That day, the person at the front was nice and helpful. I didn't know what to expect, since it was my first time. I was a little late. I didn't realize the traffic was going to be as bad as it was, however, I did call to let them know I was going to be late. There is a grace period but I didn't know how strict or not they were about it. I get to my appointment and right away, it's not a friendly and welcoming vibe. The person at the front (who was different than the one I had seen earlier the week before) and the person who worked on my hair seemed like they didn't want to be there at all and it showed. Bottom line - not worth it. I love treating and pampering myself, and this experience was quite frankly - awful. At times, it was actually painful because she just didn't care and was pulling my hair. I actually held my breath at times because I thought she was going to burn me with the hair tool. Definitely would not recommend.

It felt more personal and that my hair had her undivided attention. She nailed the color exactly as I wanted and gave me luscious layers while keeping the length in. Now I'm sure as she said,she can deliver a great job on the services that she says that she can do. However it bothers me just a bit when I'm told that I'm not giving accurate information to whoever is reading this review. I stated exactly what happened and in no way was it biased or misleading. I asked for very very light ashy blonde color. She said OK and I left with orange hair. My sister asked for the same light blonde color however the owner looked at her hair being that it was black and said she will not be able to achieve that color in one sitting. She never once told me that I was unable to get that color like she did my sister. The only reason why I am updating this review is because 1)The owner responded,though a professional manner, still stated that I (indirectly) was giving inaccurate information when in fact I simply stated exactly what happened. 2) I feel as though she is making excuses rather than owning up to her mistake that she made on my hair. I mean hey it happens no one is perfect.I understand that at the time she was the only one working at her business and has since hired new people however I personally feel it was a little bit unprofessional to book so many people when you know that you're just one person. And just to snowball on top of that, shortage in staff is not a valid reason for the results of my hair. I just feel that if you make a mistake or things didn't go as you had hoped simply own up to it instead of trying to make my review seem illegitimate. I try to make my reviews here on yelp as honest and un picky as possible. If something goes wrong such as a dramatically different color in hair than I had asked for then yes I'm going to bring it up. I'm not asking for anything or trying to offend anybody but I definitely do not hesitate to respond to messages from the owners. As said before the owner had a very professional and well mannered response however the comment she made was not accurate and I wanted to clear it up respectively.

She CONFIRMED the appointment was made over the phone, she LITERALLY said "I have you down for June 30 at 1 pm, see you in two weeks". She asked me to send her a picture just to "see what she's working with". I didn't send a picture until the morning of the appointment. Mind you, I only want my roots lightened. I don't want the rest of my hair toned or a hair cut. I just want my roots lightened. I wasn't asking for a whole makeover.. And she claimed that she didn't have an appointment for 1pm and she was all booked today. Ummm okay but I have an appointment. Then she changed her story and said that oh well since I didn't send a picture, she didn't book the appointment. So why would she say over the phone that my appointment is booked? I was NEVER told that if i didn't send a picture my appointment wouldn't be secured. I was recommended to her by a friend who said she NEVER sent pictures. So I told her that, and she claimed that maybe that person came in for a consultation. Negative. At that point I was over it. She missed my appointment plain and simple.. I needed my hair done for an event tomorrow and now I'm stuck with dark roots. Then she continued to just use excuse after excuse. Bottom line, I made my appointment she forgot or cancelled and now I'm stuck with dark roots and my event is TOMORROW.. Super unprofessional, stay away from this place....
