and clean. Plenty of parking. I would definitely come back here for their delicious burritos & want to try their tacos as well.

2 stars only for flavor. Their tacos and burritos are very good. They just absolutely are not worth $2.40 for a 3-4" taco and $13+++ for a burrito. Been a weekly monthly customer since 1989 (was 2-3x a week when it was affordable for what you ordered) when they opened. Way over priced now. You can't get your own peppers and carrots now etc.

This is a hole in the wall taco place and as authentic as you get besides food trucks or street taco stands. They have tacos, burritos, quesadillas with your choice of meat and cilantro, onions and or cheese as a toppings. They used to have an open salsa bar which was great now you have to ask for sauce, jalapeño etc the staff seem reluctant to give them to you. There are not a lot of parking in front and sometimes there is a long line.

Smallest burrito for $11.00 at a taqueria ever...

Went back to give these guys another chance and got another tiny burrito for 11.00. I'm sorry but this place used to be the go to and now they just keep raising the prices and giving you less. Sad that this is happening to the local spot. Off to the next taco spot

If you are looking for an inexpensive taco, this place has you covered. It was everything I was expecting it to be. Also, super quick! Line was out the door and it only took 5 min to get to the front. Tacos: they were decent, got them plain so I can really taste them, meat was cooked and seasoned well and the tortillas were just the right size. Not big, but also not extremely small. It was a two biter for me lol! Burritos: (not pictured) here is where it lost a star, the tortilla were from Sam's Club. It was the Sam's Club brand so it tasted really processed. I was super bummed since the tacos were so good! Beans and Rice: (Not Pictured) beans were not refried, they were Beans De La Olla. Not my preference, they are still kind of firm and not super mushy so that was a plus. The rice was basic, not horrible but also not super amazing. Over all, I will be back for tacos, not much else.

He took our orders on his computer order system. But then he came back and said it didn't register so needed to redo some of our orders. He then told us his shift was ending and another girl would be taking over service of our tables. Then the food started coming out. Some plates we didn't even order. Some plates were extra plates of what we ordered. Tortillas came with the plates and I ordered corn tortillas, but they gave me flour. I asked for corn and returned the flour. The server said he has to charge me for it. I asked why? I didn't get what I ordered. I shouldn't have to pay extra for something I'm supposed to get, but didn't. He initially didn't understand, but finally got it. Food was good. One person's carne asada was burnt and tough, but others said what they ordered was good. Glass of wine was a bit skimpy for the price. Then the bill came. We triple checked the bill to make sure we weren't charged for anything we didn't order since there were so many plates that came out that we didn't order. Turned out a plate of chile verde was on the bill that we didn't order. Had our new server take it off the bill, but the automatic 18% gratuity didn't change. It was based off the original total because she took off the cost of the extra charge as a discount not a deleted item. The bill was finally cleared, but it should not have been so much work for us to make sure the bill was correct. In the end, consensus was the food was good, but the service was dysfunctional, between the multiple mis-orders and multiple requests for napkins, utensils, tortillas, and chips and the questions about the bill. Maybe okay for smaller groups or if you do go with a larger group, ask to do separate bills.

Even their regular price is still very reasonable. There was definitely a line around 6pm but it moved quickly. Love that they also have a self service taco condiments bar and area on the side of their truck where you can top your food with the freshly sliced or pickled veggies/chilis and slather on various taco sauces to your heart's content. Especially loved that they use a rotating gyro style meat grill for some of their meats. I also noticed they had another truck/van parked nearby where one of the staff would go to replenish some of their supplies for their taco truck. What an efficient way to keep up with demand by having a mobile/secondary vehicle that you can use for storage of stock to keep up with the high demand. I loved all the street tacos that I tried: carnitas, fried fish filet, al pastor, carne asada. Flavorful and done right! Definitely recommend this spot any day of the week when they're open, but especially for their Taco Tuesday specials.

We learned that the owners here are the original cooks and siblings of the late owner of the first location, which made the experience feel even more meaningful. We ended up ordering a burrito combo, a chile relleno combo, a hard taco and enchilada combo, two taco combos, and a few horchatas. The portions are definitely generous, and everything we tried was packed with flavor. The restaurant itself is clean, spacious, and has plenty of seating, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. While we were waiting for our food, one of the owners came over and chatted with us about the restaurant's history. He shared that after the original owner passed away, many of the longtime cooks and staff decided to come together and open this new location, continuing the recipes and traditions they had been serving for years. Hearing that story, along with the genuine warmth and hospitality we experienced, made us appreciate the restaurant even more. It's not often that you find great food paired with such sincere customer service. They made us feel like regulars from our very first visit.
