Chicken Quesadilla extra cheese lol where is the cheese ?
    Ebony G.

Ordered a chicken quesadilla with extra extra cheese and one fish taco. My total came out to around $22.65. Fish taco: 10/10 very delicious and rather large. Chicken quesadilla: 7/10 the chicken was flavorful and the quesadilla itself was good but it barely had any cheese. I literally paid for extra cheese. I love my quesadillas cheesy so I was highly disappointed by the lack of CHEESE. Customer service : 10/10 Red salsa: 10/10 Green salsa: 8/10 Based on my experience I probably would only come back for the fish tacos.

I'm back and so is Mamma!! She owns this spot. Let me taste what's popping since mamma is back and sons are gone! I'll let you know..... Thank you mamma for taking the reins back!!!! Super yummy food with great customer service! The food is delicious because I keep coming back. However, one employee treats their sauce like it's gold. I always got sauce for free to go and then all of a sudden he decided he wanted to start charging me. Sometimes I get charged, and sometimes I don't. It's very frustrating because they only except cash. There was a female employee that used to work there during the day. I haven't seen her for a while, but I wish she would come back. She was awesome!!!

    Carnitas tostada with added guacamole

I ordered a carnitas tostada and added guacamole in it... I ordered it to go, it was very generous, service was pretty quick. Location is pretty small and all tables were taken... it wasn't loud but it wasn't quiet either. I saw that they are known for their fish tacos hindsight I wish I ordered that but I will next time so I will be back and I highly recommend the tostadas because that's the only thing I tried.

I've driven past this place so many times around Garden Grove. It looks like a small, quiet shop from the outside, but it's actually not quiet at all. It's right next to a Shell gas station. Once I went inside, I noticed the restaurant was clean. They claim to have the best fish tacos in oc, so of course I had to order them -- and yes, they were really good. The shrimp and beef were also delicious. Honestly, I liked everything I ordered. I don't eat Mexican food very often, so I can't really compare what's the best or not, but after trying this place, I really liked it. The portions are very big -- the pieces are huge. It's honestly hard to finish everything by myself. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was clean. I would definitely come back.

    Cheese quesadilla 10/10

The best fish tacos! They really are the best in Orange County. The fried fish has a crunchy texture with the batter. The cabbage was very fresh, and the cream offered a complimentary creaminess to the taco. Really good fish taco. I keep thinking about those. The food was so fresh too! Came out piping hot. You know they just made it in the back. Love that! The fish tacos are killer. 10/10 Cheese quesadilla 10/10 Perfect amount of cheese! The tortilla was grilled nicely. That is a solid quesadilla! This surprised the heck out of me. This place is known for their tacos. Not the quesadillas. The cheese quesadilla was one of the best I have had recently. I wish I could get that again. This place needs to expand and open more locations. Service was good. They make everything fresh when you order it. There is a small wait, but worth the wait for sure. I can see why they are rated the best fish taco in Orange County. That title is well-earned.

It's amazing that this taco shop has been around since 1988 and I've never known about it until now. Especially since they're advertised as the best fish tacos in OC and I love fish tacos. The place reminds me of the hole-in-the-wall taco shops I used to go to all the time in San Diego. We came on a weekday afternoon so it was quiet and the service was quick. We tried a Fish Taco ($5.50) and Carne Asada Taco ($4.75). Their tacos are larger than typical tacos. The carne asada was flavorful and they packed a lot into the taco. The fish was crispy and had a tasty sauce but a lot of cabbage. We also got a three taquito combo ($12) that came with rice, refried beans and chips, but no drink which is a shame. The taquitos were good but would be better if they used real guacamole instead of avocado sauce. Overall the food is good and I would eat here again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. Wish they had more locations in OC.

Amazing! Delicious fish battered tacos and spicy red sauce. Cant just have one. Fish tacos are made fresh and come out hot. Location is clean and employees are friendly. Highly recommend this spot.

The best fish taco in OC. You got to try their fish taco when you are in OC. If you are for taste, this is a place.

