    Haitian patty

For those in search of authentic, flavorful Haitian patties, look no further! I tried the beef, chicken, and cod fish patties, all baked to absolute perfection. Savory, fresh, and delicious! The restaurant's ambiance is very simple; they offer a pickup/to-go experience with warm and friendly service.

Of the best place to purchase Haitian patties and bread. The patties are always delicious and fresh. Social distancing and masks is being practiced.

Street side parking meter very close!

My friend is Haitian and really wanted some Haitian patties, so I went on Yelp to search for a place in Queens near where I work to get some. I place my order online before arriving. The employee had a hard time understanding me which is understandable as I tend to speak soft, and I don't think he completely understood what I was saying. I ended up ordering a dozen patties, along with 2 more individual ones. I got a mix of chicken, fish, herring, and beef. I arrived at 5:30pm, and I was able to find street side parking very easilly, there is 1hr. parking, and the parking meter is very close to the bakery. They offer soups, breads, pastries, and store made juices and drinks. I think the worker spoke French, he was very friendly and even gave me the 2 other patties for free. The patties were very hot and smelled amazing. My friend loved the patties, and so did my family they're a bit spicy and so full of flavor and smokiness. I will definately return again to try some of the other baked goods they offer. They have changed their store hours by the way, the website says 8pm, but this bakery closes at 6pm. During this time only 2 people are allowed in the store at once, and they do have a plastic barrier put up at the cashier.

Delicious Haitian Patties to go along with our carribean theme buffet for our baby shower

My wife and I went to a couple of places that sold Haitian patties and tried them all to see which one would be served at our baby shower. We decided on La Baguette Shop, and placed an order for 10 dozen patties. I was planning on coming back here to pick it up the morning of but Marie, the owner I believe, asked where the venue was and offered to deliver the patties to our venue which was 30 minutes away, for us instead. There was no additional charge or anything that was added and she was doing it out of the goodness of her own heart, so we tipped her well for that gesture. I have to say, she went far and beyond what was expected and I cant say enough good things about Marie and the patties and this store. The patties were a hit at our baby shower and it was devoured by our guests. You can't beat that flaky buttery pastry! We will definitely keep supporting small businesses like hers! Thank you again Marie!

Now, the name…read moremight throw you off at first--yes, Haiti is part of the Caribbean, but when I think "Caribbean," Haiti isn't the first thing that comes to mind. Still, as soon as I got close, I smelled that smell--the familiar aroma that only a true Haitian restaurant has. Not all spots capture it, but when they do, it's like an instant invitation. I was on my way to the nail salon nearby when I first caught the scent. After getting my nails done, I went home, grabbed my daughter (she loves Haitian food as much as I do), and said, "I think I found a new spot--we've got to try it." As soon as we walked in, she said, "Mommy, it has that smell," and I knew we were in for a treat. We ordered the chicken with rice and beans, served with sauce and fried plantains (banan, in Creole). Everything was flavorful and delicious--no complaints at all. The service was also very good. The lady who helped us didn't speak English, but that wasn't an issue--you just point to the size and dish you want, and it's all understood. There are a few different portion sizes available, and other staff members who do speak English, but at that moment, they were in the back. All in all, Amazing Taste Caribbean feels like a hidden gem, and I'm so happy to finally have a Haitian restaurant this close to home. I'm looking forward to going back and trying more dishes in the future.

OUTSTANDING loved the jerky texture and salted delish. Great prices. Griot was delish but a lil more fat pieces than other places. Idk many into deep fried fat chunks but I imagine a delicacy for Haitians Con: lotsa delicious looking food. No one available or willing to explain. Hot af inside even with full ac.

Just don't eat this every day, it wasn't even greasy.. My first time trying Haitian food and I'm loving it. I enjoy food made this way. Everything was delicious and tasted fresh. All the components in every dish added a nice flavor, like the onions in the fried pork... The potato salad was good too. L ate it all before I could get another bite. They took some time to make everything but it was worth the wait. Seriously really good food here. I don't normally even care for tostones but they fried it so well it wasn't dry at all. Nice and crispy on the edges.
