A would place to have a meal. Orange cranberry bread - good and only $1.25 Baked ziti- plentiful and good. I'd get it again. Spinach pie - not my favorite. It tasted like they added vinager. But still a 3/5. Key lime pie - soft, full of lime flavor and large. Honestly the best key lime desert I've had in a few years maybe ever. Service - solid. Normally service and food I is good here. I called over at 5:30 PM to make sure that they were not closing early for the weather. I was told that they were going to close at 6 PM. I arrived at 5:42PM to place an order and the doors were already locked and staff was exiting the building. Throughout my tenure with them, I must've visited various locations throughout the metro and each maintains such persistent quality. If looking for cakes, I'd suggest the Chocolate Mousse or Carrot Cake. If in the mood for brunch, I like their Eggs Benedict, avocado-English muffin, or classic Caesar. I'm not going to lie, the last Italian Cream Cake we ordered here for my son's birthday (11/5) was a bit of a disappointment. It is supposed to be a light colored cake inside and for years it's always been perfect but this year they overcooked the cake and not only did it not look like a $50 cake it also didn't taste like one. Everyone could see and taste that the cake had been overcooked. They used lots of icing to hide the brown cake. Today I was with my boyfriend and two friends. I ordered the croque madame, and it was tasty. It was not dry, and they made the eggs look like a smiley face alien on the top! (See picture) The potatoes were also not dry. I normally have trouble eating lots of potatoes, but these were both crispy and tender with good seasoning. The others in my party had quiche, croissants, tomato basil soup, etc. The quiche was fluffy in texture and delightful to eat, as usual. The tomato basil soup was appetizing and thick. A cup of it is the perfect side. You can also purchase day-old bread loaves for $1, and they have a large variety. You order at the counters, and they bring the food to your table. I still cannot say enough good things about this place. The people are exceptionally kind, and the customer service is excellent. I recently ordered a birthday cake for my son, but unfortunately, my son contracted COVID, so we had to cancel his celebration. The LaBaguette staff were outstanding in helping me cancel my order, and they were so kind and caring to ask about my son and to express their hopes that he recovers. That meant so much to me. I was sincerely touched. Not only do they have the most wonderful cakes, but they show kindness. This is the only bakery I will use, from now on. Service was slow at best. 40 mins for eggs Florentino to make the table. There was only one other table of people. The potatoes were cold but the best thing on the plate. The egg was way undercooked. The owners here are far friendlier than the owners at Norman's "other La Baguette." The food here is consistently delicious, and the baked goods are simply wonderful beyond compare. Be sure to put your carb guilt aside and sample the Chocolate Mousse Cake made fresh on site. (The Strawberry Napoleons are also singularly memorable, as are the fruit tarts.) The Croque Madame and Croque Monsieur alike are personal favorites, as well. Very close to the O.U. campus -- perfect for students, faculty and staff members, sports fans, and visiting relatives. Had the ciabatta chicken sandwich, which was amazing, with blacks beans (also tasty) and a white mocha which was very up to par or better than most coffee shops. What kind of surprised me was their selection of sandwiches, soups and salads. I had a french dip and it was very, very good. This new Main Street location is several blocks west of their old location across from Norman High, it's now in a newly renovated building that used to house the Boomerang. The new place is very nice, clean and well kept. They advertise free WiFi but I was not able to connect to it. I didn't investigate any further.
