In only tried the Pattie's here . Would have been nice to actually have some more chunks of chicken in the Pattie's instead of grounded up or away that's how it tasted. But The texture of the crust was really good and moist while being just a bit flaky . The prices were good and customer service as well. I've had better at my Local spot so I wouldn't come again .

I really enjoy the jerk chicken meal with the sides of rice and beans and steamed veggies. I've come here for years and it's definitely a go to stop when I'm in the area. The service is quick and the portions are plenty!

Lunch special jerk chicken with ox tail sauce

Okay folks this may be my new go to lunch spot from now on, if you have a chance and you've just gotten out of the airport or work around the area make your way here at least once they're definitely one of the better options around the area for a medley of reasons. First a coherent readable menu, and a nice approachable store front for a non-large chain franchise is a god send around here, alot of the smaller restaurants around the area are pretty run down and sketchy looking with no visible menu anywhere, although at times thats where the best food is battling with all the ambiguity is the last thing I want to do when coming in for a quick meal to take out. I ordered the jerk chicken lunch special, with steamed veggies, the counter lady was nice enough to even throw in a piece of ox tail to let me sample, can honestly say that it is one of the better jerk chickens I've had, meat was nice and tender, sauce was gravy like and stuck to my ribs, nice hardy meal all for 6 dollars is a pretty good deal! ordered the salt fish and ackee patty as well from here just to see what the deal was......was definitely less impressed with that though, just stick to the lunch/dinner items and you'll be okay here

I catered my anniversary. Very simple large pan of jerk wings. I asked for them to be CUT they were not! Large white rice and large rice and peas. The food was tasty! The customer service was atrocious. I called a total of 15 times. Some times my call was put on hold, others sent to voice mail, sometimes not even answered. When it was answered it took them 2 days to FIND my on line order. I had to keep calling to check on receipt of my order. Every one seemed confused! Ohhhh my event was July 23. I paid on line July 18. When arrived for a 1:30 pick up at 2:15 they were still packing up the food. I waited outside for 15 min. After reminding the girl that I was waiting she asked me to come in. I waited another 15 min for them to find a box for the food. No one said , I'm sorry for the delay, is there anything I could get you for the inconvenience , thanks for choosing us... NOTHING!!!!! Not sure if it was worth all the hassle. They definitely need to work on their ON LINE catering communications & customer service!

Buyer beware if you're getting curry chicken. Mine was very pink/raw on the inside. I'm just glad I noticed it. Check your food!

We noticed the Bakery/Restaurant on our way to 5 towns and decided to return for dinner on our way home. At first I was unable to find the place on Yelp, so I took an excess of photos for the listing. We went inside and the food looked pretty decent, so we ordered jerk chicken and oxtail (both with rice & peas and cabbage). They also had a few fresh made juices (carrot, pineapple ginger, tropical punch) and being curious, hungry and thirsty, we got all 3. The oxtail were well seasoned and tender, jerk chicken had a nice balance of spicy/savory/sweet, the rice was "shelly" and the cabbage was average. The food wasn't super hot, but it was warm. We will surely return when in the area. It's the best jerk chicken I've tried in Queens.I The bakery portion was cute and looked like it was good but we were already carrying two big bags. They had red velvet and blue velvet rum cake. Next time. Next time.

Mega oxtail (L) w/ reggae pasta, rice/peas and salad. Mega jerk chicken (R) w/ mac + cheese, rice/peas and steamed vegetables.

This place is amazing! We ordered delivery for them and their food + flavors are absolutely worth it. We ordered two mega sized meals: oxtail and jerk chicken. They're both really delicious and worth upgrading too -- they give so much meat for both! Though the oxtail is more expensive, it is better than the jerk chicken in terms of tenderness and flavor, but the jerk chicken is better value and gives you more meat if you're hungry. I'd come here any time for Jamaican food! Plus, we ordered the day the election was called, and they threw in two free cake samples in red (red velvet) and blue (blue velvet with rum), which is such a nice touch!

Came here for a quick grab and go meal. I ordered the boneless jerk chicken lunch special meal, which was served with peas and rice and salad. I was definitely satisfied, The food was cooked to perfection And the server also placed oxtail gravy on my rice. The only bad this is that parking is scare at this location due to the industrial area it's located in.

So when craving real Jamaican beef patty's I come here! This is the most authentic patty you can possibly get in all of queens, This location is pretty new and it's super big! They have a bakery right next door to it. The only sucky part is that they only have parking available for 4 cars which are always occupied. The minute you walk in you're welcomed with Jamaican goodness! All sorts of yummy food on the hot table, breads! Deserts! All kinds of patty's! Can't wait to come back for the actual food! I'm dying to try their Henny wings!

Very authentic and the prices aren't that bad for the amount of food you'll get. They offer a vast selection of meals.

The woman at the counter called to make sure I was still coming for my food because it took me a bit to walk over. And because I was a new customer, she gave me a quick rundown. Bakery with coffee/tea drinks on weekdays and a rotating food menu Friday and Saturday. Oh! Almost forgot to mention the cornbread. It was like a dessert itself. Sweet, sort of cakey. Enjoyable! Wish I had pic to share, but I got right into that food with no delay. Maybe next time

As I looked inside it was semi dark and I saw a girl inside and asked if they were close she said yes and no lol but that's because they were closing and happened to be there a little later than usual. When I check in it was after closing so I didn't get a lot of pics but SERVICE is TOP NOTCH to allow me to quickly purchase after hours I truly appreciated. The banana pudding cup was mmm good but that Strawberry crunch cheesecake pudding was a heavy hitter, that was by far my favorite but I can't speak too soon until I try them all lol. Thank you ladies for the hospitality. I will be back to try more.

The Definition of a Hidden Gem Near JFK I'm writing this…read morespecifically about the restaurant side of OB's. I was on a work assignment at JFK Airport, and this quickly became my absolute go-to for Caribbean food--I've eaten here for lunch and dinner more times than I can count. If you're looking for a fancy sit-down spot, keep moving; there is no ambiance to speak of as it's strictly take-out. But if you're looking for authentic, high-quality food, this is the place. Here is why OB's is a standout: The Consistency: I've had nearly everything on the menu at this point, and I have yet to be disappointed. The quality is hit out of the park every single time. The Portions: They are amazingly large. You definitely get your money's worth here. The Staff: The folks behind the counter are always friendly and welcoming, which makes a difference when you're grabbing a quick meal. The Price: In a city where everything is getting expensive, their pricing is absolutely spot on. I love the food here so much that even though I don't live in the area, I've frequently made the 30-minute plus drive just to pick up dinner. It's that good.

This is an in and out unless I overlooked gseating arrangements, so dressed or casual will fit. I noticed one side is a Jamaican restaurant serving traditional dishes and the other side is a bakery. I also noticed that there where 4 workers in the bakery, one worker was helping a customer, a second taking pictures of the product, a third singing and walking around, and a fourth was putting pastries out. NO ONE acknowledged me or any other person that came in after me. I guess the assumptions are that the customer doesn't have a choice, so they have a definite sale. The gentleman finally finished and waited on me. The cake I chose was vanilla with white icing and red.(Pictured) The cake was very delicious and semi sweet weighing more on the less sweet side. The improvements needed are, greeting your customers or potential customers when they come in. Even if the worker has no intention of servicing the customer. Just another day!