TL;DR: Almost skipped this because of recent reviews. Glad I didn't. Solid food, big portions, fair prices, and friendly service. We'll be back. Anyway, here's how our visit actually went... The recent one-star reviews almost kept me from trying this place, which would've been a mistake. I'm in Anaheim a few times a week, and this spot has been on my radar for years. Easy to drive past, but it's popped up on enough "best tacos in OC" lists that I finally stopped in with my husband for the first time. I always check Yelp by "Newest first," and the recent negatives all started to sound the same..."small portions," "too expensive," "rude staff." Maybe just a run of bad experiences, maybe something else, who knows. But they didn't quite line up with the stronger, more detailed reviews from regulars, so we decided to go see for ourselves. We came around 6:30pm on a Monday. Plenty of parking, very clean inside, and a super cute covered patio out back. Only two people were working that I noticed at first, but they were clearly hustling. The guy who took our order was friendly and efficient. We ordered two fish tacos, a carne asada taco, and mini nachos. Wait was about 10-15 minutes, totally reasonable for made-to-order food. Carne asada taco was good, nachos were solid (cheese was a bit cold, but that's pretty typical for nacho cheese sauce right after serving). The standout was the fish tacos. I'm pretty picky here because most places are disappointing with either greasy, soggy, bland or otherwise just not good fish, so my expectations are usually low. Shoutout to San Diego for excellent fish tacos...But we're not in San Diego, we're in Anaheim and these were very good. The fish portion was huge, nearly the length of my iPhone and thick, not skimpy at all. It was still hot by the time I got to it, crispy without being greasy, and balanced well with cabbage, pico, large lemon wedge and white sauce. I couldn't finish it only because I was full, not because I wanted to stop eating it. My husband happily finished the rest. On price, we paid about $23 total for both of us and left full, which honestly feels more than reasonable these days. Try getting a filling meal for under $12 a person at most quick service or fast casual spots right now, it's tough without some limited-time deal or app reward. I'd much rather spend it at a local business on food that's actually worth it. Service-wise, we had no issues. A woman came through the patio to tidy up some tables during our meal and was friendly and smiling, and when I brought our tray back inside, she thanked me and we chatted for a minute. So the "rude staff" comments didn't line up with our experience at all. Overall, this is a really solid taco shop. In a crowded OC taco scene, it easily lands in the exceeds-expectations category for me. We'll definitely be back.

Stopped by for some fish tacos to-go on a week night and was really impressed! The prices were very reasonable, especially for the portion sizes. The fish tacos were fresh, flavorful, and packed with perfectly seasoned fish. Everything tasted freshly made and still held up great for carry out. I also loved the salsa packaging, super convenient and mess-free. I tried both the red and green salsa, and both had a great spicy kick with lots of flavor. They were well seasoned and paired perfectly with the fish tacos without overpowering them. The packaging kept everything neat and fresh during the drive home, which I really appreciated. I'll definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu!

My husband had been wanting to try this spot, known for having some of the best fish tacos in the OC--and we finally did! We ordered four fish tacos, one chicken hard shell taco, and a horchata. The cashier have an efficient system--taking orders and quickly getting them out to a small island counter for dine-in customers. The total came out to about $36, which felt a bit pricey. It's a small place with limited indoor seating and a few tables out on the patio. The patio is charming with cute decor--definitely Instagram-worthy. The fish tacos were delicious--lightly battered, crispy, and especially tasty with the green sauce. We'd definitely come back for the fish tacos, but probably on a Tuesday for the deals.

Literally a tiny hole in the wall shop! They have a variety of food on the menu but I only tried their fish tacos! 10/10! The exterior was hella crispy and freshly fried. Fish wasn't overcooked and perfectly flakey. Also portions are huge. I was full with 2 tacos. Definitely coming back when I'm craving fish tacos again.

After 30 years, this will be my last visit to Los Cotijas. First, a few facts: 1. A single small taco is $4.50 + Tax. 2. They have ended Taco Tuesday specials. 3. Want to use a card? Add another 3%. FOOD: Ordered the crispy beef taco last night. Delicious! Today? Atrocious. You will want your money back. You will be angry you paid so much for a tiny, frozen-tasting taco. You will taste the cheapness. SERVICE: After ordering $30+ worth of food, the second night in a row, I asked for 4 baggies of the carrots. The man walked away and the cashier came out and said she would have to charge me "for anything past 2." STAFF: Ok. I haven't experienced the rudeness others have but I definitely don't feel welcome. ATMOSPHERE: Clean but dead. They could turn that outside bar area into a lively seating area. Or, I don't know, bring back Taco Tuesday and play some music? SUMMARY: I remember coming here as a kid and the staff would hand out SHEETS of foil so you could fill them with as many carrots as you'd like from their OPEN SALSA BAR. Stop blaming inflation. Reconsider business practices. 50 cents worth of carrots cost you a lifetime customer and a bad review. For everyone else? Sariñana's.

Decided to drop in and was delighted to know their Taco Tuesday special is $1 street tacos for a select handful of 8 protein fillings and $2 for 6 other choices. Even their regular price is still very reasonable. There was definitely a line around 6pm but it moved quickly. Love that they also have a self service taco condiments bar and area on the side of their truck where you can top your food with the freshly sliced or pickled veggies/chilis and slather on various taco sauces to your heart's content. Especially loved that they use a rotating gyro style meat grill for some of their meats. I also noticed they had another truck/van parked nearby where one of the staff would go to replenish some of their supplies for their taco truck. What an efficient way to keep up with demand by having a mobile/secondary vehicle that you can use for storage of stock to keep up with the high demand. I loved all the street tacos that I tried: carnitas, fried fish filet, al pastor, carne asada. Flavorful and done right! Definitely recommend this spot any day of the week when they're open, but especially for their Taco Tuesday specials.
