Very nice service/food. No complaints and if you are in the area stop on by. Lots of choices and specials to enjoy. In a strip mall so not much ambience, but the margaritas will help you forget about that.

We tried but the oil under the salad and sopas was too much.

0h No! What a mistake. We tried this because Mexican is a go to favorite of ours, but never again. The sauces (picante', guacamole, verde', etc.) are not made in house. All tasted metallic. The salsa, we were told was not made in house. It tasted like it came from a jar! We ordered chips, sopes and a taco salad. The best fist! The tortilla chips were hot and crispy! As for the rest no flavor, dripping in grease, and frankly, not enjoyable. Soggy, bland, not much better than frozen from the grocery stores. Our waitress was very nice, helpful and kind! Service A+.

I really enjoyed the salsa flight I feel like it had a lot of flavor. The queso was delicious and my tacos were really good. It's hard to find authentic ground beef tacos. My wife liked her steak taco salad. They only serve premixed margaritas and for the price it's worth it. The server was nice and the establishment was clean and the service was fast. The ONLY complaint I have is the salsa. If it were me I would throw the whole salsa away and just stick with the free salsa flight. Home made salsa MAKES the experience for me. But all together for price, cleanliness, good food, and good service I have to give it a 4 ONLY because I want An Authentic Margarita and Home made salsa

The food here was good as well as the service. Not really impressed by the atmosphere and a bit pricey. You can do better at EL Cerrito Mexican Restaurant & Grill across the street on Congress.

Enjoyed their 2 for 1 margarita, but they don't have crunchy taco shells as they are soft.

It is authentic as posted by others. Service was mediocre at best, food was good but nothing great. We will not be back.

Cinco de Mayo Gem in Trinity: A Must-Try Local Mexican Spot!…read more After wrapping up a fun morning meeting our photographer for a photo shoot of our newest listing, my husband and I decided to celebrate Cinco de Mayo the right way--with an amazing lunch at a fantastic local spot in the Trinity area. Since this was the first time Cinco fell on Taco Tuesday since 2020, I played it safe and made a reservation on OpenTable. Smart move--it was *packed*! If you're a foodie hunting for authentic, flavorful Mexican food with really nice ambience and a welcoming vibe, put this place on your list immediately. You can instantly tell they care about every plate that leaves the kitchen. The house salsa was a standout--thick, rich, and packed with roasted tomato flavor instead of the usual watery stuff. The chips were made in-house and arrived perfectly fresh and warm. We asked for their hot salsa and they delivered with a housemade roasted habanero that brought serious heat! I mixed it with the regular salsa for the perfect balance, while my husband powered through it straight and loved every bite. The $8 house margaritas (normally $10) were the special of the day and excellent --perfectly balanced, not too sweet, not too tart. The bartenders clearly know their craft. For tacos, my husband went with the Oaxaca tacos featuring grilled pineapple (his new favorite) and a Carne Asada that came in a very close second. I ordered the shrimp tacos and the Birria taco. The shrimp came on these housemade, grilled flour tortillas that were crispy, thicker, and absolutely addictive--I'm usually a corn tortilla loyalist, but these changed my mind! The Birria was delicious too (though I did miss having consommé for dipping). Three tacos let you mix and match, which made it easy to try a couple of different options. Even though the restaurant was buzzing, our server (whose name I unfortunately missed--sorry!) and the whole team worked like a well-oiled machine. Food and drinks came out quickly and everyone was genuinely friendly. This is a true locally owned gem. Next time we visit, I'm ordering the flight of four margaritas--something to look forward to! If you're in the Trinity area and love supporting great local restaurants, definitely check this spot out. Let me know if you go--I'd love to hear what you think!
